Abstract

Remote Area Community's Belief System of Akit Tribe in Desa PenyangatFaith is an aspect related to human belief to science, involving nature and human being. It can be related to religion concept or magical world or even not at all. Akit Tribe's belief is animism. Social change happen in Akit Tribe. Now, many of them are moslems,buddhist, and christian. The aim of this research is to find out the meaning and function of religion convertion and factors that cause religion switch in Akit Tribe Rwmote Community. Subject of this research is people of Desa Penyengat who decided to become christian. This is a descriptive qualitative research with purpossive technique sampling. In this research, writer found that in remote area, religion is a role in daily life. Factors that cause religion switch are: God's guideline, social environment, and certain religious even. Besides, missionary efforts gave a huge impact in this religion switch. The missionarist come to people's house directly and persuade them to switch the belief. Other factor of this switch is marriage with people from outside of Penyengat.Keyword: belief system, remote community, Religion convertion.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the village of beehive New District of Lubuk In Siak. The purpose of this study is the first to find out what strategies Palm Valley KUD members to improve their welfare. The second objective is to determine the forms of service to every member of the Village Unit Cooperatives Palm Valley Village New beehive Analyzing the data in this study using Qualitative Research Methods. Qualitative Research Methods This is an analysis that seeks to provide a detailed picture of reality based on facts obtained from the field and also supported by the data in order to support the primary and secondary data exist. Qualitative research is presented in the form of words from the interview with the author of the respondents that describe the specific circumstances and understandable of Member Strategies Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD) Palm Valley In Improving Welfare. The results of field research shows that there is the occurrence of an unstable income or air fluctuates so that respondents feel lack in sufficient daily needs. Therefore, respondents need additional work or increase revenues by entrepreneurship, this method is more effective in improving the well-being because the respondents felt helped by their enterprises.Keywords: Member Cooperatives, Cooperative Village Unit, Welfare

Abstract

Being a parent is one of the many tasks humans as social beings. Integrity of the parents ( father and mother) in a family is needed to help children to have self-development. But there are also families that is less complete, ie that only a family headed by a woman (the mother) only. This can happen due to many reason, among others due to divorce, widowed by her husband due to his own choice or. This phenomenon is often referred to as a single parent. Certainly not easy being a single parent, because he had to act as father and mother to her children. This study aims to determine how the role of women in a single parent family function with variety of problems faced and the strategies undertaken by the female single parent to tackle the problem.Based on the fact that some women who become single parents often prefer not to marry again and more focused on taking care of her children. Being a single parent for a mother more difficulty and severity of dual task as breadwinners and care of children. It takes an uphill battle to raise children, including meeting the needs of family life. Not to mention people's views about the family, the single parent so women should be able to position themselves well for a family or for society.Keywords: Roles, Single Parent, Family Function

Abstract

Merokok merupakan sebuah fenomena gaya hidup pada orang masa kini, kebiasaan ini menganggap perilaku merokok adalah sutu perilaku yang wajar dan tidak mempunyai masalah. Perilaku merokok bisa ditemukan di mana-mana, sebagai pelaku yaitu perokok aktif yaitu merupakan seseorang yang melakukan aktivitas merokok secara langsung maupun perkok paif yaitu seseorang yang tidak merokok tetapi secara tidak langsung menghirup asap dari hembusan dari mulut perokok aktif. Perilaku sosial merupakan sifat relatif untuk menanggapi orang lain dengan cara yang berbeda-beda. Sebagai makhluk sosial, perilaku merokok ialah perilaku yang tidak terlepas dari manusia lainnya, yaitu dalam konteks sosial. Perilaku merokok banyak dipengarui oleh lingkungan sosial, karena perilaku dan karakter seseorang cenderung dibentuk oleh lingkungan sekitar. Respon sosial adalah tanggapan atau balasan terhadap rangsangan atau stimulus dari perokok. Banyak dijumpai penyakit yang ditimbulkan oleh rokok. Hal seperti ini menjadi masalah serius. Dan dalam hal tersebut pemerintah pada bulan juni tahun 2014 resmi memutuskan untuk memakai poster berbetuk pesan peringatan kesehatan pada kemasan rokok, bersamaan dengan gambar dampak akibat dari merokok, dan ini tidak hanya di Indonesia saja melainkan di seluruh dunia. Lewat pemakaian poster peringatan tersebut hendaknya bisa menambah pengetahuan bagi para perokok aktif akan lebih memikirkan kesehatan dengan pemakaian rokok dalam jangka panjang, dan ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan respon positif terhadap para perokok aktif yaitu lebih memikirkan lagi perilaku merokonya dari kebiasaan buruk merokok. Hal demikian tidak terlepas dari tujuan pemerintah untuk mengurangi jumlah para perokok aktif dan perokok pemula di Indonesia dan salah satunya di Kota Bangkinang.Kata Kunci: Perilaku Sosial, Para Perokok Aktif, Respon, Poster Peringatan

Abstract

In the current era of globalization a human face various challenges to be able to move faster in every respect. Life spins under the influence of science, technology, and rational thinking. Habits slowly began to change and create new habits into one's lifestyle. Each group in a given social structure will have a distinctive lifestyle that has become a symbol of prestige in social stratification. David Chaney (1996: 41) assumes that the lifestyle of a modern world, or it could be called modernity. Or it could be called modernity. The point is that anyone living in modern society will use the idea of the lifestyle to describe his own actions as well as others. Worries many people in our neighborhood who look exclusively on that adequate facilities at high school teenagers will present a hedonistic man, not merely consumptive but also in the utilization of spare time. However, such concerns is inversely proportional to that of the author who saw inclusively lifestyle of students take a private car to school at SMA Islam As-Shofa this. Male and female students at an Islamic school creates its own habits that become a way of life, both in the utilization of the effective time, the use of facilities owned, until the behavior and attitude of daily life. The method used in this paper is a quantitative descriptive. Where all the data collected and grouped according to the group of students and student then explained using figures that later interpreted quantitative descriptive.Keywords: Car, High School Student, Lifestyle

Abstract

This research is to study analyzes the views and strategies of Street Vendors of the demolition carried out by the municipality of Pekanbaru. Is a social phenomenon that occurs in people who have low income as street vendors (Informal Sector) at HR. Soebrantas. The theory used is the theory of perception, rational action and social capital. The data analysis was done by descriptive qualitative data collection techniques in this research is purposive in which the number of informants numbering 10 people consisting of hawkers, pp municipal police and the consumer. From the results of research in the field that the perception of street vendors (Informal Sector) give a good response, demolition is done is correct and good, while the response is not good from the merchant is to say demolition is done is not good because of evictions uneven. Abstract

This study analyzed the changes in socio-economic status in the dusun Sepakat. This phenomenon is a social phenomenon that occurs in people who have low socio economic status change for the better. The theory used is the theory of social change. Data analysis was conducted to address the existing problems in this research is qualitative descriptive approach further analyzed based on the theories in the study and presented in narrative form qualitatively, informants in this study were 8 people consisting of seven heads of families, a man who once served as the village chief. From the results of research in the field that the development of infrastructure such as paved roads and footpaths were carried out to bring change to the socio economic status of people in dusun Sepakat. The construction carried out in the dusun Sepakat going well despite the circumstances dusun located in the middle of the Kampar river and flanked by two bridges Hanging. Social change in the community there are five aspects such as housing, employment, income, area of plantation land ownership and education. Changes in socio-economic status can be seen from the changes in community development efforts such as rubber and oil palm plantation ownership, ownership of shops and small stalls and animal husbandry. The main occupation of people in dusun Sepakat once only as a vegetable farmers, but now turned into rubber and oil palm growers. Land community garden not only in the dusun but there are also outside the dusun.Keywords: Development, Social Change, Socio-Economic Status

Abstract

This thesis is proposed to qualify for a bachelor's degree in sociology. It is titled "Adat Marriage of Kampung Tengah Village Community of Kuantan Hilir Sub-district of Kuantan Singingi Regency". This study aims to find out the functional response of the community about the marriage customs of the villages of central kampong. The marriage custom procedures in Kampung Tengah Village, namely: Introduction of a young man and a young woman, batanyo (enter the cigarette) and the last of the process of getting engaged. The engagement process involves picking up the sign, Tando tand tandus, tando tando, Manjalang fiance or samo then, Marriage or Marriage contract, Bainai, Bagholek / Kenduri, Night fetching husband, Mintuo bitch (visiting in-laws). The theory used in this research is the theory of social and functional change (parson) which includes into: Adaptation (A), Goal Attainment (G), Integration (I), and Latent Pattern Maintenance (L). Technique data collection used is interview and analyze data qualitatively. The result of this research is the functional response of Village Tengah village community to the tradition or custom of marriage that is better and happy with the marriage custom which is now because the first marriage lawfulness adoption now replaced by penghulu.Keywords: Marriage, Functional Response, Customary Marriage

Abstract

This research was conducted in the MA Al-Ihsan Boarding School Kubang Raya, Kampar - RIAU. IBS is Fullday School, learning load settings adjust the allocation of time specified in the curriculum structure. Education program is 54 hours of lessons each week. Every hour lesson duration 45 minutes, so there is a difference of 10 hours of national education standards. 10 hours of lessons are used for extracurricular mandatory 6 JP, 2 JP for extracurricular options, and 2 JP used for self-development (mentoring). The addition of more based on the analysis of global excellence of the school. In the case of the IBS aims to shape the character of their students become the generation that Islamic morals. The purpose of this study is: To determine the IBS method in shaping the personality of students. To determine changes in behavior or personality of students after school at IBS. To find out the student application to the environment or the surrounding community.The samples in this study is the quota sampling technique is a technique to determine the number of samples of the desired population as many as 53 respondents. The method I use in this research is descriptive analysis, which analyzes the data collected, tabulated according to the type of data and present the results of processing the data in tabular form and provide information by linking theory in accordance with the existing problems and menginterprtasikan against relevant results later be concluded.Based on this study, it can be stated that the success of IBS in shaping the personality of students still have not reached as expected. Known from the recapitulation of the 10 sub respondents saying "Yes" as many as 23 respondents or 43.40%. That is yet to reach 50% of students / i grade 2 MA were successfully formed his personality as expected IBS. While respondents expressed sometimes as many as 27 respondents or 50.94%.Keywords: Socialization, Boarding School, Education System
