Abstract

Background: A long-standing association exists between elevated triglyceride levels and coronary heart disease (CHD). High consumption of fat and carbohydrate influences enhancement of triglycerides level. Sport can reduce cholesterol and triglycerides level. Objective: This research aims to analyze relationship between carbohydrates and fat intakes with triglycerides level on female aerobic gymnasts. Method: This is an observational research using cross sectional research design which was held in Miracle Gymnasium on February17- 18th 2017. 30 subjects were selected as subject because fulfill the requirement (older than 20 years and have willingness to be a subjects). Research variable areintakes of carbohydrate, fat, and triglyceride levels. Result: Result shows 53.3% subjects have high level of carbohydrate and fat intakes followed by 20% subjects with high level of triglycerides. Subjects with high level of carbohydrate, fat intakes and high triglyceride level are 28%. Subjects withsufficient carbohydrate, fat intakes and high triglyceride level are 12.5%.Fisher’s exact test was done to prove hypothesis with results there is no significant relationship between carbohydrate and fat intake with triglyceride level. Conclusions: Subjects with high carbohydrate and fat intake is 53.3% and 20% subjects have high triglyceride level. Relationship between carbohydrate and fat intake with triglyceride level on female aerobic gymnasts is not significant (p>0.05). Keywords: Intake, Carbohydrate, Fat, Aerobic Gymnasts, Triglyceride

Abstract

Background : Epidemiological transition stems from a change where a decline in the prevalence of communicable diseases and non- communicable diseases (NCDs) have increased. Report in 2011 there was one billion people worldwide suffer from hypertension and in Indonesia the figure reached 31.7%. Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the epidemiological of hypertension Gamping I Community Health Center and determine the proportion of hypertension according to age, sex, occupation, education, socio-economic, geographic, demographic and access to health services. Method : The research design was a retrospective cohort. This research was conducted in Gamping I Community Health Center in November 2016. Population and sample in this study were all patients with hypertension in Gamping I Community Health Center in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The independent variables in this study were age, gender, education, employment, social, cultural, demographic population density, geographic and ease of access to health services. While the dependent variable is the proportion of hypertension. Data analysis was performed using Chi Square to know know the proportions of age, gender, education, employment, social, economic, population density, geography, access to health services with hypertension in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Result : Based on the analysis proves the young elderly, women, housewife, secondary education, non-poor families, low-lying area, population density and access to health care were likely to have hypertension with percentages respectively 33%, 66.7%, 44.9%, 70.1%, 76.7% , 71.9%, 37.9% and 82.9%. Abstract

Background : The number of DM victims in the world increased year by year. According to Health Elementary Research in 2013 the highest number was in DIY, it was 2,6%. Then, according to Godean I Local Government Clinic data, DM was the second rank of Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) after hypertension. The increasing of DM victims number was connected by the overweight case that was influenced by unhealthy diet and lack ofphysic activities so it caused accumulation of fat tissues. In the next time it can cause complication for the victims. There are three pillars of DM management namely, diet, psychological intervention, and exercises. The first that should be done is exercises. One of them is physic exercises namely DM gymnastic. Its functions are to control blood sugar, lose weight and body fat so cardiovascular disease risk factor can be prevented and fixed. In this research the DM gymnastic was done three times in a week for six weeks in duration time of 30-60 minutes. Objective : Purpose of the research to know the influence of DM gymnastic to the change of fat body percentage of DM type II victims in Godean I Local Government Clinic. Method : Research method this research used quasi-experiment method, the research plan used pre-post design. The population was all of DM type II victims in Godean I Local Government Clinic with the subject number were 24 people. The data analysis used statistic test Paired Sample t Test with the credibility 95%. Result : Result of the research the statistic test Paired Sample t Ttest showed that there were not differences before and after DM gymnastic treatment for six weeks. According to the average of fat body percentage after DM gymnastic treatment was higher than before (32,52% > 32,86%). Conclusion : There was no influence of DM gymnastic to the body fat percentage of DM type II victims in GodeanI Local Government Clinic p = 0,59 or p = >0,05. Abstract

Background :Indonesia is number fourth highest Tuberculosis burden country after China, India and South Africa. Now a days, tuberculosis in children is growing rapidly. At least 500,000 children in the world suffer from TB every year. TB is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tubercolosis. Generally, TB attacks lungs, but can spread to other organs in the body. Many factors that can influence TB disease are nutritional status, vaccination and environmental housing condition. Objective : This research aims to examine the relationship between nutritional status, Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccination and environmental housing condition with TB in toddlers in Mlati Sleman. Methods :The type of this study was observational research with case control study match by sex and age design. It was done in June 2015 and located in Mlati. The subjects of research were 18 toddlers with TB in Mlati I and II clinics. The control sample was collected using purposive random sampling with ratio 1:1 for toddlers who did not suffer from TB. The independent variables were BCG vaccination, nutritional status and environmental housing condition and the dependent variable was TB in toddlers. Data were collected by interviews, measurement and observation of the environmental housing condition of the respondents. The data were analyzed using univariate and bivariat statistical tests (Chi-Square test and OR). Result : immunization coverage BCG reaches 100%. Conclusion :There is a relationship of the incidence of TB with the nutritional status of toddlers in Mlati (p < 0.05). The Condition of the home environment include flooring, lighting, windows, toilets, garbage and water are not related to the incidence of TB in Mlati (p > 0.05). Abstract

Background: Today, there are many sought a safe natural antioxidant source, mainly derived from plants. Some fruits and vegetables shown to have high antioxidant activity. Carrot have a lot of antioxidant. During this carrot has not been used optimally. Jam is a semi-solid food made from fruit and sugar. Jam usually made of the crushed fruits. The addition of carrots in jam is expected to add the content of the antioxidant activity and preferred by the consumers so that could become one of the new alternative in an effort to diversify sources of antioxidant for food product. Objective: This study aims to determine the phisycal character, organoleptic character, and the antioxidant activity of the pineapple jam with mix variations of the carrot. Method: The kind of this study is experimental with simple random design. Results: The test data result of the phisycal character, organoleptic character, and the antioxidant activity analyzed by using the descriptive method. The more mix variations of the carrots so the color of the jam became more orange, the taste became langu like the typical of carrot, the smell became langu also like the typical of carrot, and the texture became smoother. The preffered color jam is the mix variations of carrots color 35%. The preffered smell of the jam is the mix variations of carrots 25%. The preffered taste of the jam is mix variations of carrots 35%. The preffered texture of the jam is mix variations of carrots 25%. The more mixture of carrots, the antioxidant activity of pineapple jam became higher. Conclusion: There is a difference in phisycal character, organoleptic character, and the antioxidant activity in pineapple jam with mix variations of carrots. Abstract

Latar belakang: Remaja merupakan salah satu kelompok rentan gizi.  Untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan remaja, perlu dilakukan upaya edukasi, salah satunya melalui kampanye aksi bergizi. Tujuan: Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja tentang anemia dan gizi seimbang serta meningkatkan cakupan konsumsi tablet Fe. Metode: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di SMPN Gamping, Sleman pada bulan Juli 2023. Jumlah partisipan adalah semua siswa baru sebanyak 192 orang. Aksi bergizi dilakukan melalui kampanye dengan memberikan edukasi tentang gizi seimbang dan anemia, minum tablet Fe, penandatanganan deklarasi aksi bergizi dan komitmen untuk hidup sehat. Hasil: Sebagian besar partisipan adalah perempuan (53,1%), umur 13 tahun (57,3%). Berkaitan dengan kebiasaan hidup sehat, sebagian besar kadang-kadang sarapan (40,6%) dan pergi ke sekolah dengan moda transportasi pasif berupa kendaraan bermotor (motor/mobil).  Setelah mengikuti edukasi pengetahuan remaja tentang gizi seimbang dan anemia mengalami peningkatan masing masing 21% dan 19% dengan kategori nilai baik (>76). Kesimpulan: Kampanye aksi bergizi efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja tentang anemia dan gizi seimbang, sehingga kampanye aksi bergizi merupakan salah satu alternatif upaya meningkatkan derajat kesehatan remaja. Kata kunci:  aksi bergizi, anemia, hidup sehat, kampanye, remaja ________________________________________________________________________________ Abstract Background: Nutritionally, adolescents are one of the most vulnerable populations.  To enhance adolescent health, it is necessary to engage in educational efforts, one of which is the implementation of nutritious action campaigns. Objective: This activity aims to increase adolescent knowledge about anemia and balanced nutrition and increase the coverage of Fe tablet consumption. Method: his community service activity will be carried out at SMPN Gamping, Sleman, in July 2023. The number of participants was all new students—as many as 192 people. Nutritious action is carried out through campaigns by providing education on balanced nutrition and anemia, taking Fe tablets, and signing a declaration of nutritious action and commitment to healthy living. Result: Most of the participants were women (53.1%) and 13 years old (57.3%). With regard to healthy living habits, most people sometimes eat breakfast (40.6%) and go to school with passive transportation modes in the form of motor vehicles (motorbikes or cars). After participating in education, adolescents' knowledge about balanced nutrition and anemia increased by 21% and 19%, respectively, with good value categories (>76). Conclusion: Nutritious action campaigns are effective in increasing adolescent knowledge about anemia and balanced nutrition, so nutritious action campaigns are one alternative effort to improve adolescent health.
