Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) on learning purposes and assessments as well as the suitability of HOTS on the learning purposes and assessments in the Chemistry subject especially on Acid and Basa Concept. This research was classified as qualitative research with content analysis. Content analysis is a research method that discusses in depth the contents of written or printed information in a mass media. The informant of this research is the document of the Learning Implementation Plan and daily test questions obtained from the Chemistry teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh. The results of this study were (1) HOTS has been contained in the learning purposes of chemistry in the Acid and Basa Concept at SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh, among the 7 learning purposes, just 4 of them are learning purposes that contain HOTS; (2) HOTS has been contained in the Chemistry Learning Assessment in the Acid and Basa Concept at SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh. There was only one assessment question that contains the HOTS; and (3) there was no relevance between the HOTS that contained in the learning purposes and assessment on the Acid and Basa Concept at SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisa sejauh mana perbandingan siswa laki-laki dan perempuan dalam menyikapi persoalan ilmiah dan membandingkannya dengan data sementara sebelumnya yang didapatkan oleh peneliti. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu Sekolah Menengah Negeri di Kabupaten Kerinci. Penelitian ini melibatkan 50 siswa sebagai responden yang terdiri dari 25 siswa laki-laki dan 25 siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis Rasch untuk menelaah skala pengukuran, keadaan umum siswa, dan keadaan spesifik antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skala yang disusun dan responden yang dipilih dalam pengukuran sesuai dengan tuntutan Rasch model. Kemudian sikap ilmiah siswa secara umum baik laki-laki dan perempuan menunjukkan rata-rata yang lebih tinggi dari rata-rata item pengukuran dengan menggunakan Rasch model. Dalam satuan Logits Sikap ilmiah perempuan menunjukkan 1,28 dan Laki-laki 1,26. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara sikap ilmiah laki-laki dan perempuan. This study aims to describe and analyze the extent to which male and female students compare in addressing scientific issues and compare them with the previous provisional data obtained by the researcher. This research is descriptive quantitative research. This research was conducted in one of the public high schools in Kerinci Regency. This study involved 50 students as respondents consisting of 25 male and 25 female students. This study uses a Rasch analysis approach to examine the measurement scale, students' general condition, and the specific circumstances between male and female students. The results showed that the scale was compiled, and the respondents selected in the measurement were by the demands of the Rasch model. Then the general scientific attitude of students, both boys and girls, showed a higher average than the average of the measurement items using the Rasch model. In Logits, the scientific attitude of the female is 1.28, and the male is 1.26. The results of the study show that there is no significant difference between the scientific attitudes of men and women.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat literasi sains peserta didik di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Kota Sungai Penuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survey dengan disain cross-sectional survey design. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi yang diguanakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik Kelas XI dan XII IPA Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 dan XI dan XII IPA Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Sungai Penuh yang berjumlah 97 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling. Hasil Penelitian: Tingkat literasi sains Peserta didik kelas XI IPA MAN 1 dan 2 Sungai Penh secara umum berada pada kategori sedang, dengan persentase 58,66% untuk MAN 1 dan 47,40% untuk MAN 2 Sungai Penuh. Tingkat literasi sains Peserta didik kelas XII MAN 1 dan MAN 2 Sungai Penuh ,berasarkan soal PISA berada pada kategori sedang, dengan persentase masing-masing sebesar 62,62 % untuk MAN 1 dan 39% untuk kelas XII IPA MAN 2. Tingkat literasi sains Peserta didik MAN Sungai Penuh secara umum adalah sedang, dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 54,65

Copyright©2023 Metacognitive urgency is required to develop students' problem-solving abilities because learning requires students to develop not only cognitive abilities but also high reasoning skills. This study aimed to determine the relationship between metacognitive skills and students' ability to solve problems in biology using the PjBL model. This study was quantitative research with a correlational approach. The research was conducted over the course of a month in August 2022. The data analysis technique used was the Normality Test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Z-test, followed by the Pearson Correlation Test to determine the existence and magnitude of the relationship between variable X and variable Y, others expressed in percent. The metacognitive skills of students at SMAN 4 Sungai Penuh fall into the high category, with a percentage of 76.11%. However, the ability of students to solve problems in Biology subjects using the PjBL model at SMAN 4 Sungai Penuh is categorized as low, with a percentage of 52.23%. The study found no correlation between students' metacognitive skills and their ability to solve problems in the Biology subject using the PjBL model at SMAN 4 Sungai Penuh. Furthermore, there was no correlation observed between the indicators of students' metacognitive skills and their problem-solving abilities in Biology using the PjBL model in SMAN 4 Sungai Penuh.

Abstract

This research maps the thesis profile of students, which consists of research topics, types of research, and methods. The most dominant chosen by students from the mapping results, and an analysis of the suitability between research topics, types of research, and research methods from several studies with similarities is carried out. From 2017 to 2019, two research topics always appeared and were the most dominant in the thesis of Biology Tadris students, namely research topics with the scope of Effect and Application, while the type of research that dominated the undergraduate dissertation of Biology IAIN Kerinci students, namely the qualitative kind of research. and the types of research and research methods most chosen by students are descriptive and experimental research methods

Abstract

Science and Religion are two entities that often clash. The purpose of this study is to interpret the tendencies of the students of the two entities by using the Rasch analysis approach to re-validate the previous scale. Science students are Biology Education Department and religion are Islamic Education Department. This study shows a significant difference between Science and Religion students in giving approval to the Corona-SARS-Cov-2 virus vaccine.
