Abstract

The design of the layout aims to optimize aspects of productivity, processing time, worker fatigue, cost & distance of movement of material on the production floor. Optimizations regarding material displacement distance typically focus on minimizing the distance between the production units within the manufacturing company. This study conducted a case study on UD Utama Tires which is one of the companies manufacturing retread tire trucks located in Semarang. The company has crossmovement related problems between production units and departmental layout that is not in line with the production process flow, while the availability of production space is only 30x15 meters and there are 12 departments. The observation result shows the distance of material transfer in the heat-processing unit is 111.96 m and the cold-processing unit is 100.63. Optimization needs to be done to minimize the material distance between the units of the process. Blocplan algorithm was chosen as the method of arranging the company layout and obtained the result of 20 alternative proposed new layout to then selected one of the proposals with the highest layout score. The result of this research is the 15th proposed alternative with the highest layout-score value is 0.82, so it can be concluded that the optimum model can minimize the distance of the material production movement by 63.8m in the heat-processing unit with the effectiveness rate 43.02% and 69.1m in the process unit cold with effectiveness rate 31,33%

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara penghasil tempe yakni makanan olahan kedelai ini juga banyak disukai oleh seluruh kalangan masyarakat. Kebanyakan produk ini diolah oleh industri bersakala kecil dan menengah, salah satunya yaitu UKM Tempe Hartini. UKM yang beroperasi di Gunungpati, Semarang ini memiliki hambatan atau permasalahan dalam pengendalian persediaan bahan baku kedelai yang kurang optimal antara lain terkait penentuan banyaknya bahan baku dan frekuensi pemesanan bahan baku, agar dapat meminimalkan total biaya persediaan bahan baku kedelai. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk rekomendasi pengambilan keputusan terkait metode yang paling optimal dalam menentukan jumlah bahan baku, frekuensi pemesanan bahan baku, serta total biaya persediaan. Metode untuk pengendalian perhitungan persediaan menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Period Order Quantity (POQ) dan metode Just-in-Time (JIT). Selanjutnya, dalam penentuan metode yang paling optimal menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Total biaya persediaan dari perhitungan metode EOQ sebesar Rp 1.229.379 dan dapat menghemat biaya sebesar 34%. Sedangkan total biaya persediaan metode POQ sebesar Rp 640.693 dan dapat menghemat biaya sebesar 66%. Untuk total biaya dengan metode JIT sebesar Rp 784.927 dan dapat melakukan penghematan biaya sebesar 58%. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan metode SAW, metode yang terpilih dari total biaya yang paling optimal yaitu dengan metode POQ.

Abstract

Social media is a new life influenced by the development of information technology. This development raises problems in comments and criticism on social media and the rapid growth of hoax information that affects many sectors of life. This article is the development of two journals: The Development and Implementation of Wise Netizens (E-Commentary) In Indonesia & Social Media and Changing Communication Patterns. The method used is the Johari window, and this method is developed and combined with the concept of comments and criticism on social media. The result of this article is a formula N=K.C2, a unique formula made for netizens and the seven stages of wise netizens (The maturity level of netizens). Furthermore, this formula and framework will provide netizens with a solution to assess them. To what extent a netizen has become wise in making comments and criticisms on social media? Furthermore, these stages will be used to find out, analyze and assess the extent to which comments and critics made by netizens have reached a level that has a standard of communication quality, share their knowledge, and have a two-way discussion.

Abstract

Advances in information technology are one of the fundamental things in technological development that cannot be stopped, this will continue to grow to be large and can provide a large level of change in the pattern of people's lives. E-commerce can be said as the development of information technology. And one company that does this is JD.ID. JD. ID is an e-commerce company that has the positioning of "original goods" offered to consumers. This is JD.ID's biggest strength and has an e-commerce strategy that really attracts consumers' attention. The data collection method used in this study is a survey, where the problem discussed is how the phase of change and innovation can be implemented at JD.ID. The method used to analyze is McKinsey 7S. The results that will be obtained from this journal are phases of change that may and/or can be recommended to JD.ID, as a recommendation and/or input so that JD.ID can develop into an even bigger e-commerce company and JD.ID can become the broader e-commerce market leader. Changes must always be made to be able to adapt to the needs required by society and on the one hand is flexibility in dealing with this.

Abstract

The ultrasonic range finder sensors is a general-purpose sensor to measure the distance contactless. This sensor is categorized as a low-cost sensor that is widely used in various applications. This sensor has a significant deviation that leads to significant errors in the measurement result. The error produced by this sensor tends to increase proportionally to the measured distance. The implementation of a particular algorithm is required to reduce the error value. The model-based calibration is a solution to increase accuracy. The model-based solutions are no longer feasible if the states of the model have changed. The length of the usage of the sensor leads to sensor fatigue. Sensor fatigue is one of the causes of model state changes. If the drift is still within the tolerance limit, the sensor performance can still be restored using the calibration method. The model-based calibration calibrates the sensor by using the model. The update of the model must be made whenever the changing of the model state occurred. Since the manual model-making process is not an easy task, time, and cost required, then the Newton polynomial-based (Automatic Model Generation (AMG) has been implemented in this research. The AMG algorithm generates the new sensor model automatically based on the most updated states. This automatic model generation is implemented in the calibration process of the ultrasonic sensor. The implementation of a polynomial-based AMG algorithm for sensor calibration has been succeeded in improving the calibrated sensor’s accuracy by 96.4% and reducing the MSE level from 25.6 to 0.914

Abstract

Carbon monoxide is a type of pollutant that is harmful to human health and the environment. On the other hand, carbon monoxide also has benefits for industrial matter. Since the benefits and disadvantages of carbon monoxide, the measurement of carbon monoxide concentration is required. The measurement of carbon monoxide level is not easy moreover with low-cost sensors. The usage of 4 sensors namely TGS2611, TGS2612, TGS2610 and TGS2602 has been used along with feature extractor. The polynomial classifier is required to interpret the feature vector into the amount of substance concentration. The common classifier methods suffer fatal limitations. The polynomial classifiers method offers lower complexity in solution and lower computational effort. Since the involvement of a huge number of data points in the modelling process leads to high degree in the polynomial model. The occurrence of Runge's phenomenon is highly possible in this condition. This phenomenon affects the accuracy level of the generated model. The degree reduction algorithm is required to prevent the occurrence of Runge’s phenomenon. The combination of MAF (Mean Average Filter) and derivative approach as degree reductor algorithm has succeeded in reducing the polynomial model degree. The greater the number degree in the model means the greater the computational load. The model degree reductor algorithm has been succeeded to reduce computational load by 96.6%.

Abstract

Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini berupa Pembangunan Web untuk promosi dan penjualan OnLine Pengrajin Kerupuk Rambak Kulit Kerbau Di Penanggulan Pegandon Kendal. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman sekaligus ketrampilan para para pengrajin kerupuk rambak kulit kerbau untuk bisa memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dalam menunjang usahanya khususnya dalam promosi dan pelayanan penjualan secara online. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah dengan diskusi dan tutorial langsung, dilanjutkan dengan konsultasi yang berkaitan dengan pemanfaatan media internet untuk pelaksanaan penjualan online.

Abstract

Kelurahan Randu Garut Kecamatan Tugu Semarang merupakan wilayah industri yang cukup besar, dengan jumlah penduduk 2.312 jiwa, juga banyak warga boro maupun kost karena mereka adalah karyawan dari beberapa perusahaan yang ada dikawasan industri setempat. Dan kondisi ini membutuhkan sistem untuk mengelola data penduduk. Dengan solusi pembangunan Sipenduk untuk mengelola dan menyajikan informasi tentang kondisi penduduk dengan mudah, cepat dan akurat. Metode pelaksanaan PKM dengan identifikassi masalah, solusi, simulasi, pembuatan dan implementasi sistem, training, konseling dan evaluasi. Dengan luaran aplikasi sipenduk
