Abstract

The prevalence of anemia in older people based on data from NHANES III by 11,0% of men and 10,2% of women suffered from anemia. The study used observational study with cross sectional design. Subjects for the study were 99 older people at Paguyuban “Wira Wredha” Wirogunan, Yogyakarta who complied for inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collected include protein intake, iron intake, vitamin C intake, iron absorption inhibitors intake, body weight, and hemoglobin concentration. Data related to intake of protein, iron, vitamin C, and iron absorption inhibitors obtained by interview using SQFFQ. Body weight measured using weight scales. Hemoglobin concentration measured using hemocue method. The statistical test used to analyze the relationship is a Chi Square test or Fisher’s exact test. The prevalence of anemia in older people was 18,2%. There was significant relationship between intake of protein (p=0,005) and iron (p=0,007) with anemia status in older people. There was no significant relationship between intake of vitamin C (p=0,636), iron absorption inhibitors (tannin, phytate, oxalate acid) with anemia status in older people (p=0,184; p=0,129; p=0,393) with anemia status in older people. There were significant relationship between intake of protein and iron with anemia status in older people at Paguyuban “Wira Wredha” Wirogunan, Yogyakarta. There were no significant relationship between intake of vitamin C and iron absorption inhibitors with anemia status in older people at Paguyuban “Wira Wredha” Wirogunan, Yogyakarta. Abstract

Background: A long-standing association exists between elevated triglyceride levels and coronary heart disease (CHD). High consumption of fat and carbohydrate influences enhancement of triglycerides level. Sport can reduce cholesterol and triglycerides level. Objective: This research aims to analyze relationship between carbohydrates and fat intakes with triglycerides level on female aerobic gymnasts. Method: This is an observational research using cross sectional research design which was held in Miracle Gymnasium on February17- 18th 2017. 30 subjects were selected as subject because fulfill the requirement (older than 20 years and have willingness to be a subjects). Research variable areintakes of carbohydrate, fat, and triglyceride levels. Result: Result shows 53.3% subjects have high level of carbohydrate and fat intakes followed by 20% subjects with high level of triglycerides. Subjects with high level of carbohydrate, fat intakes and high triglyceride level are 28%. Subjects withsufficient carbohydrate, fat intakes and high triglyceride level are 12.5%.Fisher’s exact test was done to prove hypothesis with results there is no significant relationship between carbohydrate and fat intake with triglyceride level. Conclusions: Subjects with high carbohydrate and fat intake is 53.3% and 20% subjects have high triglyceride level. Relationship between carbohydrate and fat intake with triglyceride level on female aerobic gymnasts is not significant (p>0.05). Keywords: Intake, Carbohydrate, Fat, Aerobic Gymnasts, Triglyceride

Abstract

Background: the fulfillment of energy needs and liquids athletes of nutritional intake and the fluid that adekuat is the most frequently forgotten by athletes .Needs of water per different people , are influenced by various factors like sex , age , the activity , as well as the environment .Fluid loss as many as 3 to 5% of weight resulting in interference function cardiovascular diseases that would have a direct impact on sports performance Objective: this research aims to understand the characteristics of athletes based on fluid intake on athletes in SMA Negeri 1 Sewon. Method : the kind of research is observational with the design research cross sectional.Aspects subjects covering liquid intake, age, sex, BMI and kind of sport in athletes in any kind a sport that followed.Using a technique technique sampling random stratification.Any species of sports taken as the sample.The sample of the a total of 49 respondents. Research conducted was taken from the results of interviews respondents by the SQ FFQ. Results : liquid intake in an athlete based on kinds of sports and characteristic of (the age, sex, BMI), known of 73,5 % athletes with liquid intake less. Liquid intake the average athletes was 2963,4 ml per day, with intake at least 1412,1 ml and intake maximum 4867,9 ml and standard deviations 884,15. Conclusions : Based on characteristic (age, sex, BMI) and kinds of sports, athletes with liquid intake less (73,5 %). Keywords : characteristics athletes, kind of sports, liquid intake

Abstract

Undernourished among hospitalized patients known have related to the increasing of patient length of stay, the changes in clinical condition , increasing of over utilization of the hospital , and an increasing the risk of a complication. In the world there are around 60 million children with undernourished and 13 million children with worse undernourished7. The prevalence of undernourished in infants and children reached 31.8 %. The data from the various hospital in Indonesia, prevalence of undernourished is still high. Undernourished is the main health problems in the developing countries and is a contribute factors to more than 50 % of 10 up to 11 million kids that die every year, where the causes of death, has actually can be prevented6. Have been known that communication & education method can raise the nutrition status for chlidren. Research aims to determine the influence of a character picture animation with nutrition message on food intake among hospitalized children in Yogyakarta.This study involved children who hospitalized This research using quasi experiments with pretest and post test with control groups design. Involved 60 respondents who divided into 30 treatment respondents and 30 respondents as a control group.Statistical analysisusing dependent t-test with CI 95%. There are significant different food intake before and after using the character picture animation with p 0,0001 (CI:95 %). This research revealed that using a character picture animation with a message of nutrition can increased food intake on hospitalized children.

Abstract

Effect of Infused Water Dates to Change Potassium Levels in The Students of Yogyakarta Ministry of Health with Prehypertension Background. Hypertension not only occurs in the age of adulthood or elderly but can occur from adolescent age. Riskesdas results in 2018, the prevalence of hypertension at age ≥ 18 years in Indonesia showed an increase from the year 2013 which is from 25.8% to 34.1%. According to research, serum potassium levels in patients with hypertension are lower than those with normal blood pressure. Dates can be used as alternative hypertension treatment, one example is made infused water. The introduction of infused water dates is one way to increase the intake of potassium as well as potassium levels in the blood so it is hoped that the increased intake can lower blood pressure. Objectives. To determine the influence of infused water dates on the change of potassium levels in the students of Yogyakarta Kemenkes Poltekkes. Method. This research is quasi experiment by using one group before and after. The research took place in February 2020. The research population is the level student of the Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta, with a sample of 21 people. Data analysis using Wilcoxon test. Results. Average levels of potassium before intervention is 4,024 ± 0,4847 and average levels of potassium after intervention is 4,276 ± 0,2322. The results showed the influence of infused water dates on potassium levels (P = 0,002).  Conclusion: There is the influence of infused water dates on the change of potassium levels in students.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Hiperkolesterol merupakan salah satu penyebab timbulnya penyakit degeneratif yang berhubungan dengan jantung, pembuluh darah, serta penyakit yang berkaiatan dengan sumbatan pada pembuluh darah. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk membantu menurunkan kadar trigliserida dan kolesterol total antara lain dengan mengonsumsi bahan alami yakni bawang putih tunggal (lanang), cuka apel, jahe merah, lemon dan madu sehingga aman dikonsumsi serta tidak menimbulkan efek samping berbahaya bagi tubuh jika dikonsumsi jangka panjang. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh minuman bawang putih tunggal (lanang), cuka apel, jahe merah, madu, dan lemon terhadap kadar trigliserida dan kolesterol total pada tikus putih hiperkolesterol. Metode: Penelitian ini bersifat true-eksperimental dengan design Pre test-Post test Controlled yang dilaksanakan di Laboratorium PAU Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta. Sampel penelitian adalah 30 ekor tikus putih jantan strain Sprague Dawley dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yang terdiri dari kelompok kontrol negatif, kontrol positif, kelompok perlakuan formula dosis I (0,75ml/200gramBB/hari), formula dosis II (1,5ml/200gramBB/hari), formula dosis III (3ml/200gramBB/hari). Kadar trigliserida dan kolesterol total diukur sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Analisis data dengan uji Paired T-test dan one-way ANOVA dilanjutkan dengan dan uji lanjut Post Hoc LSD. Hasil: Pada uji Paired T-Test didapatkan hasil jika kadar trigliserida dan kolesterol total pretest dan posttest pada tiap kelompok terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Hasil uji one-way ANOVA menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kadar trigliserida dan kolesterol total tikus putih yang signifikan dengan nilai p=0.000 (p<0.05) pada ketiga kelompok perlakuan. Kesimpulan: Ada pengaruh pemberian minuman bawang putih tunggal (lanang), cuka apel, jahe merah, madu, dan lemon dengan dosis 0,75ml/200gramBB/hari, 1,5ml/200gramBB/hari dan 3ml/200gramBB/hari dalam membantu menurunkan kadar trigliserida dan kolesterol total pada tikus putih hiperkolesterol.
