Abstract

Achieving production targets is the goal of all companies, especially manufacturing companies. PT Ganding Toolsindo is an automotive component manufacturing company that aims to provide a high level of service and is committed to its clients, so achieving production targets is essential. However, it is unfortunate that there are still problems regarding the non-fulfillment of production targets. In addition, issues regarding rusty raw materials and waste also occur there. The cause of this problem is the advantages and disadvantages of raw materials because production planning and control have not been appropriately implemented. Therefore, this Community Service (PkM) aims to assist partners in solving these problems through training, production planning, and control assistance. The PkM series is carried out with a preliminary survey, material preparation, training, and mentoring. The material given in this PkM activity is about "Introduction to Production Planning and Control" and "Production Planning and Control Systems for Make to Order (MTO) Type Companies.” In addition, assistance is provided to solve problems that are the company's focus, namely making Side Tube part products by making dual kanban for the parts. Based on the evaluation results, this PkM activity has been carried out well and received a positive response from PkM partners, namely PT. Ganding Toolsindo.

Abstract

The aim of this paper was to present an overview of Indonesia’s automotive component export by the country of destination. The data were taken from the Statistics Indonesia (Badan Pusat Statistik/BPS) of 2014, particularly the code of HS8708. Descriptive statistics, cluster analysis and principal component analysis were used in the analysis. The results showed that histogram of total export value indicated that the curve was skewed to the right which means there were some extreme values on the right. The largest export value, subsequently, came from Thailand, Japan, and Malaysia. Based on dendogram of the cluster analysis, there were five clusters of country of destination. Meanwhile the countries of destination include Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Brazil, Mexico, and others. Biplot principal component analysis identified the diverse characteristics of export destination countries among clusters. Gear boxes, clutches, and chasis frames were mostly demanded by Thailand; most of road wheels and part of radiators were exported to Japan; numbers of fuel tanks were sent to Malaysia; drive axles were mostly exported to the cluster of China, United Kingdom, and Philippines; while high demand of radiator spare-parts were obtained from United States.

Abstract

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is still a main concern for various levels of society. Changes in people's lifestyles have triggered companies to switch to the right new business strategies to control their businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The unemployment rate, which increased by 7.07 percent due to the pandemic, needs to be suppressed by opening new jobs. The Triple Layered Business Model Canvas (TLBMC) is a method that can be used by Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to collaborate with the surrounding community in improving their quality of life during the pandemic. This research was conducted to identify the development of the TLBMC method, which can be obtained from literature studies from 2016 to 2022. The method used in this study is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). This study uses the Exponential Comparison Method (MPE) to minimize bias in assessing the quality of the selected literature. The results showed that from 27 pieces of literature, nine top-selected literature with total scores above 5019 points could support research on applying TLBMC in CSR. This study found the importance of CSR collaboration with the community in restoring the economic cycle in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic with the support of the TLBMC method.
