Abstract

Special needs children are children who need special treatment due to disorder on physical and psychological growth functions. One example of this disorder is autism. Autism is a disorder that includes cognitive, emotional, behavioral and social areas. In fact, children with autism have potential that is often overlooked. Art can help deal with this problem by applying various techniques of art therapy such as cutting, sticking and painting with a variety of media materials, textures, colors and shapes. Autistic children will get a pleasant and calming experience and other positive benefits. The creativity program for autistic children under the Percik Insani Foundation is in the form of art training that focuses on exploration and expression of every autistic child in the hope of improving fine motor function, creativity, self-potential and self-confidence that can help children to grow better and live more independently.

Abstract

Art activities have been proven effective as psychological therapies that stimulatechildren imagination in a positive way. A series of expressive art therapy workshops was conductedon children with cancer, who were temporarily stayed at Rumah Singgah YKAKI Bandung. The activities were integrated with fitness, music and dance. The aim was to stimulate the creative expression and spontaneity in children through the interactive and therapeutic art activities. The programwas expected to help reduce stress on children with cancer. Cancer patients were invited to create positive narratives, tell stories and imagine their current whereabouts also created works based on these narratives. At the end, their creative workswere exhibited to public as a form of achievement.Kegiatan seni terbukti bermanfaat terapi psikologis yang mendorong anak untukberimajinasi ke arah yang positif. Sebuah serial workshop terapi seni ekspresifdilaksanakan kepada anak-anak pasien kanker di rumah singgah YKAKIBandung. Kegiatan ini diintegrasikan dengan kegiatan lainnya, seperti olah tubuh, musik dan tari. Tujuannya untuk merangsang spontanitas berekspresi kreatif melalui kegiatan seni yang interaktif dan terapeutik. Program kegiatan seni rupa ini dapat membantu mereduksi stress pada anak pasien kanker. Dalam prosesnya pasien anak kanker diajak menciptakan narasi positif, bercerita dan berimajinasi tentang keberadaan mereka saat ini dan membuat karya berdasarkan narasi tersebut. Pada akhir sessi, karya kreatif mereka dipamerkan kepada publik sebagai wujud dari pencapaian.

Abstract

One of the private institutions in Bandung, Universitas Kristen Maranatha, operates under the tridharma of higher education and the ICE (integrity, care, excellence) values approach. The application of these values is demonstrated in the execution of community service activities by several teaching staff from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design as material formulators as well as skills trainers/teachers in the form of creativity training through the application of basic thermoplastic designs to Trimulia Junior High School students in Bandung. Through the use of thermoplastics, this activity is meant to help kids develop their artistic creativity. About 100 persons participated in the activity, divided into 4 classes of 25 pupils each with the help of a lecturer and/or a student. This activity can achieve its goal of fostering a knowledge of creativity through creative design thinking by allowing participants to transform the materials in their immediate environment to create things with practical and aesthetic value.

Abstract

Perkembangan ekonomi dunia yang cukup pesat saat ini menjadikan latar belakang bagi pihak SMA Trinitas Bandung untuk mengenalkan lebih dini tentang ilmu investasi kepada para murid. SMA Trinitas Bandung bekerja sama dengan PT. Sinarmas Sekuritas dan Bursa Efek Indonesia untuk memberikan edukasi investasi dan ekonomi disesuaikan dengan porsi usia sekolah menengah supaya para siswa dapat mengenal dan siap mempelajari lebih lanjut tentang ilmu tersebut di jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya melalui pendirian galeri investasi edukasi. Dalam rangka mewujudkan hal tersebut, SMA Trinitas Bandung meminta pendampingan desain kepada program sarjana Desian Interior serta program sarjana Desain Komunikasi Visual, Fakultas Seni Rupa dan Desain, Universitas Kristen Maranatha sebagai penunjang estetika di galeri investasi edukasi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui metode pendampingan melalui difusi ipteks berupa pembuatan desain logo serta plakat untuk galeri investasi edukasi di SMA Trinitas Bandung. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah hasil rekomendasi desain logo dan plakat yang didesain oleh tim pengabdi untuk dipergunakan pada Galeri Investasi Edukasi di SMA Trinitas Bandung.

Abstract

Maranatha Christian University Museum was officially established on October 16, 2015, to coincide with the 50th Anniversary of Maranatha Christian University. The museum, named "Museum Maranatha," presents a collection of historical objects related to the journey of Maranatha Christian University since its establishment in 1965. However, the Maranatha Museum still has obstacles in the form of limited visitor access, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. On the other hand, information technology and media, proliferating at this time, can be used as a solution to the limited access of visitors to public spaces. The background of this research is an effort to present new virtual spaces so that access is not limited so that the purpose the importance of the historical aspects of the founding of Maranatha Christian University can be more widely known by the public, especially within the scope of Maranatha Christian University. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using purposive sampling and snowballing approach with relatively narrow inclusion criteria and is interested in the museum and its development. The collection and processing of data from respondents who were distributed exclusively to the Maranatha Christian University were considered when designing the virtual museum concept of Maranatha Christian University.
