Abstract

Nowdays the application of wireless communication system at the airport area is very important as it is used to support the services and savety of people. In the beginning the communication is done by using Handy Talkie (HT) and the communication is limited on voice. To increase the working operation and savety of public the data communication, besides the voice, is needed. This research is designed to use wireless communication using TETRA technology on frequency 450 MHz by counting the linkbudget and are coverage of the airport. The calculation shows that the more the distance between Tx and Rx, the bigger the pathloss will be. When the distance is 5 km, the pathloss reaches 144,46dBm on the antenna receiver 1,25m. Menwhile the Rx heigh antenna does not have any significance effect on the pathloss. The coverage area for the plan can reach the distance 3,3 km when the power of transmission is 33 dBm which is enough to cover the whole area of the airport.Keywords: TETRA, Link Budget, Pathloss, Airport

Abstract

The cellular subscribers’s growth over the years increases the traffic volume at Base Stations (BSs) significantly. Typically, in central business district (CBD) area, the traffic load in cellular network in the daytime is relatively heavy, and light in the daynight. But, Base Station still consumes energy normally. It can cause the energy consumption is wasted. On the other hand, energy consumption being an important issue in the world. Because, higher energy consumption contributes on increasing of emission. Thus, it requires for efficiency energy methods by switching BS dynamically. The methods are Lower-to-Higher (LH) and Higher-to-Lower (HL) scheme on centralized algorithm. In this paper propose cell zooming technique  which can adjusts the cell size dynamic based on traffic condition. The simulation result by using Lower-to-Higher (LH) scheme can save the network energy consumption up to 70.7917% when the number of mobile user is 37 users and 0% when the number of mobile user is more than or equal to 291 users. While, Higher-to-Lower (HL) scheme can save the network energy consumption up to 32.3303% when the number of mobile user is 37 users and 0% when the number of mobile user is more than or equal to 292 users. From both of these schemes, we can analyze that by using Lower-to-Higher (LH) scheme reduces energy consumption greater than using Higher-to-Lower (HL) scheme. Nevertheless, both of them can be implemented for energy-efficient method in CBD area. Eventually, the cell zooming technique by using two schemes on centralized algorithm which leads to green cellular network in Surabaya is investigated.

Abstract

Deploying femtocells that have low power level in LTE with small coverage area is an alternative solution for mobile operators to improve indoors network coverage area as well as system capacity. However deploying femtocells (HeNB) that were used co-channel frequency, can be brought about interference problem to the Macro BTS (eNB). Close Subscriber Group (CSG) of HeNB allows only User equipment (UE) to access HeNB. HeNB is the source of interference for UE who cannot access it. Therefore it is necessary for interference coordination methods among the HeNB and eNB. The methods are ICIC (Intercell Interference Coordination) and eICIC (enhanced Intercell Interference Coordination).  This paper proposed performance analysis of scheduling schemes for Femto to macro interference coordination that allocated resource in the frequency and time domain using LTE-Femtocell suburban and urban deployment scenario. Simulation result using ICIC methods can improve SINR performance 15.77 % in urban and 28.66 % in suburban, throughput performance 10.11 % in urban and 21.05 % in suburban. eICIC methods can improve SINR performance 17.44 % in urban and 31.14 % in suburban, throughput performance 19.83% in urban and 44.39 % in suburban.The result prove using eICIC method in time domain resource have better performance than using ICIC method in frequency resource. However using eICIC method in suburban deployment scenariocan increase the performance of SINR and throughput more effective than using eICIC method in urban deployment scenario.

Abstract

Background: In carrying out their main duties, soldiers are often confronted with risks that can cause them to have disabilities either when carrying out operational tasks or having accident in the service. Efforts to improve the life of persons with disabilities are empowered through integrated rehabilitation process for Personnel of The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia and Indonesian National Armed Forces with disabilities. This research was aimed to describe and analyzing the integrated rehabilitation on persons with disabilities at the Ministry of Defense Rehabilitation Center, and describing the factors that support and inhibit the implementation of integrated rehabilitation. Methods: This research was a descriptive qualitative research with an in-depth interview as instrument to obtain data from informants who were the participants of integrated rehabilitation.With Triangulation the source was the instructor and the rehabilitation organizer. Results: Based on the results of interview analysis conducted, the researchers also have identified several supporting factors and inhibiting factors on the implementation of integrated rehabilitation program. The inhibiting factors are Resources: the limited number of instructors (human resources) that have sufficient competence and the lack of facilities for the accessibility of persons with disabilities this will hinder the implementation of rehabilitation. From the results of research indicates that communication, disposition and bureaucratic structure is a supporting factor in the implementation of integrated rehabilitation. Conclusions: Implementation of integrated rehabilitation has been running well although there are still inhibiting factors. Therefore, the Ministry of Defense Rehabilitation Center should continue to strive to become professional rehabilitator in order to create self-sufficient and productive persons with disabilities so as to improve their welfare.

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this article is the author’s concern of students character in using Java language programs at SDN Rejosari, Kemiri Subdistrict, Purworejo. The purpose of this article is to present the importance of Java language programs to strengthen students character. The method used by the author in compiling this article is by literature review. In addition, the author also observed the students’ ability to use Java language programs especially in grade IV, V, and VI. The writer also discussed with the class teachers to find the right solutions in an effort to revive the use of Java language programs. The results of the study in this article find a solution that cultivating Java language programs can be done through exemplary and habituation. Exemplary in using Java language programs can be applied in conversations between teachers in the school environment and between teachers and students. The use of Java language programs in schools can be done during Javanese learning, in informal situations outside the classroom, or on the sidelines of learning activities.AbstrakPenulisan artikel ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keprihatinan penulis akan lunturnya karakter siswa dalam menggunakan unggah-ungguh Bahasa Jawa di SDN Rejosari, Kecamatan Kemiri, Kabupaten Purworejo. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah menyajikan kajian tentang pentingnya unggah-ungguh Bahasa Jawa dalam penguatan karakter siswa. Metode yang digunakan oleh penulis dalam menyusun artikel ini adalah dengan telaah pustaka. Selain itu, penulis juga melakukan observasi terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan unggah-ungguh Bahasa Jawa utamanya pada siswa kelas IV, V, dan VI, serta berdiskusi dengan guru kelas untuk menemukan solusi yang tepat dalam upaya menggiatkan kembali penggunaan unggah-ungguh Bahasa Jawa. Hasil kajian dalam artikel ini menemukan solusi bahwa penanaman unggah-ungguh Bahasa Jawa dapat dilakukan melalui keteladanan dan pembiasaan. Keteladanan dalam menggunakan unggah-ungguh Bahasa Jawa dapat diterapkan dalam percakapan antarguru di lingkungan sekolah dan antara guru dengan siswa. Pembiasaan penggunaan unggah-ungguh Bahasa Jawa di sekolah dapat dilakukan pada saat pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa, pada situasi informal di luar kelas, maupun di sela-sela kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran, menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang baik, dan mendeskripsikan keefektifan pembelajaran operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan dengan pendekatan matematika realistik berbantuan media kartu pecahan di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Model pengembangan yang digunakan sebagai acuan adalah model Four-D dari Thiagarajan, Semmel, dan Semmel (1974, p. 5). Model pengembangan ini meliputi empat tahap yaitu Define (pendefinisian), Design (perancangan), Develop (pengembangan) , dan Disseminate (penyebaran). Penelitian ini menghasilkan (1) perangkat pembelajaran yang baik dengan kriteria : (a) kevalidan, hasil penilaian validator terhadap perangkat pembelajaran secara umum berada pada skor 4 dengan kategori valid; (b) kepraktisan, diindikasikan dengan kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran berada pada skor 3 ke atas dalam kategori baik; (c) keefektifan, dengan indikator aktivitas siswa memenuhi kriteria efektif sesuai dengan waktu ideal dan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal mencapai 79 %; (2) Pembelajaran matematika realistik berbantuan media kartu pecahan efektif untuk mengajarkan operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan dengan kriteria : (a) hasil belajar siswa tuntas dengan persentase ketuntasan secara klasikal mencapai 82%; (b) kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran berada pada skor 3 ke atas dalam kategori baik; (c) aktivitas siswa memenuhi kriteria efektif; (d) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran positif.Kata Kunci: Perangkat Pembelajaran, Penjumlahan dan Pengurangan Pecahan,  Pendekatan Matematika Realistik, Media Kartu Pecahan  AbstractThis study aims to describe the development process of learning materials, to generate quality learning materials, and to describe the effectiveness of learning addition and subtraction on fractions using realistic mathematics education with fraction card media at fourth grade. This study used Four-D Model of Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (1974, p. 5). This development model includes four stages : define, design, develop, and disseminate. The result of the study show that (1) the learning materials developed satisfied the following criteria: (a) validity, the result of validation toward the learning materials met valid category at score 4; (b) practicality, shown by the teacher?s capability in managing the learning process which were good at score ? 3 for each meeting; (c) effectiveness, shown by the students? activities in learning process that satisfied the ideal time interval, the classical mastery reached 79 %; (2) Realistic Mathematics Education with fraction card media was effective to teach addition and subtraction on fractions with criteria as follows: (a) the classical mastery on the implementation class reached 82 %; (2) the teacher?s capability in managing the learning process which categorized good at score ? 3 for each meeting; (3) the students? activities in learning process satisfied the ideal time interval; (4) the students? responses categorized positive. Keyword: Learning Materials, Addition and Subtraction on Fractions, Realistic Mathematics Education, Fraction Card Media

Abstract

This research is about modelling the communication channel affected by the rain. The parameter of the model include the fading and polarization change from 30 GHz milimeter wave LMDS (Local Multipoint Distribution Service) propagation. The acquisition of data was getting online from Parsivel device supported by ASDO application software, and for rainfall measurement there are 3 raingauges used in 4 different locations at the area of ITS campus.Keywords: place variation, time variation, LMDS

Keteladanan dalam menggunakan unggah-ungguh Bahasa Jawa dapat diterapkan dalam percakapan antarguru di lingkungan sekolah dan antara guru dengan siswa. Pembiasaan penggunaan unggah-ungguh Bahasa Jawa di sekolah dapat dilakukan pada saat pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa, pada situasi informal di luar kelas, maupun di sela-sela kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara  agraris dimana sebagian besar penghasilan masyarakat Indonesia yaitu dari pertanian. Untuk mempertahan harga jual hasil pertanian, maka diperlukan perhatian khusus dalam penyimpanan hasil panen di gudang terutama kadar air hasil panen. Pada penelitian dalam bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dibuat sebuah alat monitoring kadar air pada gabah dengan memanfaatkan mikrokontroler node MCU dan sensor kadar air yang terhubung ke internet. Data monitoring kadar air disimpan pada database dan pengguna dapat mengaksesnya melalui perangkat smartphone pada halaman website. Sehingga pengguna dapat mengakses kondisi hasil panen mereka yang ada di gudang bisa dilakukan dimana saja. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di Desa Kampungbaru, Nganjuk. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi dan pengujian, hasil pembacaan sensor kadar air pada gabah sebesar 14% dapat dikirim ke server dan dapat diakses oleh pengguna menggunakan smartphone.
