Abstract

Abstract: The initial observation of the researcher in SMA Negeri 1 Jerowaru shows the students 'learning interest is low, the students' learning result is less than the maximum and the method used by the teacher is less precise. Based on this research is done about the application of cooperative learning model type STAD assisted Macromedia Flash to improve motivation and student cognitive learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to describe the STAD cooperative model type supported by Macromedia Flash in improving students' cognitive motivation and learning outcomes. Research subjects class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Jerowaru. The type of research is Classroom Action Research conducted two cycles, each cycle of two meetings. The approach in this study is a qualitative approach and a quantitative approach because it describes the state and data analysis. Student motivation data on cycle I reaches average 44,8 with medium category. In cycle II the student's motivation level increased, reaching 66,2 with high category. Student learning outcomes in cycle I the total number of completed students is 14 students with 70% complete thoroughness (not complete) then increased in the complete cycle II to 18 students, with 90% classical completeness (thorough). It can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model type STAD with Macromedia Flash can improve motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Jerowaru

Abstract

Telah dilaksanakan pelatihan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) bagi guru di SMA Negeri 1 Sukamulya. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan, yaitu pelatihan (in service training/IST) dan pendampingan (on service training/OST). Pada proses IST peserta mendapatkan materi yang berkaitan dengan penelitian tindakan kelas, sedangkan pada proses OST peserta didampingi dalam melakukan penulisan naskah PTK. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang tujuan utamanya adalah memberikan pemahaman tentang penulisan karya ilmiah mendapat apresiasi yang baik dari pihak sekolah. Kehadiran guru dalam kegiatan mencapai 80% dari total semua guru yang direncanakan terlibat. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan peserta nampak bersemangat, hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusiasnya para guru dalam mengikuti seluruh kegiatan pelatihan, baik dalam pemberian materi maupun pada proses diskusi atau tanya jawab.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using the contextual approach based on hands-on activity toward students’ science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes of class VII of SMP 1 Kediri in the academic year 2016/2017. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The research sample consisted of 51 students divided into experimental classes and control classes. The technique of collecting data in the form of tests to assess students 'cognitive learning outcomes, and performance assessment for students' science process skills. The results showed that the experimental class posttest average was 47.59 and the control class was 55.8. The students’ science process skills score for the experimental class with an average of 77.33 with a high category. The results of the t-test are obtained tcount <ttable (-2.012 <1.98), so that the contextual approach based on hands-on activity does not affect on the students’ cognitive learning outcomes of class VII of SMP 1 Kediri in the academic year 2016/2017.
