Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine factors that influence consumer’s decisions to choose a brand of mobile phone and to determine the dominant factor influencing consumer’s decision in choosing brand of mobile phone. The method used is factor analysis. Factor analysis is one part of the analysis of several variables that are used to reduce the data, which is a process to summarize a number of independent variables associated with the factors named mapped or grouped into a new variable. The results showed that there are seven factors that influence consumers to choose the brand of mobile phone: the quality factor, brand, features, product durability, shape or model, price, and warranty. While among the seven factors, the quality factor is a dominant factors that affect consumers to choose brand of mobile phone.

Abstract

A queue will occur if the average number of arrivals exceeds the capacity of service facilities. Fast food restaurants are one of the places that usually have long queues at lunchtime and dinner time. KFC in Bali, located in the village of Sanur, is a fast food restaurant that is experiencing long queues. This is because this restaurant is located in a tourism area and the only KFC outlet on the Ngurah Rai Sanur bypass line and does not yet have a drive-thru service. The current condition at KFC Sanur is that there is more than one service facility, disciplined first come first service (FCFS) queues according to the multi channel single phase queuing model. After being analyzed with data taken before the pandemic period on November 18, 2019 to December 1, 2019 for 14 days during weekdays and weekends, it was found that the performance of the KFC Sanur queue system would have a smaller utility level if there were 3 active server. The total cost per customer if there are 2 active server is IDR 78,692.38 and if there are 3 server is IDR 75,788.45. Based on the results of this analysis, it can be concluded that it will be more optimal if there are 3 active server.

Abstract

In linear programming the assignment problem can be solved by the Hungarian method. This method produces an optimal solution for the placement of employees on their assignments. The purpose of this research is to determine the sensitivity analysis of the optimal results from the assignment that has been obtained by the Hungarian Method. Sensitivity analysis is used to determine the extent to which changes can occur without changing the optimal decisions that have been obtained. The results of this research obtain interval working time that can be tolerated without changing the optimal decision that has been obtained. So, no matter how much working time of the Employee changes, as long as the change is still within the interval, it does not interfere with the optimal solution that has been obtained previously.

Abstract

The company which provides the pension program needs the actuarial valuation to estimate the fund amount required by the company to pay for pension funding. Actuarial method that used in this research are projected unit credit and invidual level premium method. Through this research be obtained the result of valuation pension benefits with career average salary assumption is lower than the other salary assumptions. On the other hand, the result of normal cost final value valuation using individual level premium method is smaller than projected unit credit method that suits for the participants of the pension funding program.

Abstract

Stroke is a disorder of brain nerve function caused by blockage of blood circulation to the brain. In preparing the diet for stroke, it is possible to deviate from the recommended nutritional value and total energy. This problem could be overcome by compiling a stroke diet menu using the Goal programming method. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the results of the portion of food obtained using the Goal programming method can meet the recommended energy and nutritional content targets, as well as knowing the percentage of total energy content produced per day from the preparation of the diet menu to the recommended total energy content. The calculations in this study using the help of LINGO software with the results that the diet menu by Goal programming method has met the recommended nutrients and energy from the standard stroke diet at Klungkung Hospital, and the percentage of energy fulfilled from the stroke IIB diet for three days shows a 100% result.

Abstract

Computational geometry is the mathematical science of computation by using the algorithm analysis to solve the problems of geometry. The problems of computational include polygon triangulations, convex hulls, Voronoi diagrams, and motion planning. Convex hull is the set of points that form a convex polygon that covers the entire set of points. The algorithms for determining the convex hull, among others, Graham Scan, Jarvis March, and Divide and Conquer. In the two-dimensional case, Graham Scan algorithm is highly efficient in the use of time complexity. This article discusses the quest convex hull of the data bank debtors, some of the data used to look at the classification accuracy of the convex hull formed. The coordinates of all the data found by using principal component analysis.After the data are analyzed, we get the accuracy of classification by 74%.

Abstract

The problem of transportation is a problem of distributing goods from several sources to several destinations with the aim of minimizing shipping costs. Distribution activities in a company sometimes experience problems in transportation problems so that a model is needed to determine the optimal distribution using the transportation model. This study aims to determine the route of distribution of beras putri sejati 25 kg in UD Sinar Jaya Abadi so that optimal expenses can be obtained using improved exponential approach and zero suffix method. Based on the calculation results, both methods produce the same three distribution path. The first distribution channel is from Agen Monang Maning to Toko Mekar Sari and Subur Jaya. The second distribution line from the Agen Gatsu Barat to UD Mas Ayana and Toko Dharma. The third line from agen Gianyar to UD Sinar Wangi, Toko Sari Artha, UD Amertha, and Toko Ayu Mega with optimal distribution costs of Rp 1.575.815.00. The difference or efficiency of the total costs incurred in the distribution before and after optimization by UD Sinar Jaya Abadi Rp 499,190.00 or 24%.

Abstract

The high number of critical illness cases and the rising medical cost affect the number of insurance claimed. It can be a problem for the insurance company in estimating future claim trend to decide the risk premium cost, so that we need a method to solve the problem which is called Empirical Bayes Credibility Theory (EBCT). Based on that information, the goal of this research is estimating the risk premium cost for critical illness cases using EBCT method. In this research, a large simulation of the expected claim data of critical illness policyholders is used, which are grouped by age and gender. In processing data by applying the EBCT method, the credibility factor is determined first, then the size of the risk premium can be estimated, with the calculation results obtained by a different estimate of the risk premium for each age group based on gender.

Abstract

One of the companies in production and marketing of dodol in Singaraja area is UD. Dodol Made Merta. This company produces four variants of dodol namely dodol merah, dodol kayu sugih, dodol ketan hitam, and dodol kacang. All the four dodol variants have a different demand levels.This aim of this research is to determine the optimal prediction of the amount of production that must be produced every month so that profit can be maximized by minimizing the cost of production. This research was done using two methods ARIMA. The best model for dodol merah is ARIMA (1,0,1), dodol kayu sugihis ARIMA(1,0,0), dodol ketan hitam is ARIMA (1,0,0) and dodol kacang is ARIMA(0.01).

Abstract

Companies which engaged in production activities such as Ramadhan Bakery would want optimal profit in their every production. The aim of this study was to find optimal profit and optimal combination of bread production (original chocolate bread, extra chocolate bread, rounding chocolate bread and mattress chocolate bread) that was produced by Ramadhan Bakery by applying Branch and Bound Algorithm method. Branch and Bound Algorithm is one method to solve Integer Programming’s problems other than Cutting Plane method. Compared with Cutting Plane method, Branch and Bound Algorithm method is more effective in determining the optimal value. As the result of this study showed that to get optimal profit, Ramadhan Bakery should produce 360 pcs of original chocolate bread, 300 pcs of extra chocolate bread, 306 pcs of rounding chocolate bread and 129 pcs of mattress chocolate bread with optimal profit amounts Rp. 1.195.624,00.. The profit will increase amounts 25,2 % than before.
