Abstract

This research aimed to determine the relationship between the contribution of expert team members in a Jigsaw cooperative learning on student learning outcomes. The design was descriptive correlational. Samples were students of class XI IPA2 selected by purposive sampling. The quantitative data were obtained from pretest and posttest values, whereas the qualitative data in the form of descriptions of expert team members. Hypothesis testing is done using a simple correlation test. The assessment results showed that the average contribution of expert team members in the home team is moderate (62,3%), the average learning outcomes of home team members is low (19,79%) and the average learning outcomes of expert team is moderate (47,78%), as well as there was a moderate relationship between the contribution of expert  team members with the learning outcomes of home team members and there was a strong relationship between the activities of expert team members with their learning outcomes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kontribusi anggota  tim ahli dalam pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Desain yang digunakan adalah deskriptif korelasional. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretes dan postes, sedangkan data kualitatif berupa deskripsi kontribusi anggota tim ahli. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kontribusi anggota tim ahli di tim asal tergolong sedang (62,3%), rata-rata hasil belajar anggota tim asal tergolong rendah (19,79%) dan rata-rata hasil belajar anggota tim ahli tergolong sedang (47,78%), serta terdapat hubungan yang sedang antara kontribusi anggota tim ahli dengan hasil belajar anggota tim asal dan terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara aktivitas anggota tim ahli dengan hasil belajarnya. Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar siswa, hasil belajar siswa, kontribusi anggota tim ahli dalam jigsaw

Abstract

Current learning emphasizes the integration of science and technology to face the challenges of the 21st century. Elementary school students experience difficulties in developing critical thinking skills due to the limitations of thematic learning media and appropriate learning approaches. Teachers must support the learning process following the changing times, namely integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) into fun learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the approach stem using thematic learning media in developing the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. This research is a quantitative research using a quasi-experimental method with one-group-pre-test-post-test, which is to see the difference between the pre-test and post-test with 1 class without a control class. Furthermore, the data obtained in this study were in the form of students 'answers to data collection instruments that measured students' critical thinking skills before and after treatment with the approach STEM using thematic learning media. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it is concluded that the criteria for improving students' critical thinking skills are in the moderate category, there is a difference in the mean critical thinking skills between the pre-test group, namely before and the post-test group, namely after learning with the approach STEM using thematic learning media and the post-test group, that is, after learning with the approach STEM using thematic learning media has average critical thinking skills better than the pre-test group, namely before learning with the approach STEM using thematic learning media.Keywords: STEM, Learning Media, Thematic, Critical Thinking

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the use of realia media on science learning outcomes in primary schools. The study was conducted using a quasi-experimental method with non equivalent control group design, by looking at the differences in pre-test and post-test between experimental and control class. The research subjects were students in fourth grade of SDN 2 Pringsewu Timur with class A as the experimental class and class B as the control class selected by cluster random sampling technique. Data analysis was performed through t-test, which was previously tested for normality and homogeneity prerequisites. The results showed that there were significant differences in learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes (significance level p = 0.006). Thus it can be concluded that the use of realia media is effective in improving science learning outcomes of students in fourth grade SDN 2 Pringsewu Timur.
