Abstract

Background : Jamkesmas (Public Health Insurance) patients as the customers who used health care service in puskesmas need a high-quality health service to cure the diseases they suffer from and to generate satisfaction with the health service they receive from the personnel of puskesmas. As we know, puskesmas is one form of comprehensive health service organizations encompassing health promotion, prevention, curing and recovery aspects for all people so that the society will get a high-quality and affordable health service. The preliminary study shows that there is a relationship between health service quality and the satisfaction level of Jamkesmas (Public Health Insurance) patient. The higher the quality of health service, the higher is the satisfaction level received by the Jamkesmas patient. The bad health service given by the health service provider will decrease the satisfaction level of Jamkesmas patients. This study aimed to find out and to analyze the relationship between health service quality and the satisfaction level of Jamkesmas patients in Puskesmas Sedayu I of Bantul Regency. Methods : This study was an analytical observational research with cross-sectional approach. Thirty subjects of research selected using purposive quota sampling technique were the participants of Jamkesmas who had had them examined in Puskesmas Sedayu I of Bantul Regency and met the inclusion criteria. The data collection was carried out through direct interview with the patients using questionnaire. The data of research was analyzed using Chi Square test. Results : This study showed that the Quality of Health Service was related significantly to the Satisfaction Level of Jamkesmas Patient (p = 0.003). Conclusions : There was a statistically significant relationship between Health Service Quality and the Satisfaction Level of Jamkesmas patients of 52.80%. Abstract

Background: Upper respiratory infection (URI) remains one of the primary causes of child mortality in Indonesia. Some studies have shown that exclusive breastfeeding can prevent various infectious diseases including URI. However, in some places the incidence of tonsilitis is still high although target of exclusive breastfeeding coverage has been met. This study aimed to determine association between exclusive breastfeeding and the risk of tonsillitis in children under five in Demak, Central Java.Subjects and Method: This was a cross sectional study conducted at 3 Community Health Centers, Demak, Central Java, from March to April 2017. A sample of 35 children under five years old were selected for this study. The dependent variable was the incidence of tonsillitis. The independent variable was history of exclusive breastfeeding. The data were collected by questionnaire. Tonsillitis was determined by history taking and physical examination. The data were analyzed by Fisher exact test.Results: Children without history of exclusive breastfeeding had an increased risk of contracting tonsillitis (OR= 9.58; p= 0.015) compared to those with history of exclusive breastfeeding.Conclusion: Provision of exclusive breastfeeding is associated with lower risk of tonsilitis in children under five.Keywords: tonsillitis, exclusive breastfeeding, children under fiveCorrespondence:Paramita Stella.
