Abstract

Stress Distribution Analysis on Bolt Head with Various Fillets Using PhotoelasticityMethod. A geometry modification can be use to reduce stress concentration. This research isinvestigating the influence offillet radius in the head ofbolt. Different than most commonbolt, thefillet ismade at the bottom surface of head around its neck. To show the stress distribution we use classicalexperimental mechanics method, photo elasticity. Loading comesfrom a lead screw and measured by aload cell connected to a computer data logger. As the result, a 5 mm fillet radius may reduce maximumshear stress up to 35%than nofillet radius, so its effective to minimize stress concentration in head bolt.

Abstract

 This study reports the difference between products of two kinds of leadership style in an insurance company in terms of productivity measured using total closing and amount of bonus obtained by the company in a two-year operayion and work satisfaction factor.  The study was conducted in an insurance company in Malang.  Data on work satisfaction were collected using questionnaire and data were analyzed using t-test for independent sample.  The study revealed that supporting leadership style is superior in terms of productivity. Attainment on total closing and bonus within two-year operation as well as work satisfaction was significantly superior.  AIA is recommended to implement situational leadership style to increase productivity of agency and to find added value in terms of work satisfaction of the agencies.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kerusakan dan karakteristik spektrum vibrasi dari bantalan yang masih bagus, bantalan yang cacat 30% di lintasan dalam, cacat 30% di lintasan luar, cacat 30% di rolling element, dan bantalan yang rusak secara alami. Penelitian dilakukan dengan rig tool menggunakan bantalan 2205-K-2RS-TVH-C3 pada kecepatan 1500rpm, sinyal vibrasi diukur dengan alat FAG Detector III. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisa dengan trendline software. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bantalan dengan kondisi bagus memiliki karakteristik amplitudo velocity dibawah 1.80 mm/s dan spektrum vibrasi FFT velocity dan demodulation of acceleration yang tidak berimpitan dengan garis frekuensi impuls baik BPFI, BPFO dan BSF. Bantalan cacat 30% di lintasan dalam menghasilkan amplitudo velocity yang tinggi. Bantalan cacat 30% di lintasan luar dan cacat 30% di rolling element memiliki amplitudo velocity cenderung bervariasi. Bantalan yang cacat 30% di lintasan dalam, lintasan luar ataupun di rolling element menghasilkan spektrum vibrasi FFT velocity dan demodulation of acceleration dengan garis puncak frekuensi berimpitan dengan garis frekuensi impuls masing-masing BPFI, BPFO atau BSF.

Abstract

Substantial justice is important for consumers who are in fact Indonesian people when obtaining a product that must be carried out through a legal metrology process. Definition of legal metrology according to Law Number 2 of 1981 concerning Legal Metrology: Article 1 (a) Metrology is the science of measuring broadly. The author in this study focuses more on the enforcement of substantial justice against violations in the field of legal metrology, both criminal violations, violations that lead to compensation claims and administrative sanctions against business actors that harm consumers. The problem is why do violations often occur in the field of legal metrology in Indonesia? How is substantial justice reflected in consumer legal protection against legal metrology violations? And what is the responsibility of the business actor for violations in the field of legal metrology that corresponds to substantial justice? Research Methods in this Dissertation use juridical-normative research. The results of his research are substantial justice reflected in the legal protection of consumers against violations of legal metrology, in terms of legal justice and certainty can not be achieved in terms of imposing sanctions in violations of legal metrology. Often talking about justice is always concerned with philosophical issues, abstract justice and imaginative reality. Where justice should be contained in concrete sociological realities in society. Speaking of sanctions in violation of legal metrology, the author argues based on the juridical principle of the application of the Legal Metrology Law as part of the instrument of legal regulation in the economic field. As explained in the background section, the Legal Metrology Law is one type of law that is very influential in national welfare-based national development, and also mandates that the implementation of metrological activities in Indonesia is aimed at realizing legal certainty and justice.

Abstract

This research investigated the design of the overhead crane supports with capacity of 2 x 20 ton. The crane design was modeled using both solids and surfaces, and the analysis was performed with finite element method. The results from the analysis verified the stress level, deflection level from crane column and runway beam, and the critical load of buckling for crane column to prevent the structure failure. The stress level result was compared to the material yield strength to find out whether or not  the design is safe. It is concluded that the stresses arising from the rail beam and column are still within the permissible limits so that the design is safe to use.

Abstract

Equipment has been made to simulate a discrete system vibration of one degree of freedom. The aim is to obtain equipment for learning for students in the field of mechanical vibration. Vibration simulation includes free vibration and forced vibration of discrete system in one degree of freedom. The main parts of this equipment are rigid rods with mass of 2.6 kg, vibrators with mass of  3.385 kg, spring with stiffness of 3738 N/m and loading masses. A rigid rod of 0.775 m in length is supported by a hinge on one end and hung on a spring in another position. The vibrator is rotated by an electric motor and the rotation can be adjusted from 90-1600 rpm. The vibrator is mounted on a rigid object at the position of 0.285 m, 0.385 m, 0.485 m and 0.585 m from the hinge. A spring with stiffness of 3738 N/m is placed on a rigid object at the position of the hinge. The loading masses of 1.08 kg and 2.08 kg are mounted on a rigid beam in a row at the position of 0.685 m from the hinge. For the free vibration experiments, the natural frequency for each position of vibrator is searched experimentally and theoretically. It is found that the results of the two are similar. For the forced vibration experiments, graphs of vibrational responses are constructed in the frequency domain, then the resonance frequencies are compared to the natural frequency results from the free vibration experiment. Apparently the results are very close. This shows that the research equipment made is reliable and can be used as a student learning tool.

Abstract

The PPCW railroad flatcars is railroad flatcars used to transport container loads with a maximum load capacity of up to 42 tons. In its use, these railroad flatcars are used to transport the cement bags in the pallet arrangement resulting in crack in the bottom frame of the PPCW railroad flatcars structure. The purpose of this analysis is to find out stress value and deformation value that occurred in the railroad flatcars due to the cement bags loading. The analysis process begins with modeling according to the original size of the railroad flatcars which is then followed by providing the support, gravity, loads, and material specifications used. Based on the result of analysis that has been obtained from the load of cement bags of 546,000 N and ratchet lashing of 900,000 N on the frame of PPCW railroad flatcars, we obtained the maximum von Mises stress value of 231.91 MPa arising on the bottom frame of the PPCW railroad flatcars structure as the site of cracking and the maximum total deformation value of 19.526 mm arising in the center of the railroad flatcars. The PPCW railroad flatcars made from SS400 with yield strength value of 245 MPa. Therefore, it was found that the value of stress arising in the railroad flatcars is still in the safe area and is allowed.

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Parakansalak Kecamatan Parakansalak Kabupaten Sukabumi Propinsi Jawa Barat tahun 2018. Sebelum penelitian dimulai koordinasi dengan peternak inti pengelola usaha untuk memproduksi bibit ayam lokal unggul. Kemudian dilanjutkan untuk pengembangan kelembagaan, sebagai penyedia bibit ayam lokal unggul untuk fasilitasi peternak inti sebagai mitra. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui model indsutri ekonomi dan kelembagaan pada usaha ayam lokal terintegrasi di peternak. Hasil penelitian pada bulan pertama produksi telur ayam KUB lebih rendah dibandingkan ayam SenSi sebesar 9,85% vs 13,12%. Pada bulan ke 2 sebesar  25,52% vs 27,98%, dan bulan ke 3 dan seterusnya produksi telur  ayam KUB meningkat lebih tinggi dibanding ayam SenSi sebesar 34.65% vs 31.50%. Rata-rata produksi telur ayam KUB 4 bulan sebesar 32,84% lebih tinggi, dibanding ayam SenSi sebesar 27,27%. Poduksi ayam KUB secara kuadratik y= -0.1931x2+6.2801x-5.3958; R²=0.84401. Produksi ayam Sensi secara kuadratik Y= -0.1794x2+4.7075x+3.5922; R²=0.71539. Keuntungan peternak inti sebesar Rp.80.439.725 atau sebesaar Rp.6.703.310,-/bulan, tingkat keuntungan atas biaya produksi sebesar 26.74%/periode atau sebesar 2.23%/bulan dan tingkat efisiensi R/C 1.38. Dukungan kelembagaan pada modal industri peternakan ayam lokal unggul Balitbangtan melalui inti-plasma, untuk  produksi telur tetas, DOC, pullet dan bibit. Usaha ayam lokal unggul Balitbangtan secara berkelanjutan dapat peningkatan kesehajteraan peternak.
