Abstract

Quality of Nursing Work Life (QNWL) is a nurse's perception that can increase organizational commitment and effectiveness among nurses and increase nurse productivity and performance, which consists of 4 dimensions, namely Work Life-Home Life Dimensions, Work Design Dimensions, Work Context Dimensions, and Work Dimensions. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between age and work experience with QNWL. This research is a type of quantitative research. The design used correlational analytics with a cross-sectional approach. The population of all nurses in the inpatient room at Prof. Dr. H. Aloei Saboe hospital is 134 nurses with a total sample is 57 respondents who were taken using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The analysis was used in bivariate analysis using the Spearman rank test. The results of the study obtained a significant value for the age factor (? = 0.001) and the work experience factor (? = 0.007). In conclusion, there is a relationship between age and work experience with QNWL. Suggestions for the hospital to improve the nurse retention program so as to increase QNWL.

Abstract

Pembangunan kesehatan harus dipandang sebagai suatu investasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia, salah satunya adalah mahasiswa. Pembentukan forum mahasiswa peduli kesehatan dan tanggap bencana merupakan salah satu solusi dalam mewujudkan peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat dan wilayah yang rentan akan terjadinya bencana. Tujuan pelaksanaan KKN Tematik yakni terbentuknya forum mahasiswa peduli kesehatan dan tanggap bencana di Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Program KKN Tematik dilaksanakan selama 60 hari, bersama Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan dan 24 orang mahasiswa, diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi alternatif yang ditawarkan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan terhadap masyarakat, khususnya dalam bidang kesehatan dan menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang terampil dan siap dalam menghadapi bencana. Hasil yang ditargetkan dalam program ini yakni meningkatnya produktifitas pengabdian dosen kepada masyarakat serta mendorong terwujudnya peningkatan derajat kesehatan masyarakat, masyarakat dan civitas akdemik memiliki kesiapiagaan yang baik dalam menghadapi bencana, , sehingga dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat dan meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi bencana.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease caused by the pancreas not being able to produce insulin effectively which is characterized by hyperglycemia. Blood sugar control can be done by adhering to the DM diet. Factors that influence adherence to diet include health locus of control (HLOC). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between HLOC and adherence to a diet in DM sufferers in the working area of the Telaga Health Center. This type of research is quantitative using the Cross Sectional approach method. The study population consisted of 194 DM sufferers in the working area of the Telaga Health Center. The number of samples was 66. The sampling technique was Simple Random Sampling. The results showed that 27 respondents (41%) had high HLOC, 39 respondents (59%) had moderate HLOC, and found no low HLOC (0%). Respondents with adherence to a good diet were 15 respondents (22.7%), adherence to an adequate diet were 48 respondents (72.7%) and adherence to a bad diet were 3 respondents (4.6%). Using the Somers'D test, a p-value = (0.000) is obtained so that there is a relationship between HLOC and adherence to diet in DM sufferers in the working area of the Telaga Health Center

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has become a top priority for crisis health especially around the world. The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way the public works, learns, meets every day needs until interacts. Restrictions and Lockdown policy can increase level worry someone. Anxiety is feeling nervous or restless. People tend experience it moment be in a situation certain, wrong the only one when a mentor academic must guide and supervision college student his by directly on the ground practice. This present study aimed to explore the preceptor's anxiety in performing guidance and supervision of nursing students in practices during the covid-19 pandemic. This quantitative research relied on a descriptive method with a descriptive survey approach towards 30 respondents that is whole preceptor or lecturer mentor academic college nursing students. The sample was selected by employing the purposive sampling technique. The data collection instrument used in this study was a questionnaire through Google forms. The results of the study based on age characteristics were 27 respondents (91%) of which aged 26-35 years, 2 respondents (6%) aged 46-55 years, and 1 respondents (3%) aged 56-65 years. Based on gender characteristics dominated by women as many as 21 respondents (70%). The results of the study on the level of anxiety were 28 respondents (88%) were in the low level of anxiety, while 2 respondents (12%) were in the category of moderate anxiety level. It is hoped that the preceptor must be able to control feelings of worry and anxiety so that it does not become an anxiety disorder. Besides that preceptors must have activity guidelines that are in accordance with health protocols according to applicable regulations so that they can reduce anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Stres Kerja merupakan suatu keadaan emosional yang timbul karena adanya ketidaksesuaian beban kerja dengan kemampuan individu untuk mengatasi stres kerja yang dihadapinya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran beban kerja dan stress kerja perawat intensive care unit (ICU) di Provinsi Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survey deskriptif. Populasi dan sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 55 responden yang diambil menggunakan teknik Total sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja perawat Intensive care unit (ICU) di Provinsi Gorontalo dengan kategori berat sebesar 56,4%, dab Stres kerja perawat ICU di Provinsi Gorontalo dengan kategori berat adalah 40%. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat menjadi bahan masukan agar dapat mengurangi beban kerja perawat sehingga tidak mengalami stres kerja yang berat.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan penyakit tidak menular berupa meningkatnya tekanan darah. Prevalensi penderita hiperteni dari tahun ketahun terus meningkat dan Gorontalo termasuk daerah penderita hipertensi terbanyak. Peningkatan ini akan berdampak pada resiko komplikasi bahkan kematian. Dalam upaya pengurangan komplikasi ini perlu adanya peningkatan terhadap kepatuhan pengobatan. Namun seringkali hal in diabaikan. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya alternatif pemecahan masalah hipertensi salah satunya yakni pemberdayaan masyarakat. Selain itu, upaya lainnya yang dilakukan pemerintah adalah meningkatkan peran serta (pemberdayaan) masyakarat pada bidang kesehatan dan ekonomi. Pemberdayaan dalam bidang kesehatan menekankan pada potensi yang ada di lingkungan sekitar untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi. Salah satu bentuk pemberdayaan masyarakat yakni peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat dan pembentukan kader anti hipertensi. Target kegiatan ini adalah unutk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang hipertensi melaui penyuluhan dan mendorong masyarakat agar rutin dalam melakukan pengecekan tekanan darah melalui pembetukan kader. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini dengan melakukan Penyuluhan, pemeriksaan tekanan darah serta pembentukan kader kader anti hipertensi. Hasil : Dengan adanya Rumah Desa Sehat dan kesiapan kader anti hipertensi dapat memfasilitasi masyarakat khususnya penderita hipertensi untuk bisa mendapatkan informasi serta pelayanan terkait hipertensi sehingga hal ini menjadi upaya dalam penurunan hipertensi di Kota Gorontalo.

Abstract

Patients undergoing hemodialysis face many stressors, especially physical problems due to kidney failure. These problems often weaken the patient's adaptability. Adaptive and maladaptive coping mechanisms of patients undergoing hemodialysis can be influenced by various factors, namely age, length of time undergoing hemodialysis, self-efficacy and family support. The aim of the study was to describe the factors that influence coping mechanisms in hemodialysis patients at Prof. Dr. Aloei Saboe Hospital. The design in this study uses a descriptive research design. The population in this study were all hemodialysis patients at Prof. Dr. Aloei Saboe Hospital. The sample in the study amounted to 64 respondents with a total sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the coping mechanism of hemodialysis patients is mostly maladaptive as many as 33 respondents (51.6%) and the factors that influence coping mechanisms based on the length of time undergoing hemodialysis are mostly low as many as 33 respondents (51.6%), self-efficacy factor is also low as many as 33 respondents (51.6%) and the factor of family support is mostly good as many as 33 respondents (51.6%). Suggestions for nurses through the provision of nursing care can be used to monitor and improve patient education about the patient's coping mechanisms while undergoing hemodialysis.

Abstract

Knowledge that is used sustainably is an urgent need, especially considering the threat of natural disasters that can arise anytime and anywhere. Therefore, people need basic capital to save themselves from disasters, namely emergency response capabilities to disasters and sufficient resources. The aim of the research is to analyze the effect of training using the demonstration method on public knowledge about mitigating and evacuating disaster victims. The method used is observational analytical research. The population is the people of Lopo village, Batudaa Pantai District with a sampling technique, namely accidental sampling, namely 19 people. The total sample was 67 respondents. Data collection was carried out using instruments based on the Knowledge questionnaire with pretest and posttest methods after training and demonstrations. Data analysis was carried out using paired sample T-Test statistical analysis of respondents from the Lopo Village community. The results of the analysis of the influence of training using the demonstration method on public knowledge regarding mitigation and evacuation of disaster victims obtained a value of ρ = 0.000 (ρ = 0.05) so that there is an influence between the two variables. The conclusion is that there is an influence of training using the demonstration method on community knowledge regarding mitigation and evacuation of disaster victims in the Lopo Village community.

Abstract

The quality of service in hospitals can be improved if individuals, in this case nurses, have Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). OCB is a form of behavior that is a choice of individual initiative and is not related to the organization's formal reward system but in aggregate increases organizational effectiveness. Objective: This research aims to determine the relationship between the level of job satisfaction and the OCB of nurses in Dr. RSUD. M.M Dunda Limboto inpatient ward. Method: Quantitative research method, Analytical Survey research design with a Cross-Sectional approach. The population in this study was 215 nurses and the sample used was 121 inpatient nurses, with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. This research uses the Spearman Rank Test. Results: the research results obtained a correlation coefficient of r= 0.342 (p-value = 0.000 or < 0.005), meaning that there is a relationship between job satisfaction and the level of OCB of nurses in the inpatient room at Dr. M.M Dunda Limboto. Conclusions: It is expected that hospital institutions can pay attention to the factors that influence job satisfaction in nurses so that they have a positive impact on the level of Organizational Citizenship Behavior in nurses.
