Abstract

Abstract - This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of Nusa Cendana University, which aimed to find out the effect from difference volume substitution of water media on the survival rate of sangkuriang catfish larvae (Clarias gariepinus). The method used complete randomized design of with three treatments of water volume substitution that was A (25%), B (50%), C (75%) and control with three replications. The data were analyzed with variance (ANOVA) and continued with least significance different (BNT) test. The results showed that the water volume substitution of 25% had a significant effect on the survival rate of the larvae with 63.333% of survival rate. Abstract

Abstract - The study to know the anesthesia effect of frangipani flower extract on tilapia jureniles (Oreochromis niloticus) during transportation has been done at the Laboratory ofthe Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Nusa Cendana university. the animals were managet in containers and arranged based on complete randomized design (t3,t3) with treatment A (7,584 mg / L frangipani flower extract), B (9,304 mg / L frangipani flower extract), Control (without frangipani flower extract). The parameters observed were fainting time, long recovered consciousness, survival rate and water quality (temperature, pH, DO). The results showed that the effect of frangipani flower extract were significant as observed on period of fainting, long recovered conscious and survival rate. The concentration of frangipani flower extract had no significant effect on survival rate. The most effective concentration of frangipani flower extract for anesthetic of tilapia jureniles transport was 7.5 84 mg / L. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan kromium-ragi (Cr organik) pada pakan dan dosis kromium yang optimum terhadap pertumbuhan ikan kerapu cantang (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus lanceolatus). Kromium mempunyai peran utama dalam mengaktifkan reseptor insulin yang dibutuhkan sebagai faktor untuk insulin dalam memindahkan glukosa dari sirkulasi ke dalam jaringan. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimen menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, yang terdiri dari perlakuan kontrol (tanpa penambahan kromium) perlakuan A (Pakan megami + Cr-ragi 1,5 mg/k), perlakuan B (Pakan megami + Cr-ragi 2,5 mg/kg), perlakuan C (Pakan megami + Cr-ragi 3,5 mg/kg). Hasil menunjukan bahwa penambahan kromium-ragi pada pakan berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan bobot harian, pertumbuhan panjang harian, dan konversi pemberian pakan, sedangkan ANOVA kelulushidupan ikan kerapu cantang menunjukan tidak ada pengaruh nyata antara perlakuan. Pertumbuhan bobot tertinggi selama 56 hari terdapat pada perlakuan B (43 g) disusul oleh perlakuan A (40 g), dan yang terendah terdapat pada perlakuan kontrol (26 g). Pertumbuhan panjang tertinggi selama 56 hari terdapat pada perlakuan A (13,5 cm) disusul oleh perlakuan B (13,1 cm), dan terendah terdapat pada perlakuan kontrol (11 cm). Kata Kunci : Epinephelus fuscogutattus lanceolatus, kromium, pertumbuhan.
