Abstract

Cabenge River is part of the WalanaeCenranae River area in Soppeng Regency. Annually, the area around the Cabenge River gets the most losses from floods, both in terms of facilities and infrastructures. This study aims to map the areas prone to flood and flood risk, based on the field that gets the most significant impact. This study uses a Geographic Information System (GIS) as a tool and ArcGis Software in determining the level of vulnerability and risk of flooding at the study site. This type of research is a combination of mapping (topographic results) and map analysis. The variables used are DEM (Digital Elevation Model) data and flood volume. The data processing technique used is the GIS-based inundation model approach using inundation height (H) based on a comparison between the volume of water (V) in inundated areas and the volume of water (Q) of flood sources. The results showed that Lilirilau District was in the high hazard class with an area of 100 km2 and had the biggest impact, while in Liliriaja District, the area that was in a high hazard class was 34 km2 and Ganra District was 21 km2.

Abstract

The community, both individuals and groups, need water for daily and other needs. From the various types of needs, the water for drinking water is a top priority, above all other necessities.Excessive exploitation of groundwater that exceeds the ability of aquifers to provide groundwater due to competition for various interests can cause a continuous decline in groundwater level and will certainly reduce the potential for groundwater availability in the aquifer. In this research, the potential of groundwater in Jeneponto’s aquifers in several locations is examined using in situ pumping test. From the pumping test results, it is known that the potential of groundwater reserve in Jeneponto Regency is quite significant and is spread in several districts with a minimum discharge supply of 4 litres per second. However, some procedures must be taken to protect the availability of groundwater in the regency from the technical aspects for example the determination of pumping location, the depth of groundwater pumping and the maximum pumping discharge allowed, and also all steps that support groundwater recharge.

Abstract

carefully considered to ensure that the water demand of the students and staff can be met effectively and efficiently. Calculations show that a water demand of 0.35 m3/min is required, and various existing pipe diameters are used, ranging from 65mm for the main pipes, 60mm and 50mm for the header pipes, to 40mm, 32mm, 30mm, 25mm, 20mm, and 15mm for the shaft pipes. However, after controlling for velocity values using Epanet software, it was found that some pipes had values below 1.8m/s and above 2.4m/s, which could compromise system efficiency. Therefore, the effective pipe diameter for the header pipes was found to be 125mm and 90mm, and for the shaft pipes, it ranged from 90mm to 15mm. The results of this study highlight that the clean water piping system in the STIBA building must be carefully designed and evaluated to meet the clean water demands of the students and staff effectively and efficiently. This can be achieved by selecting effective pipe diameters based on the Epanet calculations and ensuring that the velocity values remain within the specified limits.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang sistem plumbing air bersih dan air kotor pada Gedung Sekolah Dasar Telkom Makassar. Untuk air kotor, penentuan dimensi pipa air kotorserta pipa air buangan dilakukan berdasarkan nilai unit alat plumbing yang dilayani,dengan menggunakan tabel UBAP buangan secara kumulatif, lalu menentukan ukuran diameter pipa air kotor dan air buangan. Air kotor yang berasal dari WC dan air buangan yang berasal dari lavatory, semuanya dialirkan ke sumur resapan dan septictank dengan menggunakan pipa PVC diameter 3". Kemiringan pipa untuk pipamendatar, ukuran pipa yang digunakan yaitu pipa PVC diameter 3” atau 75 mm. Untuk air bersih, sistem pemipaan distribusi air bersih direncanakan dengan memakai Sistem tangki atap dari top reservoir ke toilet-toilet lantai 1 sampai dengan lantai 3. Berdasarkan data penghuni, jumlah murid, guru, staff, dan pengunjung sebanyak 642orang yaitu sebesar 52 m/hari. Adapun alat plumbing yang ada pada Gedung Sekolah Dasar Telkom Makassar terdiri dari 12 bak cuci tangan, 18 kloset, 9 peturasan. Oleh karena itu, laju aliran air adalah sebesar 0,008 m3/menit. Sedangkan volume bak air bawah (ground water tank) yaitu sebesar 1,97 m3 , dan volume efektif bak air atas (roof tank) sebesar 6,76 m3 . Untuk ukuran diameter pipa yang digunakan pada pipa utama sebesar 65 mm, pipa header pembagi H1 sebesar 50 mm, pipa shaft 2 sebesar 40 mm, dan pipa shaft 3 sebesar 40 mm. Dari hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan yang bermanfaat bagi pengelola Gedung Sekolah Dasar Telkom Makassardalam mengoptimalkan sistem plumbing air bersih dan air kotor untuk mendukung kenyamanan dan kesehatan lingkungan di lingkungan sekolah.
