Abstract

This research studies the impact of Indonesian Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award to abnormal return and trading value activity. The impact of award publication could be seen from the differences between abnormal return and trading value activity with the Indonesian CSR award announcement. This research samples are 9 companies which accept the appreciation of Indonesian CSR award period 2005-2008 that listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The research data that used is secondary data that consist of daily closing price of share and daily trading volume with an estimation period during 30 days and event period 11 days by using market model and hypothesis research using Wilcoxon Sign Test. The result of this research proves that there are significant differences between abnormal return and trading value activity around the announcement date of Indonesian CSR award. Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji apakah kepemilikan manajerial, kepemilikan institusional, dan standar perusahaan memiliki pengaruh pada jumlah Transaksi Pihak Terkait (RPT) baik dalam kasus rekening hutang maupun piutang. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel 112 perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di BEI. RPT untuk akun yang terutang di hitung dengan membagi total hutang rekening pihak yang terkait dengan total kewajiban, sedangkan RPT untuk piutang dihitung dengan membagi total piutang pihak yang terkait dengan total aset. Variabel kepemilikan manajerial dihitung dari porsi saham kepemilikan manajemen dan kepemilikan institusional, sementara standar perusahaan ditunjukkan dengan total log aset. Data-data yang diperoleh diuji menggunakan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa kepemilikan manajerial, kepemilikan institusional, dan standar perusahaan memiliki pengaruh signifikan dengan akun hutang RPT. Sedang secara parsial hanya standar perusahaan yang memiliki pengaruh negatif signifikan dengan akun hutang RPT. Disisi lain, secara bersama hasil pengujian variabel kepemilikan manajerial, kepemilikan institusional, dan standar perusahaan tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan dengan akun piutang RPT.

Abstract

Cassava (Manihot esculenta) is an important crop to food security under climate change due to its various tolerance mechanism under stress conditions. However, the sustainable growth of cassava in the field depends on many factors especially temperature. The objective of the research was to investigate the growth performances and proline contents of irradiated Ubi Kuning at dosage of 10 Gy, cultured in Murashige Skoog (MS) hormone-free solid medium for 4 weeks at three different temperature treatments i.e 25oC, 28oC and 30oC. Each treatment consisted of 3 clone explants with 5 replicates. Results show that growth performances of irradiated plantlets were better compared to that of non-irradiated plantlets in terms of plant height and number of leaves at all temperature tested. The best growth performances were obtained from irradiated plantlets grown under 30oC. The proline content of irradiated Ubi Kuning was high when they were grown under 25 oC and 30oC, implying that these plantlets had the possibility to tolerant to lower and higher-temperature condition. This study is initially useful to find out the growth ability of irradiated Ubi Kuning in response to lower and higher temperature.

Abstract

Sandalwood (Santalum album), which belongs to Santalaceae family, is a commercially important tree in Indonesia due to its many application. However,its population has significantly depleted since the planting materials using conventional methods are difficult to be provided. This study was conducted to mass propagate sandalwood using in vitro methods through friable embryogenic callus (FEC). The somatic embryos were formed using leaves cultured in MS +0.5 mg/l +1 mg/l indole acetic acid (IAA), and MS +1 mg/l IAA + 0.2 mg/l kinetin as well as 0.5 MS+1 mg/l Gibberellic acid (GA3). Primary somatic embryos (PSE) and secondary somatic embryos (SSE) then formed friable embryogenic callus when they were repetitively transferred to MS +1.5 mg/l BAP + 1.2 mg/l kinetin every 3 weeks. The maturation and regeneration of FEC was best done in the MS +1.5 mg/l BAP + 1.2 mg/l kinetin for 4-8 weeks. The acclimatization of sandalwood plantlets can be best conducted in the medium containing soil, sand and compos in ratio of 1:1:1 with the companion plant Murraya paniculata, which gave the best percentage of survival rate and the lowest percentage of falling leaves.

Abstract

Gebang is an Indonesian local genotype which has been selected as superior genotype for low amylose  cassava. Prior to induction of new mutants of this genotype, series of research have been conducted to improve regeneration and acclimatization as well as shoot cuttings production of irradiated in vitro shoots. Four dosage treatments of gamma ray irradiation i.e. those of at 0; 0.2; 1.0; 1.5; 2.0 krad were applied to 32 in vitro shoots multiplied from apical shoots of plants in the field. The highest multiplication rate and acclimatized shoots were obtained from shoots irradiated with 0.2 krad multiplied on various level of BAP added on MS medium and resulted that MS supplemented with 1 mg/L BAP was the best medium. The phenotypic variation was observed in shoots irradiated with 1.0; 1.5 and 2.0 krad while the ones irradiated with 0.2 krad performed normal appearances. Subsequent production of propagated young stem cuttings called “ratooning system” decreased after the second cycle of propagation especially in the survival rate of the ones irradiated with 0.2 krad. The findings lead to the opportunity to produce cassava propagules derived from irradiated in vitro culture at a higher amount using Gebang genotype as a model.Keywords: cassava Gebang, irradiated shoot, young stem cutting/ratooning , acclimatization, in vitro.

Abstract

Cassava is an important carbohydrate source that provides food security and alternative renewable energy development. This plant is naturally drought tolerant, but there is a wide variation within cassava genotypes in their ability to maintain high yield and starch production under drought stress. It has been reported that cassava clones with leaf retention or stay green trait can produce more total fresh biomass and high root dry matter compared to drought susceptible cultivars. The genetic, biochemical and molecular bases of stay green trait need to be understood to develop drought resistant cassava cultivars since water stress limits yield and starch production. Differential Display (DD)RT-PCR is a powerful technique for analyzing differences in gene expression. The method is based on the detection of the differentially expressed cDNAs from two or more samples. The main objective of this study was to identify differentially expressed cDNA in cassava under drought stress by employing a cDNA-RAPD approach. In this study, we used cassava genotype Ubi Kuning which was considered the most responsive to water insufficiency (45 days without watering). Leaf samples were collected from water stressed and well-watered plants at day 45. Among 11 random primers, OPB03 and OPH17 have identified differentially expressed cDNA in Ubi Kuning. Further characterization of these PCR products of expressed cDNA under drought stress may open possibility the development of cassava with improved drought resistance through genetic engineering and/or marker assisted selection (MAS).

Abstract

ABSTRACTObjectives of the research were to determine the best source of explant origin, the optimum culture media and effects of various concentrations and types of growth regulators on the induction and multiplication as well as the growth of in vitro shoot of cassava Ubi Kuning genotype. The experiment was arranged in a complete randomized design with three factors, i.e the source of explant origin (from field and greenhouse), the growth media containing of 6-Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) and Gibberellin (GA3) at the concentration level of 1-2 ppm, and multiplication medium supplemented with BAP, Naphtalenic acetic acid (NAA) and Kinetin at concentration level of 0.1 mg/l and 0.5 mg/l. The results showed that the cuttings explants from the field showed more shoots and the average shoot height of axenic culture in the fourth week ranging from 0.2-1.2 cm compared to those from the field (0.5- 1.3 cm). Axenic culture showed no significant growth in growth media (MS) supplemented with BAP and GA3 (1-2 ppm). In the multiplication medium, the highest number of roots were obtained when plantlets were grown in the treatment medium MS + BAP 0.5 mg / l followed by MS + NAA 0.1 mg / l. The largest number of nodes was produced on plantlets grown in MS + BAP media 0.1 mg / l and MS + NAA 0.5 mg / l (p <0.05). While the longest root growth was obtained in plantlets cultured on MS + Kinetin 0.1 mg / l medium. Plantlets showed high survival (100%) after they were acclimatizedfor 4 weeks in a greenhouse using a medium containing a mixture of compost, coco peat, and ground burn husk with a ratio of 1: 1: 1. Keywords: genotype, ubi kayu, ubi kuning  in vitro

Abstract

Industri perbankan di Indonesia semakin berkembang dan berpengaruh baik pada kemajuan negara. Hal-hal penting yang dapat meningkatkan pendapatan bank, diantaranya simpanan bank, pengkreditan, dan risiko kredit yang perlu diperhitungkan. Faktor lingkungan eksternal, seperti lingkungan politik juga berpengaruh terhadap kemajuan bank. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh dewan terkoneksi politik terhadap tingkat kredit, tingkat simpanan dan risiko kredit di perbankan Indonesia. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 44 perbankan di BEI pada tahun 2017-2019. Pemilihan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dan diperoleh 41 perbankan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis regresi data panel dan diolah menggunakan eviews 10. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dewan komisaris terkoneksi politik tidak berpengaruh terhadap tingkat simpanan, tingkat kredit maupun tingkat risiko kredit perbankan. Sementara itu, dewan direksi terkoneksi politik ditemukan berpengaruh positif terhadap tingkat kredit dan berpengaruh negatif terhadap risiko kredit namun ditemukan tidak berpengaruh terhadap tingkat simpanan.
