Abstract

The tourism sector will become a national asset if it can be well-developed. One of the ways is by promoting tourist attractions, which is not only the responsibility of the government but also the community. The community plays a vital role in developing and maintaining the values of a tourist object. Hence, this research aims to examine the community's efforts in increasing tourist visits to the Padang Roco Temple Tourism Object in Dharmasraya Regency. The research approach used in this study was qualitative with a descriptive research type, and 12 informants were selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and document studies. The analysis technique used was the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Based on the research results, the government and the community have tried to develop the Padang Roco Temple Tourism Object. Some of the efforts include 1) efforts by the caretakers of the temple to develop the facilities and infrastructure, 2) efforts by the local community groups to promote the Padang Roco Temple Tourism Object, and 3) efforts by the community to help in the development of the temple by donating land to the government.

Abstract

This research examines about The Impact Of Labeling Poor On PKH Recipient Families In Jorong Tanjung Durian, Sangir Jujuan District South Solok Regency. This study aims to describe the impact of labeling poor in Jorong Tanjung Durian Nagari Padang Limau Sundai, South Solok Regency. The approach used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The unit of analysis in this study is PKH recipient family. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study can be concluded that the impact of labeling poor on families receiving PKH assistance in Jorong Tanjung Durian, Sangir Jujuan District, South Solok Regency is (1). PKH recipient families feel awkward in society. (2). PKH recipient families become a byword in society. (3). PKH recipient families are belittled in society. (4).  Have the opportunity for their children to receive scholarships at school. (5). Opportunity to receive assistance again in the future.

Abstract

This research is motivated by fishing workers whose lives depend directly on marine products. Being a fisherman is very dependent on seasonal natural conditions caused by erratic weather. This famine occurs for six months of the year, from October to March, which makes fishermen unable to carry out normal fishing activities. This condition makes it difficult for fishermen to meet their daily needs. Departing from the research objective, namely the survival strategy of traditional fishing workers in the famine season. The approach used in this research is qualitative with descriptive research type, with 12 informants taken by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and document studies. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, there are several survival strategies for fishermen workers in the famine season, namely: 1). take advantage of assistance from the government, 2) involve family members where fishermen are assisted by their wives, children and wife's sisters, 3) borrow and use savings, 4) look for side jobs, namely being housemaids, odd jobs, bringing gambir sap to the people's rice fields and become farm laborers.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the obstacles experienced by oil palm farmers in buying and selling palm oil transactions, making palm oil tokens have the opportunity to maintain relationships between them by making loans known as the stock planting system. The purpose of this study was to describe the stock planting system between oil palm farmers and toke palm oil. The theory used is the patron-client theory proposed by James C. Scott. This research approach is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The types of data in this research are primary and secondary data. There were 10 informants in this study. Data collection methods used are observation, in-depth interviews and document studies. The result of this research is the buying and selling transactions carried out are transactions between toke and farmers. In meeting the necessities of life, farmers make loans to toke called stock planting. In this stock planting system, oil palm farmers are required to sell their crops to the token, they must be loyal to selling to the token, they are not allowed to sell to other tokens. If this happens, then the oil palm farmers are obliged to pay or return the money that has been taken, the oil palm farmers are allowed to pay in installments or not and the oil palm farmers are also allowed to determine how many installments they want to be given.

Abstract

Household life cannot be separated from economic activities, one of which is in conducting transactions. Transactions that are often carried out by housewives are goods credit transactions. This is done because with credit, housewives can get goods without having to have enough money first. So that the desire to meet the needs can be achieved in a short time. The purpose of this study is to analyze the behavior of housewives who use mindring credit in Jorong Lubuak Muaro, Nagari Sungai Abu. The theory used in this study is the theory of social action proposed by Max Weber. The research was conducted in Joronng Lubuak Muaro, Nagari Sungai Abu, Hiliran Gumanti District, Solok Regency. This research used qualitative research methods with descriptive research type. Withdrawal of informants was carried out by purposive sampling technique, with the informants being housewives who made mandring goods loans. The data collection method in this study begins with observation, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis was carried out in several stages, namely, data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there were several behaviors of housewives in using credit items including, 1) buying goods because they were needed, 2) buying goods because of consumptiveness, 3) ease of obtaining goods, and 4) buying goods because of the influence of the social environment, as well as their behavior. Abstract

Agricultural land is now starting to be converted for development because agricultural land can be purchased at affordable prices and then the land is conditioned to be used as development land. The shift in the function of agricultural land will certainly have an impact on people's lives in the future, both from a social and economic perspective. The purpose of the study was to describe the impact of housing development on the socio-economic conditions of farmers in Nagari Salido, District IV Jurai, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The theory used in this research is the Structural Functional theory proposed by Robert K Merton. The research was conducted in Nagari Salido, District IV Jurai, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This research uses qualitative research method with descriptive research type. Withdrawal of informants is done by purposive sampling technique. The method of data collection in this study began with observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies. Data analysis techniques in research can be carried out in several stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there were several impacts of housing development on the social and economic conditions of the community, including: 1) Farmers lost their jobs. 2) Lack of interaction between immigrant communities and local communities, and 3) Opening new job opportunities for the surrounding community
