Abstract

Teaching Factory sebagai sarana kegiatan pembelajaran bertujuan menjadi tempat untuk memperluas pengetahuan dan meningkatkan keterampilan di politeknik yang bebasis ketrampilan dan praktek. Teaching Factory prinsipnya memberi gambaran mahasiswa tentang proses kerja industri. Teaching factory Politeknik ATI Padang memiliki luas lantai produksi 25m x 12m di mana area tempat produksinya cukup tidak teratur dan tidak ergonomis baik dari lingkungan kerja maupun kondisi kerjanya. (1) Letak mesin dan jarak antar yang tidak teratur, (2) pola aliran bahan tiap departemen kerja yang tidak jelas dan (3) letak peralatan yang tidak sesuai. Penataan letak fasilitas ruang produksi yang ergonomis dapat memperlancar proses produksi, memberikan keamanaan kepada mahasiswa dalam melakukan praktek di teaching factory. Jurnal ini mencoba untuk mengimplementasikan kaidah dasar tata letak, dasar K3 dan konsep 5S dalam penataan ulang teaching factory dengan memanfaatkan luas lantai produksi. Solusi yang dihasilkan adalah tata letak fasilitas yang memenuhi kaidah tata letak pabrik, seperti (1) jarak antar mesin yang distandarkan, (2) jarak antar departemen yang distandarkan, (3) dimensi area operator yang distandarkan dan pemberian allowance pada total luas area setiap departemen, (4) tata letak fasilitas yang memenuhi kaidah Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (K3), yaitu penentuan jalur evakuasi, lebar jalan untuk dilalui oleh dua operator, pembersihan lantai produksi dan penataan fasilitas yang menerapkan prinsip 5S (seiri, seiton, seiketsu, shitsuke dan seiton).

Abstract

Oil losses in the oil processing industry is still of particular concern. The purpose of this study is to find out how the relationship and influence between CPKO oil tonnage and temperature in each tank, analyze oil losses and causal factors using Correlation and Linear Regression. Based on the results of research it can be known that there is a suspected relationship between temperature and oil tonnage. There are several factors that cause oil losses including human error and other factors such as the condition of the tank, raw materials and the monitoring process. Recommended improvement proposals for the company are to improve the method of sounding, equip the tank with temperature monitoring, refine sounding equipment, supervise operators in the work area and conduct supervision for each receipt of raw materials.

Abstract

Peningkatan kapasitas produksi menjadi salah satu upaya Usaha Kecil dan Menengah untuk memuaskan konsumen dalam hal target produksi, efesiensi waktu, meningkatkan daya saing dan mempertahankan eksistensi perusahaan. UD. RANTI merupakan salah satu UKM yang memproduksi makanan ringan berbahan ubi kayu. Permasalahan yang dihadapi saat ini adalah sebagian proses produksi mulai input sampai dengan output tidak sesuai dengan spesifikasi yang dipersyaratkan Dinas Kesehatan, salah satunya proses penggilingan. Minimnya pengetahuan dalam merancang mesin peralatan produksi dan minimnya modal dalam pengadaan peralatan tersebut menambah bagian permasalahan dari mitra usaha ini. Melalui Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini tim menawarkan solusi untuk merancang dan membuat mesin penggiling sebagai upaya pemecahan masalah tersebut. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan yang direncanakan seperti: Analisis Situasi pada Unit Usaha, Merancang dan membuat mesin penggiling, Melakukan pelatihan pengoperasian dan maintenance mesin sekaligus penyerahan mesin kepada Unit Usaha, Evaluasi Program Kegiatan. Hasil yang didapat dari kegiatan ini berupa mesin penggiling bahan baku yang sesuai dengan persyaratkan Dinas Kesehatan dimana mesin/peralatan produksi harus menggunakan bahan stainless steel agar tidak terjadi cemaran logam pada bahan baku makanan. Dalam hal produktivitas, terjadi peningkatan dalam hal waktu produksi yang lebih singkat. Diharapkan dengan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini dapat meningkatkan produktivitas atau kapasitas produksi dari unit Usaha Kecil dan Menengah dalam hal ini UD. RANTI.

Abstract

CV. XYZ is a company engaged in the production of wood into finished goods (furniture), one of which is wooden chairs. In the process of making wooden chairs, various types of damaged products such as broken, painted (varnished), scuffed, and loose are still found. This study aims to analyze the quality control of CV. XYZ and provide suggestions for improvement to reduce product defects, using the Statistical Quality Control (SQC) method with seven tools and the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method. The results show that in the period January 2021-February 2022 the average percentage of defective products per month is 5.63%, where this result exceeds the company's standard of 5%. The results of the analysis stated that abrasion defects and stretching defects dominated the overall defective products, with the causal factors being the lack of supervision during the production process and no routine machine maintenance schedule being carried out. The suggested improvement given is to appoint a senior worker as a supervisor at each work station, hold a briefing before and after production is completed by the management to all operators, then make a special schedule for periodic inspection, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment at the workplace. outside the production schedule, and the last is to create and place work instructions on the use and maintenance of the machine.

Abstract

Productivity is needed to compete in the modern retail market which requires the right product at the right time and in the right quantity. This activity aims to increase productivity in Small and Medium Enterprises, one of which is Mamabon. Mamabon SMEs have not been able to fully meet the target market due to limited production capacity so they need machines to increase production. The stages of this activity are in the form of surveys to partner locations, choosing alternative solutions, implementing and evaluating activities. Based on the results of the activity evaluation, the procurement of production machines in this activity was successful in increasing productivity by increasing production capacity by 66.6%, shortening production time and stages.

Abstract

Transportation has an important role in the logistics of a company, both in services and products. Increased orders in 2020 for wooden speaker products at CV. XYZ (Wonoayu-Sidoarjo) makes this company try to minimize transportation costs at their operational level. This study focuses on determining the relationship between changes in the type of fleet vehicle and the depot location on the operational costs of product delivery and the time to return to the depot in terms of adding trips. The methodology used in this study is the CVRP Multi Trip with Heterogeneous fleet vehicle and the Gravity Location Model based on the heuristic method. Saving heuristic method and nearest neighbor are heuristic methods used in computational studies to determine the order of visits to the formed sub-routes. There are 4 scenarios that are modeled to further analyze the results of these computations, namely: (1) CVRP multi-trip of old location with wings box truck, (2) CVRP multi-trip of old location with Fuso truck, (3) CVRP multi-trip of the new location with wings box truck, and (4) CVRP multi-trip of the new location with fuso truck. The results of the study concluded that there is a relationship between: (1) changes in fleet vehicle type with total traveling distance, (2) changes in depot location with total traveling distance, (3) fuel consumption rate on vehicle operating costs, (4) average vehicle speed on the time back to the depot. Scenario 4 is the best scenario in terms of traveling distance, fuel costs and delivery time. However, moving the depot center is not easy, so the scenario 2 is the most applicable condition considering that the fuso truck is available and has a higher utility than the wings box truck

Abstract

PT. IRNC is a company that operates in the smelter industry. One of the company's production processes is to produce and distribute raw materials in the form of wet Ore into iron and steel products. The distribution of raw materials in this company is continuously ongoing, leading to frequent failures in the functions of the gearbox and the chain of transportation of mineral raw materials. The company has a bustling machine activity but is not associated with the preventive maintenance activities of the machine. One of the activities that can solve the maintenance problem is scheduling preventative maintenance activities and periodic repairs to the gearbox and chain carrier of raw materials. Preventive maintenance is the maintenance activity on the machine which has the purpose of preventing the occurrence of damage, or the maintenance method for the machine planned for the prevention to extend the life of the machine as well as to avoid the failure of function on the machinery that may occur during the production process. This research aims to provide recommendations for scheduled maintenance of the machine with a preventive maintenance approach with the ISMO Method.  The results of the research carried out based on the type of work performed inspection (I) and small repair (S) obtained results respectively for gearbox 13 times inspections (I), and 21 times small repairs (S), while for the chain of transportation of Ore 8 times inspection and four times small reparations, and the number of workers involved 21 people, with the total labor costs of Rp—863,820 million per year.
