Abstract

Compliance with the chronic disease management program with blood sugar stability in people with diabetes mellitusBackground: according to Basic Health Research (2013), the numbers of diabetes mellitus (DM) patients in Indonesia were +12,191,564. The DM prevalence in Lampung province was 0.7% or 38,923 case. Prevalence of DB in Metro was 1.2% or 1,564 cases (Office Health in Metro, 2018) and it belonged to first rank in Lampung province. Banjar sari public health center in Metro had a chronic disease management program (Prolanis) with 51 members. The observation result from 16 DM patients measured for their blood pressures showed that 5 patients (31.25%) had blood sugar level > normal and 11 patients (68.75%) had normal blood sugar level.Purpose: To find out the correlation of Compliance with the chronic disease management program with blood sugar stability in people with diabetes mellitusMethod: A quantitative research by using cross sectional approach. Population was 36 DM patients in chronic disease management program in Banjarsasri public health center in Metro. Data were collected with questionnaires and analyzed by using chi square test.Results: there were 19 respondents (52.8%) with not normal blood sugar level and 21 respondents (58.3%) were obedience to diet pattern. There was a correlation of diet obedience to sugar blood level of patients with diabetes mellitus in chronic disease management program (p-value 0.015; OR 8.0).Conclusion: there was a correlation of diet obedience to sugar blood level of patients with diabetes mellitus in chronic disease management program. The researcher suggests public health center to limit food intake according to suggested diet pattern.     Keywords: Compliance; Chronic disease management program; Blood sugar stability; Diabetes mellitusPendahuluan: Menurut Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas, 2013), jumlah  penderita DM Di Indonesia yaitu +12.191.564 jiwa. Prevalensi penderita DM di Provinsi Lampung yaitu 0,7%  dengan jumlah penderita 38.923 jiwa.  Prevalensi diabetisi di Kota Metro adalah 1,2 % dengan jumlah kasus 1.564 jiwa menurut (Dinkes Metro 2018)  menempati peringkat 1 di Provinsi Lampung. Puskesmas Rawat Inap Banjarsari Metro memiliki program Prolanis dengan jumlah peserta 51 orang. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan hanya sebanyak 16 penderita DM yang melakukan pengukuran kadar gula darah dengan hasil 5 orang (31,25%) kadar gula darah > normal dan 11 orang (68,75%) kadar gula darah dalam kategori normal.Tujuan: Diketahui hubungan Kepatuhan mengikuti program pengelolaan penyakit kronis (Prolanis) dengan stabilitas gula darah pada penderita diabetes mellitus.Metode: Penelitian kuantitatif, menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh Penderita DM Peserta Prolanis di Puskesmas Rawat Inap Banjarsari Metro pada saat penelitian dilaksanakan sejumlah 36 orang.Sampel 36 responden. Tehnik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan  menggunakan kuesioner. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji Chi Square.Hasil:Pada penelitian menunjukandistribusi frekuensi responden yang memiliki kadar gula darah tidak normal sebanyak 19 responden (52.8%), responden yang  patuh terhadap diet sebanyak 21 (58.3%). Adahubungan kepatuhan terhadap diet dengan kadar gula darah pada Penderita DM Peserta Prolanis (p value 0,015 dan OR 8,0).Simpulan: Ada hubungan kepatuhan terhadap diet dengan kadar gula darah pada penderita DM peserta prolanis. Saran dalam penelitian ini diharapkan penderita DM dapat membatasi asupan makanan sesuai dengan diet yang dianjurkan.
