Abstract

This study originated from the low ability of mathematical Problem solving skills of student of STKIP Tapanuli Selatan Padangsidimpuan. It is evident from the low result test mathematical problem solving skills of student of several STKIP Tapanuli Selatan Padangsidimpuan. This study aimed to determine the effect STAD toward mathematical problem solving skills students.This research is Quasy Experiment. The population in this study were students of class 2th SMAN 1 STKIP Tapanuli Selatan Padangsidimpuan. Techniques used in sampling is total sampling. The sample in this study were students of class II-B.Research instrument in this study is test the ability of problem solving students. Data were analyzed using mean aquality test that the t test and U test. These result indicate that There is no interaction between early learning approach with the ability to affect students’ ability in mathematical problem solving skills

Abstract

This study originated from the low ability of communication mathematics of student of SMAN 1 Angkola Selatan. This study aimed to determine the effect use of cooperative learning model type Numbered Head Together (NHT) toward ability of communication mathematics of student.This research is Quasy Experiment. The population in this study were students of class 1th SMAN 1 Angkola Selatan. Techniques used in sampling is total sampling. The sample in this study were students of class X1 as an experimental class and student of class X2 as an control class. Research instrument in this study is test the ability of communication mathematics of student. Data were analyzed using mean aquality test that the t test. significant Taraf obtained was 0,666>0,05 which means the alternative hypothesis is accepted. That is, a significant difference between the type of cooperative learning model Numbered Head Together (NHT) toward ability of communication mathematics of student of SMAN 1 Angkola Selatan

Abstract

Memahami sinergi antara dua bidang ilmu bukan hanya sekedar memiliki pemahaman mengenai bagaimana cara menyelesaikan soalnya saja, tetapi ada dampak positif yang dapat diperoleh oleh setiap peserta didik. Memahami sinergi tersebut berarti mengajarkan setiap peserta didik untuk memiliki wawasan yang luas, serta memiliki sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi terus berkembang sepanjang waktu, untuk mengembangkan IPTEK tersebut tentunya dibutuhkan tenaga-tenaga ahli yang berkualitas dan mampu berpikir luas kedepan. Apa jadinya jika sarjana kita tidak mampu bersaing di dunia kerja? Jawaban dari pertanyaan tersebut tentunya akan mengarah kepada pengangguran. Bisa kita bayangkan bagaimana meningkatnya sarjana pengangguran akibat rendahnya ilmu yang dia miliki, serta wawasan yang dimilikinya tidak luas. Oleh sebab itu, pentingnya mengarahkan mereka kepada pemahaman mengenai sinergi antara dua bidang ilmu agar pola pemikiran yang mereka miliki dapat berkembang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan dalam 2 siklus yaitu siklus 1 dan siklus 2. Pada siklus 1 diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa 20 dari 39 orang memiliki persentase < 60% dengan kata lain mahasiswa tersebut belum mencapai ketuntasan belajar yang optimal. Pada siklus tersebut kurang dari 50% mahasiswa belum tuntas sehingga dilakukan sklus ke 2, pada siklus ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa 15 dari 39 orang belum tuntas sedangkan 24 orang mahasiswa sudah dapat dikategorikan tuntas karena persentase yang dicapai > 60%. Siklus hanya dilakukan pada siklus 2 karena pada siklus tersebut > 50% mahasiswa sudah dikategorikan tuntas dalam belajar. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis terhadap data pengaruh penguasaan fungsi eksponen kompleks terhadap perhitungan rangkaian listrik AC, berdasarkan analisis tersebut diperoleh nilai sig. > 0,05 yaitu 0,045 > 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penguasaan fungsi eksponen kompleks memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap perhitungan rangkaian listrik AC atau dengan kata lain terdapat sinergi antara fungsi eksponen kompleks dengan perhitungan rangkaian listrik AC.

Abstract

The purpose research is how to know about validation, prackticalities, and effectiveness from the complex analysis with make strategy inquiry. Based on the research 4 these are: 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Develop, and 4) Disseminated. This research done in the test phase is performed on seventh grade B students STKIP Tapanuli Selatan totaling 18 students. The Instrument of research validated by a validator 3 students who have the same background with the research carried. Based on calculation validation obtained a value of 118 with a percentage of 75,6%. So it can be conclude that the analysis of complex materials using the inquiry strategy is valid and can be used for the learning process in the course of complex analysis. Subsequent to the calculation of the practicalities of teaching material obtained a value of 588 with a percentage of 77% so it can be concluded that the complex analysis of teaching materials using the inquiry practical strategies. For use in one of the learning process of teaching materials and reference in learning. The last stage of the calculations in this research is to best the effetiveness of teaching materials and based on the calculation result obtained percentage of 57%. So, it can be conclude that the analysis complex materials using the inquiry strategy effective for use as teaching materials in class because it can enhance activity of the students in learning and can improve cognitive abilities and other mathematical abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan metakognitif siswa dengan kemampuan akademik yang tinggi, sedang, dan rendah untuk memecahkan masalah matematika pada siswa kelas XI MAN Panyabungan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Informan penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru matematika, dan 15 siswa yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan catatan lapangan, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan reduksi, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) siswa yang memiliki kemampuan matematika tinggi memiliki pemecahan masalah matematika yang sangat baik (metakognitif strategic use), (2) siswa yang memiliki kemampuan matematika sedang memiliki pemecahan masalah matematis yang baik (metakognitif aware use), dan ( 3) siswa yang memiliki kemampuan matematika rendah memiliki cukup pemecahan masalah matematika (metakognitif tacit use).

Abstract

The aims of this study is to: 1) describe of using inside outside circle learning model, 2) describe students’ mathematic communication ability before and after using inside outside circle learning model, and 3) describe effectiveness of using inside outside circle learning model on students’ mathematic communication ability at the seventh grade students SMP Negeri 1 Tantom Angkola. This research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with sample 30 students and they were taken by using simple random sampling technique. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it was found that: (a) the score of using inside outside circle learning model was 3.9 (very good category), b) the average of students’ mathematic communication ability before using inside outside circle learning model was 33.13 (fair category) and after using inside outside circle learning model was 84.40 (very good category), significant value was 0.00<0.05, and c) N-Gain value was 0.76 (high category), inside outside circle learning model was effective which had percentage 66.7% (effective criteria). It was concluded inside outside circle learning model increased students’ mathematic communication ability at the seventh grade students SMP Negeri 1 Tantom Angkola.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to know whether there is a significant effectiveness of using Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of solid at the eighth grade students of Ponpes Al-Mukhtariyyah Sungai Dua Portibi. The research was conducted by applying experimental method (one group pretest post test design) with 42 students as the sample and they were taken by using simple random sampling technique from 128 students. Observation and test were used in collecting the data. Based on descriptive analysis, it could be found (a) the average of using TPS learning model was 3,33 (very good category) and (b) the average of students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of solid before using TPS learning model was 61.65 (enough category) and after using TPS learning model was 79.66 (good category). Furthermore, based on inferential statistic by using pair sample ttest, (SPSS version 20),the result showed the significant value was less than 0.05 (0.000<0.05). It means, there is a significant effectiveness of using Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on students’ mathematical problem solving ability on the topic of solid at the eighth grade students of Ponpes Al-Mukhtariyyah Sungai Dua Portibi. Abstract

This study aims to determine the students' mathematical understanding ability, early ability students with early ability high, medium, and moderate initial abilities in the 3rd semester entrepreneurship of program study students. The improvement of students' mathematical understanding skills is carried out using a problem-based learning model. This research was carried out by applying the Qualitative Research method. Informants in this study were the Head of the Study Program and students who were taken using the Total Sampling technique. Data collection techniques used field notes, tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using data reduction. The results showed (1) students who had high early mathematical abilities had very good mathematical understanding abilities, (2) students who had moderate early mathematical abilities had good mathematical understanding abilities, and (3) students who had low mathematical abilities had low mathematical abilities sufficient mathematical understanding.

Abstract

Education aims to create quality human resources and be able to carry out the goals of education and one of them is the ability to solve mathematical problems. This type of research is descriptive research by carrying out a literature review of 10 journals. Based on the review conducted, it was concluded that abilities are very important for every student, teacher, and facilitator to have. Problem solving abilities can also collaborate with self-confidence, self-creativity, and innovation in improving academic achievement and enhancing future careers.
