Abstract

Perancangan tata letak fasilitas salah satunya bertujuan untuk meminimisasi ongkos material handling. Perancangan tata letak fasilitas dalam makalah ini menggunakan metode konvensional. Metode konvensional dimulai dengan menghitung ongkos material handling (OMH). Kemudian hasil perhitungan OMH awal dituangkan kedalam from to chart, outflow-inflow, skala prioritas, Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD), Activity Relationship Chart (ARC), Area Allocation Diagram (AAD), dan template 2 dimensi. Template usulan perbaikan terdiri dari 3 opsi usulan, dan usulan yang terpilih berdasarkan kriteria minimisasi ongkos material handling adalah usulan opsi 3 dimana penempatan mesin diletakkan kedalam satu atap pabrik dan penempatan jarak antar mesin tidak menggunakan perhitungan allowance (kelonggaran) teoritis. Kata kunci: Perancangan Tata Letak Fasilitas, Minimisasi Ongkos Material Handling, Metode Konvensional ABSTRACT One of main goal from designing the facility layout is to minimize material handling costs. Designing the facility layout in this paper using conventional methods. The conventional method starts by calculating the material handling costs (OMH). Then the results of the calculation of the initial OMH poured into from to chart, outflow-inflow, priorities, Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD), Activity Relationship Chart (ARC), Area Allocation Diagram (AAD), and 2-dimensional template. Template proposed improvement consists of three options proposed, and the proposal is selected based on the criteria of minimization of material handling cost is proposed option 3 where the placement machine is put into the roof of the factory and the placement of the distance between the machine does not use the allowance calculation (looseness) theoretical.
