Abstract

Oyster mushrooms are one of the commodities that people are interested in to meet the needs of healthy and nutritious foods, where the demand of this fungus increases every year. In the city of Medan, oyster mushroom cultivation has begun to develop in the home industry, small to medium scale industries, but in fact it has not yet fulfilled the market demand. The low production of oyster mushrooms caused by the low knowledge of the farmer in preparation of the seed, either F-0, F-1, F-2 or F-3 and ultimately fail in baglog preparation as the final media stage for oyster mushroom production. In the seedlings and backlogs manufacturer should follow the technical culture standard preparation of seedling. Socialization has been carried out by Tim ABDIMAS with the demonstration and introducing culture and sterilization technique using saving energy autoclave, efficient in use for the mushroom farmers and expected after the program the farmers can be confident and become independent in spawn or seedling producing by themselves. The use of autoclave is very effective and significant in reducing the number of contaminated seedlings, as seen in the graph which is also presented in this paper. Knowledge of making mushroom flour with a simple method with low cost in contemporary and hygienic packaging ready to be marketed as a basic ingredient in food processed products or as an ingredient in traditional medicine is also provided.

Abstract

Jamur dikenal sebagai bahan makanan yang bergizi tinggi, terutama karena kandungan proteinnya yang tinggi. Diketahui bahwa protein nabati yang terkandung dalam jamur tiram sebanding dengan protein yang terkandung dalam sayuran. Hal ini menjadi salah satu penyebab meningkatnya permintaan jamur tiram dari tahun ke tahun di Indonesia khususnya di Sumatera Utara. Hal ini sejalan dengan semakin banyaknya masyarakat yang sadar akan pentingnya makanan kesehatan. Jamur tiram akan menjadi peluang usaha yang menggiurkan dan menjanjikan namun proses penanganan pasca panen menjadi penting dan perlu diperhatikan sebagai faktor penentu dalam proses budidaya jamur. Penanganan pascapanen yang tidak sesuai dengan prosedur yang seharusnya dapat menyebabkan rendahnya kualitas jamur tiram dan akibatnya menurunkan harga jual jamur tiram. Metode survei, sosialisasi, dan demonstrasi praktik langsung telah dilakukan oleh tim ABDIMAS. Komunitas ini bertujuan untuk memberikan peningkatan keterampilan petani dalam menangani proses pasca panen yang meliputi pemilahan, grading, pengemasan, penyimpanan, transportasi. Untuk memperpanjang masa simpan jamur tiram petani diberikan pengetahuan tentang cara pengawetan dengan proses pengeringan, pengawetan segar, pengalengan, teknik penggaraman dan pasta jamur.

Abstract

Jamur merang (Volvariella volvaceae) telah banyak dikembangkan di Indonesia dan memiliki nilai gizi yang cukup tinggi, bahkan diyakini berkhasiat obat untuk berbagai jenis penyakit sehingga memiliki nilai jual yang cukup tinggi. Dapat dijadikan salah satu komoditas sayuran yang prospektif dan sangat potensial untuk dikomersialkan baik oleh petani maupun pengusaha agribisnis Indonesia. Petani di Desa Tandukan Raga belum bisa mencapai target tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi kunjungan ke mitra jamur dan penyebaran kuesioner mengenai pemasaran dan pengemasan jamur kepada petani, pedagang sayur/buah dan masyarakat Desa Tandukan Raga untuk mengkaji statistik pengetahuan masyarakat dan situasi jamur saat ini. pemasaran. Selain itu juga telah dilakukan sosialisasi mengenai pemasaran jamur, di mana para pekerja di kumbung merupakan pegawai aktif dan pegawai harian lepas di lingkungan kantor lingkungan setempat sehingga hasil penjualan dari hasil panen. Hal ini untuk memberikan pelatihan bagaimana memasarkan produk tanaman ke dalam platform media sosial di era saat ini di bidang pemasaran hasil panen sekaligus meningkatkan taraf hidup petani jamur di masa depan

Abstract

Kabupaten Deli Serdang merupakan kabupaten yang sudah lama terbentuk pada tahun 1946. Kabupaten Deli Serdang memiliki potensi pengembangan pertanian yang sangat besar seperti sub sektor tanaman pangan dan sub sektor tanaman hortikultura, serta daerah wisata lainnya.Kecamatan yang memiliki potensi pengembangan pengolahan salak lanjutan adalah Sinembah Tanjung Muda Hulu. Desa ini memiliki potensi usaha pertanian dan wisata alam. Masyarakat desa kurang lebih 30% warga yang tinggal di desa ini memiliki lahan untuk di tanami bibit salak yang mereka ambil dari Yogyakarta. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menjelaskan tahapan atau langkah-langkah dalam melaksanakan solusi yang ditawarkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang memuat: Permasalahan dalam aspek produksi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menjelaskan tahapan atau langkah-langkah dalam melaksanakan solusi yang ditawarkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang memuat: Permasalahan dalam aspek produksi dan Permasalahan dalam aspek manajemen dengan diskusi dan ceramah. Abstract

Abstract: Cattle farming in Indonesia, especially in North Sumatra, is still a secondary livelihood for breeders. Treatment and processing of beef are generally done in the traditional way. The success of the beef cattle business is very dependent on the fulfillment of nutrients that affect livestock health. Therefore, quality and sustainable feed is an important factor in livestock cultivation technology. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fermented feed on cattle weight at a small cattle farm in Pondok Rawa Village, Deli Serdang Regency, Sumatera Utara. Fermented feed is formulated by mixing corn ash and palm oil cake (5:1), coarse salt, molasses, and EM4 into chlorine-free water. The feed was stored in PP plastic and incubated for 7 days. Five cows chosen randomly were given fermented feed every day for 1 month while the other 5 cows were only given forage. All test cattle were about 4 years old and weighed weekly and the data were statistically analyzed using ANOVA in JASP 0.16.4. The results showed that the average weight gain of one cattle fed with fermented feed (1.54 kg/week) was higher than forage treatment (0.69 kg/week). This result was validated and substantiated by ANOVA test result showing that value of p < 0.05.

Abstract

Straw Mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) as well asmushrooms edible otherhave been developed in Indonesia, including North Sumatra as a substitute for animal protein. Mushrooms or also known as button mushrooms are vegetables that are recognized to have high nutritional value, and are even believed to have medicinal properties for various types of diseases so that they have a fairly high selling value. Some studies report that in 100 grams of mushroom, only 0.17% fat is contained and even better, this fat is not bad fat. Seeing the high demand because of its nutritional value, and its rich content, its taste that is liked by many people, mushroom cultivation has a very promising market value. Basically until now the demand for mushroom continues to increase, but farmers have not been able to meet market needs. good quality start to be limited. Some farmers have started to switch to alternative planting media which is currently mostly practiced, namely oil palm pulp or empty palm oil bunches (TKKS). EFB is a waste that is very easy and is found mostly around palm oil processing factories, whose use has been limited so far as heating materials for boilers and particle wood, many empty bunches have not been utilized. This service aims to provide training in the form of mushroom cultivation using TKKS, as well as provide training in the form of post-harvest handling which is important given the lack of understanding of farmers in production and marketing activities.
