Abstract

This study is a development research, which aims at developing learning tools using Schoology to enhance learning motivation of students on chemical equilibrium subject which is valid, practical and effective to be applied. The development model used in this study referred to Hannafin & Peck’s development model which consisted  of need assessment, design, development and implementation. The learning tools using Schoology which had been developed; then, it was validated by two experts. After the validation, the tryout of the learning tools using Schoology was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Polewali Mandar in grade XI MIPA 4 with the total of 30 students. The result of the study reveals that the learning tools using Schoology development which had been validated shows the mean score of 3.40 which is in valid criteria. The learning tools using Schoology is stated as practical and effective because the practical test which related to: (1) the implementation of learning tools using Schoology is in M = 1.85 in the category of (1.5 ≤ M ≤ 2.0) meaning that the aspect and criteria observed in the implementation of learning tools using Schoology is in entirely implemented category, (2) teachers gave a very positive response on the learning tools using Schoology by 100%, and (3) the students gave a very positive response on the learning tools using Schoology by 85.49%. The learning tools has met effective criteria with the following result: (1) the enhancement of learning motivation of students is from 72.89% to 84.28%, (2) the learning activity of students with the mean score 91.33 is in very active category, and (3) the learning result of students has met effective criteria (≥80%) with the mean percentage of 85.60% which overall is stated as it has met the minimal completeness criteria of the subject.

Abstract

This study is development research, which aims at developing chemistry learning tools based on discovery learning with a contextual approach to the buffer solution which is valid, practical and effective. The development model employed in this study referred to 4D development model, which consisted of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The learning tools developed are RPP, LKPD, Student teaching materials, Media, and THB. The results of the study reveal that the learning tools based on discovery learning developed which had been validated indicates that the mean score is 3.58 which is in very valid criteria. The learning tools based on discovery learning is stated as practical and effective, because the results of the practically test reveal (1) the implementation of learning tools based on discovery learning is in the average of M = 1.74 in the category of (1.5 ≤ M ≤ 2.0) meaning that the aspects and criteria observed on the implementation of learning tools based on discovery learning is in entirely implemented category, (2) the teacher gave a very positive response on the learning tools based on discovery learning with the percentage of 91.61%, and (3) the students gave a very positive response on the learning tools based on discovery learning with the percentage of 87.36%. The learning tools is also met the criteria of effective with the following results that the learning outcomes has met effective criteria where the average score of 78.10 is obtained with the classical completeness 85.19. Therefore, the results of the study shows that the product of learning tools developed is categorized as valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This study is research and development, which aims at developing diagnostic test instrument on atomic structure material. The research subjects were the students of grade X MIPA 3 at SMAN 22 Makassar with 34 respondents  consisted of 15 male students and 19 female students. The procedure of instrument development adopted ADDIE development model which covered several stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the study reveal that the validity of instrument is 1 or V= 100%, meaning that assessment from boths have strong relevancy and the result of SPSS version 23.0 also indicates that the instrument is in valid category. The result on SPSS also obtain Cronbach’s Alfa 0.872 (reliable category); whereas, the objectivity is determined based on the agrrement of both expect which reveal that the result is in objective category. The remedial can be conducted using drill method for calculation question the leaning method uses the media in a form of a video for theoretical questions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not there is an influence of Quipper School e-learning media on a problem-based learning model to increase motivation and learning outcomes of students in grade X MIPA 1 at MAN Sidenreng Rappangin Chemical Bonding subject. This research is a quasi-experimental research, quantitative with experimental research methods. The design used in this study was a randomized pretest-posttest design. The data obtained were analyzed by employing descriptive and inferential statistical analysis by using SPSS version 15. From the data analysis, it is discovered that the average value of motivation and learning outcomes of the experimental class is greater than that of the control class. In addition, from testing the T test hypothesis, a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05 is obtained for motivation and 0.000 < 0.05 for learning outcomes, which means that motivation and group learning outcomes using the Quipper School e-learning media on the PBM model have an influence compared to the group without using the Quipper School e-learning media on the PBM model.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini diharapkan dapat mengembangkan dan menciptakan Perangkat Pembelajaran Kimia Lingkungan, sehingga mahasiswa mempunyai sikap berwawasan lingkungan. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dihasilkan diharapkan dapat membantu dosen dalam menciptakan pembelajaran kimia lingkungan yang inovatif dan menyenangkan yang dapat meningkatkan kesadaran secara umum dan juga meningkatkan mahasiswa untuk dapat menjadi teladan dalam memelihara lingkungan.Dan Penggunaan perangkat pembelajaran kimia lingkungan ini dapat mendorong terciptanya proses pembelajaran yang efektif, menyenangkan dan berkesan sehingga dapat meningkatkan sikap mahasiswa menjadi ramah lingkungan.Kata kunci: Perangkat pembelajaran, Berwawasan lingkungan, Pendekatan kontekstualABSTRACTThis research is expected to develop and create the Environmental Chemistry Learning Tool, so that students have environmentally friendly attitudes. Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kuis di awal pertemuan pada model pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 2 Parepare. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 2 Parepare yang terdiri dari delapan belas kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak. Kelas yang terpilih sebagai sampel penelitian yaitu kelas X otomotif sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X Las sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah masing-masing 32 orang dan 33 orang. Kelas eksperimen diajar dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri disertai pemberian kuis sedangkan kelas kontrol diajar dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri tanpa pemberian kuis. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan memberikan tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan ganda dengan jumlah 30 butir soal pada akhir pembelajaran. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik inferensial. Statistik inferensial menunjukkan data terdistribusi normal dan homogen. Pengujian hipotesis yang dilakukan dengan uji t menghasilkan thitung > ttabel = 2,03 > 1,67, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa pemberian kuis pada model pembelajaran inkuiri berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 2 Parepare pada materi ikatan kimia.Kata Kunci: Pemberian Kuis, Inkuiri, Ikatan KimiaABSTRACTThis research is quasi-experimental whose purpose is to know the effects of quiz giving at beginning of the learning in inquiry model learning result of students class X of SMKN 2 Parepare. Research design used in this research is post test only group design. The population of this research is all of students class X of SMKN 2 Parepare which are consist of 18 classes. Sample is randomly taking from the population. The class that is choosen research sample is students of Otomotive as experimental class and those of welding field as control class. Each these class consist 32 and 33 students. The experimental class is taught by inquiry model with quiz giving, whereas the control class is taught by inquiry model without quiz giving. Data is collected by giving study result test in the multiple choices form that is consist of 30 questions in the end of the class. Collected data are analyzed using inferencial statistics. This statistics test shows that data is normal and homogenous. The hypothesis test with t-test results tcalculate > ttable = 2,03 > 1,67 so it can be concluded that quiz giving in the inquiry model give a positive effect for the learning result of students class X of SMKN 2 Parepare in chemical bonding subject matter.Keywords: Quiz, Inquiry, Chemical Bonding

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi dan mengidentifikasi senyawa metabolitsekunder yang terdapat dalam ekstrak metanol daun ketepeng cina (Cassia alata Linn). Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui bebrapa tahap yaitu preparasi sampel, maserasi dengan metanol, partisi dengan n-heksan, evaporasi ekstrak metanol, fraksinasi, pemurnian, dan identifikasi. Senyawa yang diperoleh berbentuk Kristal berwarna kuning, dan memberikan hasil positif alkaloid pada pereaksi Meyer dan Wagner yang ditandai dengan perubahan warna dari kuning menjadi orange dan endapan putih. Identifikasi senyawa menggunakan spektrofotometer IR mengindikasikan adanya gugus N–H (3421,72 cm-1), C–H (2954,95; 2924,09; 2852,72 cm-1), C=O (1707,00; 1627,92 cm-1), C-O (1278,81 cm-1), dan C–N (1203,58 cm-1).Kata kunci: Isolasi, Cassia alata Linn, metabolit sekunder, alkaloidABSTRACTThis research aimed to isolate and identify the secondary metabolites compound from methanol extract of seven golden candlestik (Cassia alata Linn). This research was carried out in several steps, i.e preparation of sample, maceration with methanol, partition with n-hexane, evaporation of methanol extract, fractination, purification, and identification. The result obtained was yellow crystal, and gave positive alcaloids to the Meyer and Wagner test was marked with colour change from yellow to be orange and white precipitate . Identification of compound by using IR spectrofotometer indicated group N–H (3421,72 cm-1), C–H (2954,95; 2924,09; 2852,72 cm-1), C=O (1707,00; 1627,92 cm-1), C-O (1278,81 cm-1), and C–N (1203,58 cm-1).Keywords: Isolation, Cassia alata Linn, secondary metabolites, alkaloid

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya kandungan formalin pada ikan asin Katamba (Lethrinus lentjan) yang beredar di kota Makassar. Sampel ikan asin katamba diperoleh dari 14 pasar, masing-masing sampel mewakili satu kecamatan yang ada di kota Makassar. Terdapat beberapa tahap pada penelitian ini. Pertama, menyiapkan sampel. kedua, pengujian adanya kandungan formalin pada sampel. Penelitian menunjukkan,10 dari 14 sampel teridentifikasi mengandung formalin.Kata kunci :Formalin, Ikan Asin Katamba (Lethrinus lentjan) ABSTRACTThis research was an experimental study aimed to determine the presence of formalin in Katamba salted fish (Lethrinus lentjan) circulated in the city of Makassar. Katamba salted fish samples obtained from 14 markets, each market represented one subdistricts in Makassar. There wereseveralstagesin this study. Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruhkonsentrasi arang aktif dan waktu kontak pada adsorpsi arang aktifterhadap viskositas oli bekas. Penentuan pengaruh konsentrasi arangaktif dan waktu kontak dilakukan dengan variasi konsentrasi 5, 10,15, 20, 25, 30, 35 dan 40 % masing-masing pada waktu kontak 15, 30dan 45 menit. Viskositas oli bekas diukur dengan menggunakanviskosimeter Oswald. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwapengaruh konsentrasi arang aktif yaitu semakin besar konsentrasiarang aktif maka akan semakin kecil viskositas oli bekas danoptimum pada konsentrasi 25 %. Waktu kontak tidak menunjukkanpengaruh yang signifikan terhadap viskositas oli bekas, namun waktukontak yang optimum yaitu pada waktu kontak 30 menit.Kata kunci: Arang aktif, konsentrasi, waktu kontak dan viskositas oliABSTRACTThis research aims to know influence of activated charcoalconcentration and contact time the adsorption of activated charcoaltowards used oil viscosity. Determination of the concentration andcontact time influence of activated charcoal adsorption was done byvariaty its concentration, namely 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 %and its contact time, namely 15, 30 and 45 minute. The viscosity ofused oil measured using Oswald viscometer and showed that thehigher concentration of charcoal activated the lower of its viscosityby 25 % is optimum. The contact time showed no significantinfluence on the viscosity of the used oil, but the optimum contacttime is at 30 minutes’ contact time.Keywords: Actifated charcoal, concentration, contact time and oilviscosity

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar efektivitas penggunaan video Youtube dalam model pembelajaran direct instruction terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo pada materi pokok reaksi reduksi dan oksidasi. Desain penelitian ini adalah the one group pretest posttest design. Subjek penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar dari rata-rata sebelum perlakuan yaitu 34,63 meningkat menjadi 84,23 dengan rata-rata gain ternormalisasi 0,75 ini berarti penggunaan video Youtube dalam model pembelajaran direct instruction efektif dengan kategori tinggi terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo materi pokok reaksi reduksi dan oksidasi. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t pihak kanan diperoleh thitung = 4,5417 pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 diperoleh ttabel = 1,699. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak atau H1 diterima artinya penggunaan video Youtube dalam model pembelajaran direct instruction efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Wonomulyo pada materi pokok reaksi reduksi dan oksidasi.Kata Kunci: Video Youtube, Direct Instruction, Hasil belajar.
