Abstract

The paradigm of multiculturalism becomes an the idea that is contextual enough with contemporary society today. The fundamental principles of equality, fairness, openness, recognition of difference are the principle of human values that are needed in the crush of global culture. Therefore, as a cultural movement, multiculturalism is an integral part in various cultural systems in society, for the case in education is through multicultural education. Multicultural education can be implemented in Indonesia in the form of formal, informal and non formal education by integrating multicultural values in curriculum materials, through strategies, approaches and methods of learning, learning interaction as well as the early internalization of multicultural values to students. Thus education (Islam) in Indonesia will produce nation cadres that are more tolerant, inclusive and rahmatan lil alamin.

Abstract

Education by parents to their children in the family has a very important position, especially in modern times as present, where external influence is very heavy and diverse. Our children are much influenced by both positive and negative influences. Lastly, the worrying effect at this goge era, the influence of electronic, printed and communication media is very influential on the development of children, moreover those means are more sophisticated, faster and easier. Our children can learn, access and search for any information easily. Meanwhile parents do not have a free opportunity to educate, guide and direct them, then it is the time for parents to realize it, turn to the belief that education in the family is important, should be prioritized for our children’s optimal development purposes in terms of the formation of perfect beings.

Abstract

The delivery of certificate of educators through the processof “certification” for teachers and lecturers is the logical implicationsof the enactment of Law No. 20 of 2003 on National EducationSystem Law No. 14 of 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers. Teachersand lecturers who have been “certified” are ideally already qualifiedby default. It should be after the certification process teachers andlecturers have the awareness and willingness for the quality andenhance the quality and competence themselves. Teachers andlecturers as educators are recognized formally have been “worth”through that certification process, where the implication is oncertification benefits. Unfortunately once they get the benefits ofcertification of educators and have improved the level of welfare,the improvement of education quality is not necessarily be realized.Therefore it is necessary to find a wise solution, so that certificationis not merely administrative, but more touching the heart of educators,imprints and implications for the increasing competence of educators,so that educators in Indonesia become qualified and profesionaleducators.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji persepsi jilbab gaul di kalangan mahasiswi STAIN Pekalongan. Jilbab gaul dimaksudkan sebagai busana muslimah yang gaul, yang cenderung seksi sehingga di satu sisi menutup tubuh pemakainya, di sisi lain menampilkan keseksian. Kajian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma naturalistik. Sifat penelitian ini deskriptif analisis kritis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswi STAIN Pekalongan terhadap jilbab gaul sangat positif, syar?i secara kognitif namun secara afektif bervariasi. Faktor yang melatarbelakangi pemakaian jilbab gaul berupa faktor personal dan faktor situasional.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji persepsi jilbab gaul di kalangan mahasiswi STAIN Pekalongan.
