Abstract

Samba is a re-implementation of the SMB (Server Message Block) / CIFS (Common Internet File System) from Windows NT used for providing shared access to files, printers and miscellaneous communications between nodes on a network. Samba uses the client- server mechanism whereby a computer will act as a server and should always be active to provide services to users. As an alternative, wireless router is used to replace computer server functionality to provide the same services as computer server did. By using OpenWrt, wireless router can be installed with Samba server. To simplify the installation and configuration process of Samba server, we designed a Bash shell script to automatically installing and configuring Samba server on OpenWrt router.Keywords: bash, networking, OpenWrt, router, samba, shell script

Abstract

GNU/Linux is an operating system that allows the users to build or develop their own operating system. There are two methods that can be used, Remaster and Linux From Scratch. The difference is the LFS method builds a system from zero while Remaster using existing Linux distributions [4]. The goal of this research is to investigate the steps of building Linux base operating system using LFS method. The operating system has been built successfully and can be used to fulfill the daily needs such as playing music or video, browsing, programming, and other tasks.Keywords: GNU/Linux, Linux From Scratch, open source, operating system

Abstract

This early (nowadays), Internet Service Provider has been growing rapidly. To choose Internet Service Provider is extremely difficult because every Internet Service Provider has its advantages and disadvantages as well. Some methods such as Failover, Per Connection Classifier, Round Robin, and several others are able to combine between an internet connection from several multiple Internet Service Provider. Failover method is being useful for separating between the Internet Service Provider that will be a priority connection and the backup connection. In this application two or more Internet Service Providers cooperate together to keep the Internet connection remain stable. By using the application, it is no longer difficult to handle the problem of bad Internet Service Provider.

Abstract

Samba is an application that can connect two different operating system platforms. This application created in order to computer Linux, Unix, or BSD so that can be used as a Samba file server-based protocol, so Windows-based computers can access it. Samba server is implemented in the Laboratory of Computation, FMIPA University of Lampung as a means to facilitate access data or files for instructors, assistants, and practitioners. Using Samba server for file sharing can give problems in accessing, storing, and managing data or files because many users are accessing the system on a computer network so that the database server is messy. Considering these problems, the PDC is required as a file server. One purpose of this paper is to apply the Samba server as a PDC centrally in Laboratory of Computation , FMIPA University of Lampung. Based on test, the Samba server as a PDC has been successfully applied so management, storage, and transmission of data becomes easier, the problem was resolved.

Abstract

The development of technology is very fast. Nowadays, technology has influenced human life. For most people, handphone and computer now become a necessity. Computer can give  information as we need with internet, but internet can cause a negative influence as well. In this research, we build an web base application which can block a negative-influence sites using Squid Proxy. Squid is a daemon that used as a proxy server and web cache. It can work as a connection sharing, filtering and caching. The web which domain block is successfully built which can create a bandwidth share and domain block web base application.

Abstract

Without no doubt, technology supports the human life and can be applied in many aspects, for example ineducation development. Learning process using computer as an aided tools are commonly used. The Applicationof Sequential Search Algorithm for The Searching Process of Information in The Learning System of Human’sHeart is an example of the application of computer in education that can be one of solution to help the learningprocess for teachers, lecturers, or students. In this research we use the sequential search algorithm searchingprocess in learning system of human’s heart which is one of the search methods to facilitate text searches of theinformation that required by the user. This system gives information about the material that is related to the heartorgan, i.e, heart anatomy, heart physiology, and heart pathology. The testing systems that used in this applicationis Black Box method. Black Box Testing is focuses on the functional requirements of the software. Abstract

Crane Barge merupakan sebuah kapal bisa disebut dengan pontoon yang memiliki crane diatasnya, biasa digunakan untuk menunjang kegiatan kerja pengeboran gas dan minyak bumi seperti dredging, lifting, protection pile removal, installasi pin connector dan installasi boom burner. Tugas akhir ini menganalisa stabilitas statis dan dinamis dengan mencari tinggi gelombang maksimal yang diizinkan menurut standar yang digunakan dibantu oleh software MOSES dibagi dalam tiga kondisi, yaitu 10% consummables, 50% consummables, dan 100% consummables. Stabilitas yang dihasilkan crane barge untuk setiap kondisi menunjukkan angka stabilitas yang baik sesuai dengan kriteria yang ditentukan. Untuk gerakan maksimum yang dihasilkan yang memenuhi standar Total E&P Indonesié Lifting Operation pada kondisi 10% Consummables, yaitu untuk heading 0° dan 180°, tinggi gelombang yang diizinkan sebesar 1.53 m, heading 45°,135°,225°, dan 315°  tinggi gelombang sebesar 1.37 m, sedangkan untuk heading 90° dan 270° tinggi gelombang sebesar 0,83 m. Sedangkan untuk gerakan maksimum pada kondisi 50% Consummables, yaitu untuk heading 0° dan 180°, tinggi gelombang yang diizinkan sebesar 1.62 m, heading 45°,135°,225°, dan 315°  tinggi gelombang sebesar 1.40 m, sedangkan untuk heading 90° dan 270° tinggi gelombang sebesar 0,90 m. Gerakan yang diperoleh untuk roll dan pitch dapat dikatakan aman pada tinggi gelombang yang telah didapatkan untuk masing-masing arah dan kondisinya karena masih memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan sehingga operasi pengangkatan dan pemasangan boom burner pada platform MWP-B Peciko Field Total E&P Indonesié dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik.

Abstract

Sea cucumber is one of the marine bioactive compounds resources . The properties of the bioactive compound are biologically shown by their functions as anticancer, antifungi, hemolytic, and immunomodulatoryt. The purpose of this research is to predict (determine) the toxicity level of the extracts of Actinopyga miliaris, Holothuria leucospilota, Bohadschia argus, and Bohadschia marmorata collected from Penjaliran Timur Island, Seribu Island National Park Jakarta. The method used in this research is Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT). The result of this research showed that all of the extract from those species are active in BSLT, indicated by LC50 values of less than 1000 μg/ml. Bohadcshia argus is highest active species indicated by LC50 value 69,254 μg/ml. Water fraction of H. leucospilota’s crude extract is the most active fraction indicated by LC50 50,968 μg/ml.Keywords: Brine Shrimp Lethality Test, Crude Extract, Fractionation, Family Holothuriidae, Sea Cucumber

Abstract

Dunia pendidikan kanak-kanak, khususnya pada taraf Sekolah Taman Kanak-Kanak, mempunyai dua kutub permasalahan yang kontras satu sama lain.Pertama adalah masalah volume dan bobot bertanggungjawabnya, yang jauh lebih besar bila dibandingkan dengan pendidikan yang lain-lain, ditinjau dari jumlah anak yang ada, yang berusia antara 4-6 tahun, yang memerlukan pendidikan Sekolah Taman Kanak-Kanak sangat besar dibanding dengan jenjang di atasnya, yang telah lebih menjurus dan lagi telah pula tersaring dengan korban-korban mereka yang gagal diterima untuk kelanjutan belajar, maupun yang putus sekolah.

Abstract

The research of photoperiodicity effect on the cell densities of genus Chlorella grown in Bold’s Basal Medium (BBM) had been done. Observations were done for 14 days. Research was experimental study with full random design to 8 varieties of photoperiodicity i.e. 6 h light/18 h dark (L/D) cycles, 8 h light/16 h dark (L/D) cycles, 10 h light/14 h dark (L/D) cycles, 12 h light/12 h dark (L/D) cycles, 14 h light/10 h dark (L/D) cycles, 16 h light/8 h dark (L/D) cycles, 18 h light/6 h dark (L/D) cycles, and 24 h light/0 h dark (L/D) cycles. On peak culture, 24 h light/0 h dark (L/D) cycles produced the highest cell numbers (204.680.000 cell/ml) and the lowest cell numbers were achieved by culture with 6 h light/18 h dark (L/D) cycles. Kruskall-Wallis test showed that there were some effects of photoperiodicity variations on cell numbers of Chlorella (cell/ml) in culture (p>0.05). Multiple comparison tests showed that mean of cell numbers of Chlorella (cell/ml) differ (p>0.01) on every photoperiodicity. Relationship between photoperiodicity and cell numbers of Chlorella was determined by regression equation Ŷ = 24634821,214 + 21977643,869 X.
