Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see and find out the implementation of the 2013 revised 2018 curriculum learning in high school chemistry learning. This study uses a library research method. Library research is an activity to gather information relevant to the topic or problem that is the object of research. The results show that in the 2013 revised 2018 curriculum planning program in improving the learning process, teachers must design lesson plans in accordance with the syllabus so that learning can run optimally. Learning evaluation is carried out to be able to detect the development of student learning achievement every day through identification of the competencies that have been achieved by students. The implementation of the 2013 revised 2018 curriculum learning is said to increase when in the 2013 curriculum learning process involves the linkage of Basic Competencies with the latest issues, conducive and comfortable learning, school involvement in providing motivation and the participation of parents of guardians in helping student discipline.

Abstract

Online learning requires students to be more independent in learning. For example, chemistry learning tends to contain abstract concepts (very theoretical), so it requires a more detailed description and explanation. To help solve this problem, we need a media that can make it easier for students to learn during online learning. The purpose of this study was to determine student perceptions or responses to learning using teaching videos. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative, which will produce a description of quantitative data related to student perceptions of the results of the Cronbach Alfa test. The instruments in this study were questionnaires, and learning outcomes test questions. The sample consisted of 102 students. Before being used, video-based learning media with the help of a pen tablet were validated by media and material experts, both in terms of construction and concepts contained in the learning media. The validation results obtained an average value of 0.91 which means it is very valid. Further analysis using reliability showed the Cronbach Alfa coefficients were 0.88, respectively; 0.92; 0.93 consecutively for aspects of knowledge, media and convenience. In order to be accepted by the media as learning media, it is necessary to look at student responses to aspects of knowledge (P) where the average value is 3.96 which is classified as good, media (M) 4.02 and convenience (K) 3.81 are also included in good category.

Abstract

Learning media can be used in determining the success of students in learning where previously the learning media was still not used, and the learning process that took place in the classroom was still done manually or still using large printed books so that in fact the learning media was still lacking in use, the researchers wrote a thesis. this is entitled the development of newsletter learning media on elemental chemistry at MAS Lamno. This study aims (1) to determine the feasibility of learning media bulletin on elemental chemistry, (2) to determine student responses to learning media, (3) to determine student learning outcomes. This type of research is development (Research and Development / R & D) using the ADDIE development model through several stages, namely (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. the feasibility of the media was validated by 2 lecturers of chemistry education study program, namely media experts, material and language experts, the results of the development validation obtained an average percentage of 79.4% and for student responses and learning outcomes the data were taken from previous research, where data on student responses to newsletter learning media with an average value of 4.15 with a percentage of 82.92% is very good, while for the value of student learning outcomes the percentage is 76.47% and the student average score is 85.36% which is included in the very good category, then It can be concluded that the newsletter learning media on elemental chemistry can be used.

Abstract

Online learning is learning that is held through internet networks. During online learning, various systems are used in the learning process, such as the google classroom media, zoom, meet, whatsapp group, and other media. This study aims to describe the effects of online learning at MAN 3 Banda Aceh City during the covid-19 pandemic. This study is a quantitative method to know student responses to online learning during the covid-19 pandemic and what obstacles students face. The subjects of this study were 20 grade 2 students of MAN 3 Banda Aceh consisting of 6 boys and 14 girls. Data collection techniques used by distributing questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students have difficulty learning through online learning because many of the students are constrained by ineffective explanations from the teacher in explaining abstract chemistry material, as a result students experience a decrease in learning outcomes and also students cannot be more active in discussions such as usually. In addition, students are also constrained by the network and internet quota. Even though sometimes the quota is sufficient, the network does not support it and vice versa the network supports but the internet quota is not sufficient because many people have economic difficulties during the covid-19 pandemic. Pembelajaran daring adalah pembelajaran yang diselenggarakan melalui jejaring internet. Selama pembelajaran daring berlangsung digunakan berbagai sistem dalam proses pembelajarannya seperti adanya media google classroom, zoom, meet, group whatsapp, dan media lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dari suatu efek yang ditimbulkan oleh pembelajaran daring di MAN 3 Kota Banda Aceh selama pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran daring (online) selama pandemi covid-19 dan kendala apa yang dihadapi siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa kelas 2 MAN 3 Kota Banda Aceh yang terdiri dari 6 laki-laki dan 14 perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dengan menyebarkan angket. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar melalui pembelajaran daring karena banyak dari siswa terkendala dengan penjelasan yang kurang efektif dari guru guna menjelaskan materi kimia yang bersifat abstrak, akibatnya siswa mengalami penurunan hasil belajar dan juga siswa tidak dapat lebih aktif untuk berdiskusi seperti biasanya. Selain itu siswa juga terkendala oleh jaringan dan kuota internet. Meskipun terkadang kuota mencukupi akan tetapi jaringan tidak mendukung begitu juga sebaliknya jaringan mendukung akan tetapi kuota internet tidak mencukupi karena banyak masyarakat kesulitan ekonomi selama pandemi covid-19.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the teaching and learning process to be conducted online as a substitute for classroom learning. This study aims to determine the effect of online learning on student interest in the Chemistry Education program at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, Indonesia. This research is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive method with a sample of 40 students. The data was collected through distributing questionnaires within three days to obtain information about the impact of distance learning during the covid-19 pandemic on student interest in the chemistry education program. The results of data analysis showed that 44.33% of students had a good interest in online learning. It means that students' interest in learning is not good for online learning.

Abstract

Good facilities, effective and efficient chemical laboratory management must be applied so that chemistry practicum activities can be carried out properly. Previous research has shown that the management of chemical laboratories in several high schools has not been carried out properly, so it is necessary to conduct this study at SMA Negeri 1 Tapaktuan, South Aceh. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of chemical laboratory management at SMA Negeri 1 Tapaktuan, South Aceh. This research was conducted qualitatively accompanied by descriptive analysis. Subjects in this study; principal, person in charge/head of chemical laboratory, laboratory staff and chemistry teacher. Collecting data by observation, interviews and documentation. Next, the research results are classified into 4 aspects of laboratory management which consist of planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring which are divided into 28 criteria. The results obtained are the management of the chemistry laboratory which is well implemented 75%, less good 10.72% and not good 14.28%. The conclusion of this study is that the chemical laboratory management at SMA Negeri 1 Tapaktuan South Aceh has not been effective because it has not reached 80% of all aspects of chemical laboratory management.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the self-perception of chemistry education students related to online learning in the UIN Ar-Raniry. This descriptive research involved chemistry education students of the 2019 batch. Their perception was obtained using an online questionnaire with 15 questions.
