Abstract

: One of the efforts is towards healthy behavior through a program known as the Clean and Healthy Behavior Program (PHBS) which is carried out systematically and coordinated. The Effects of Play for Increasing Children's Knowledge Games can increase affiliation with peers, reduce pressure, improve cognitive development and can reduce potentially dangerous behaviors. This study aims to determine the effect of education on PHBS knowledge in junior high school students and students in the city of Bengkulu. The design used was a quasi experiment using a pre-post test design with control group design. the subject group was observed before the intervention, then observed again after the intervention. The sample was taken using simple random sampling with 30 people in one group and the entire study sample was 60 people. The research instrument used was a questionnaire made by Titi Sari Banun. Analysis used the Wilcoxon test to compare anxiety variables in groups, while the Mann Whitney-U test was used to compare anxiety variables in both groups. The results of the statistical test show p = 0.009 <α 0.05. so that it can be concluded that there is a difference in average PHBS knowledge before and after being given the educational game board POPOHIDATKU and it can be concluded that there is an influence of the educational board game POPOHIDATKU on Knowledge of PHBS in middle school children aged 13 years in Bengkulu City.

Abstract

Background: People with HIV who use injecting drugs besides taking ARVs also use methadone. With these conditions, of course there will be a risk of causing various side effects. Based on this, researchers are interested in exploring the physical side effects experienced by PLWHA IDUs while using ARV therapy and Methadone. Method: This qualitative research uses a phenomenological study approach. Participants were taken based on criteria referring to the purposive sampling technique (snowball sampling). Participants were PLWHA with a history of injecting drug users (IDU) aged 20 years and over and had undergone ARV therapy and Methadone maintenance therapy for at least 6 months. Researchers conducted semi-structured in-depth interviews and used Colaizzi's data analysis stages. Results: HIV AIDS sufferers who inject drug users experience physical side effects on the digestive system, namely tooth decay, constipation, anorexia. Side effects on the musculoskeletal system include muscle pain and weakness and insomnia. Side effects of the covering system are the appearance of itching and rashes. Side effect on the reproductive system is a decrease in sexual function. Recommendation: The results of this study need to be followed up with studies with a larger number of participants so that they can represent other problems experienced by PLWHA while using ARV therapy and methadone together.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by hyperglycemia. The high prevalence of diabetes causes a risk of peripheral neuropathy, 90% of DM sufferers have neuropathy and 50% have peripheral neuropathy. With more than 10 million people living with diabetes, Indonesia has a prevalence rate of 6.2%. The prevalence of DM in the Bengkulu City area is 2,369 people and based on data obtained at the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center in Bengkulu City in 2021 there are 296 people. The purpose was to determine whether there was an effect of a combination of leg exercises and foot therapy using a tennis ball on the sensitivity of the feet of people with diabetes mellitus. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental design technique using a pre-post test design with a control group. With a research sample of 40 respondents who were divided into 2 groups. The intervention group was given a combination of leg exercises and foot therapy using a tennis ball, while the control group was given ROM measures which were carried out 3 times within 1 week. Analysis using the Wilcoxon test ? <0.05. to see if there is a difference in the average sensitivity of the feet before and after the intervention is given. Then the Mann Whitney U Test was carried out with ? <0.05 to assess whether there was a difference in the average sensitivity of the feet after. The results showed that the average sensitivity of the feet after the combined intervention of leg exercises and foot therapy using a tennis ball was 9.05 with a p value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there was an effect of increasing foot sensitivity after being given the intervention.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder resulting from insufficiency of insulin function with many etiologies characterized by high blood sugar levels accompanied by disturbances in carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolism. The most common complication of DM is peripheral neuropathy which is characterized by decreased sensitivity of foot. The recommended activity to increase foot sensitivity is diabetic foot exercise. In this study, researchers developed a new foot exercise media, namely Diaball. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of foot exercise with Diaball on increasing the sensitivity of the foot of DM sufferers at the Nusa Indah Health Center in Bengkulu City. This type of research is a quasi-experiment. With a total sample of 38 people, they were divided into two groups, namely the intervention group of 19 people and the control group of 19 people. The sampling technique in this study was taken using consecutive sampling. The media used were Diaball and a monofilament test instrument. The statistical test using the Mann-Whitney showed a p value of 0.025 (p value ? ? 0.05) so that this could mean that there was an average difference in the sensitivity of the foot before and after the treatment in the intervention group and the control group. So that it can be concluded that there is an effect of foot exercise with Diaball on increasing foot sensitivity in DM sufferers.
