Aphrodisiac is a medicinal and food ingredient that can arouse sexual desire. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of aphrodisiac effectiveness and the effect of aphrodisiac activity on effervescent tablets of bitter melon extract (Momordica charantia L) and garlic (Allium sativum L) single and combination on male white mice (Mus musculus). In this study using the ICC method (introduction, claimbing, coitus) on 25 male mice wistar strain which were divided into 5 groups. Treatment group I as a negative control, which was administered aquadest orally. Then group II was given a solution of effervescent tablets single dose of bitter melon fruit 980mg / KgBB. Furthermore, group III was given a solution of effervescent tablets of a single dose of garlic 150mg / KgBB. treatment group IV was given a solution of effervescent tablets combination 1/2 : 1/2 bitter melon fruit extract 490mg / KgBB and garlic 75mg / kgBB. Treatment group V was given a combination effervescent tablet solution of 1: 1 extract of bitter melon fruit 980mg / KgBB and garlic 150mg / KgBB. Then observed and calculated the number of ICCs for 2 hours. The results obtained were then processed using SPSS ANOVA and Post Hoc follow-up tests. The results showed that all treatment groups had significantly different aphrodisiac effects, but the best frequency of aphrodisiac activity showed that the combination of 1: 1 extract of bitter melon 980mg / KgBB and garlic 150mg / KgBB had the most frequency value using the ICC method when compared to other effervescent tablet formulations.
