With this need for proper use and force to study media for students. With modified Banten culture monopoly playing as an alternative to the study media for fourth grade. The method used in this study is a conceptual analysis involving a qualitative approach using ethnographic methods was selected because studies were intended generally to know baduy society and integrate it into a game of antipoppy as a medium of learning using ADDIE model through 5 stages (1) analyze stage, (2) design stage, (3) development stage, (4) implementation stage, (5) evaluation stage, Banten culture based media monopoly is designed according to the need of the learning curriculum, which can increase students' understanding of the space and cultural building in Banten. Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this research is to study ethnomathematics in the calendar system of the baduy tribe. The study of ethnomathematics in our research used ethnography methods. We found a unique pattern in baduy calendar that the first day in the previous month + 2 days after the first day of the previous month equals to the first day in the next month, in which,  it is the reason why baduy people who have no mathematical knowledge from the formal school can predict, for an example,  the first day in the next months.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a form of mathematics based on culture. Through the application of ethnomathematics in education, especially mathematics education, it is hoped that later students can better know and understand our own culture and educators can also more easily instill cultural values themselves in students, so that cultural values that should be part of the nation's character can be embedded early on in students. One of them is by using the traditional game of Congklak. One of the games that can be used in learning mathematics is the traditional game of congklak which is considered suitable in the material of two-dimentional figure where in it’s section there are several shapes of two-dimentional figure, such as circles and rectangles. The game is not only used as a learning medium, but students can get to know more about the traditional game of congklak and so that the traditional game of congklak can continue to be preserved. Schools have a variety of learning media, but not all of these media contain elements of Indonesian culture, especially for mathematics. The researcher also uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach and a descriptive method using the ADDIE teaching material development model to explain the results of the research that has been done. The application of this media is said to have positive results from the field results obtained by researchers and from the results of interviews conducted afterwards. The use of this media can in fact be applied to learning media in the classroom because it’s use is easy and fun for students.

Abstract

Elementary schools in Indonesia have been implementing the 2013 Curriculum by using thematic learning. Teaching material that integrated with values and cultures is really needed since considering the conservative role of the curriculum as a means of relevant values and culture and the evaluative role that supports the choice of values and culture that will be inherited. Local wisdoms have been chosen as an inheritage culture for generations. One of them is the Baduy community in Banten. Baduy is one of unique tribe living in harmony with nature and avoiding the life of the modern world. This research tried to explore how to integrate the local wisdom of the Baduy community into a thematic teaching material. Researchers used qualitative research with ethnographic design with case study method. The data were collected by the triangulation technique and were analyzed using the Spradley model. The result described that the values of the local wisdom of the Baduy community in the form of preserving nature, humility, and mutual cooperation can be integrated into teaching material with through product model. For the maximum results, it can be supported by lesson plan, media, and the teacher's ability to present the teaching materials.
