Abstract

Abstract*Working women who are not married above the ideal age in Indonesia have their own anxiety due to often getting stigma from society as old virgins, not selling well, choosing a lot and others. This paper will try to analyze the anxiety of working women with sociological analysis using feminism theory, the research method using descriptive qualitative methods with purposive sampling of informants selection on six working women with an age range of 30-35 years with a minimum education of S1. The results of the study show that working women who are nervous about the age of marriage come from the encouragement of the family and social environment, besides that the cultural view of the ideal marriageable age in society makes unmarried women above the ideal age as a failure.Keywords: Feminism Theory, Age of Marriage Anxiety, Working Women.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine the extent of the social and economic life portrait of the family of Women Workers (TKW) from Dumai city who work in Malaysia, TKW in this study is limited to TKWs who work in the domestic realm. The location of the study was carried out in Pangkalan Sesai Village, West Dumai District, with the selection of information carried out deliberately on 4 TKW families. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative analysis through the stages of reduction, presentation of data, and conclusions. The results showed that there was a change in the socioeconomic life of TKW families from the city of Dumai, the change came from the remittances sent by TKW where the money was used for social and economic life of the family left behind.Keywords: Social-Economy life, Family, TKW
