Abstract

Research is a mandatory task for bachelor, master, doctoral degrees, in completing lectures at various universities in Indonesia. Several approaches in research methods are used by researchers who focus on qualitative research. Each study program has a different perspective on technical research concepts, as well as different methods with different objectives. Researchers characterized by naturalistic characteristics with a subjective perspective become a way to conduct research in the natural realm. Many quantitative researchers are considered unscientific, but by strengthening field data and observations to the point of saturation, qualitative research is valuable and also meaningful. In this study, the case study approach, phenomenology and ethnography will be elaborated in a research context that is relevant to the phenomena that occur today in real life.  Penelitian adalah tugas wajib bagi para sarjana S1, S2, S3, dalam menyelesaikan perkuliahan di pelbagai Universitas di Indonesia, beberapa pendekatan dalam metode penelitian digunakan peneliti yang fokus pada penelitian Kualitatif. Setiap program studi memiliki perbedaan cara pandang pada konsep penelitian secara teknis, begitupun metode berbeda-beda dengan tujuannya yang berbeda pula. Peneliti yang berciri khas naturalistik dengan cara pandang subjektif menjadi cara untuk melakukan penelitian pada ranah alamiah. Banyak peneliti kuantitatif di anggap tidak ilmiah, namun dengan penguatan data-data lapangan dan observasi hingga titik jenuh justeru penelitian kualitatif menjadi bernilai dan juga bermakna. Pada kajian ini, pendekatan studi kasus, fenomenologi dan etnografi akan dijabarkan dengan konteks penelitian yang relevans dengan fenomena yang terjadi dewasa ini dalam kehidupan nyata.

Abstract

Abstract Political communication is not only delivered rhetorically by individuals we know politicians through their words. But there is another aspect that is no less important, namely the aspect of appearance. The character of politicians varies in behavior and styles in political communication. Irreversible Communication, irreversible nature is the implication of communication as an ever-changing process. President Jokowi has a distinctive character in his appearance before the public. Jokowi appeared in front of the public to explain the omnibus law by broadcasting live on the news program Kompas Petang, Kompas TV Television Station. Jokowi's appearance was due to the omnibus law he wanted since he was appointed President in the second period, due to mass demonstrations from various elements, such as masses from the Federation / Confederation of Workers, Students, Academics to other very massive and organized elements of society. The Virtual Ethnography method in this study was chosen because this method is a method that sees how an event is presented to the public by a television news station newsroom on a Youtube account with the aim of providing an opportunity for the government to convey ideas about the Omnibus Law in full, directly conveyed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo. News or releases carried out by the government directly through special news broadcasts on the Kompas Petang emphasize that the President is the originator of the omnibus law, which explains that the omnibus law legal umbrella is a breakthrough for the life of the nation and state in Indonesia, the Undang-undang Cipta Kerja is a good intention Indonesian government.

Abstract

Media sosial sebagai perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, memudahkan manusia pada abad ini untuk berkomunikasi, mendapat informasi lebih cepat dan mudah. Fenomena paham dan informasi bebas, dapat membentuk sudut pandang atau persepsi seseorang. Terkait hal ini, penggunaan media sosial di Provinsi Banten disinyalir terdapat penyalahgunaan yang berakibat semakin bebas penyebaran ide, nilai, norma. Dan disinyalir tidak sesuai dengan nilai yang terkandung dalam Pancasila. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui fenomena ancaman paham dalam media sosial terhadap eksistensi Pancasila di Provinsi Banten. Penelitian pada teori fenomena sosial ini terkait dalam Konstruksi Sosial dari Berger & Luckmann. Metodelogi penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode pendekatan kualitatif dan Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah melalui indeph interview. Keabsahan data diperoleh dengan cara Triangulasi Data. Hasil penelitian yaitu: media sosial saat ini menjadi penunjang dalam melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari, aplikasi media sosial yang sering digunakan adalah WhatsApp, FaceBook, dan YouTube sebagai sarana mencari dan tukar informasi dengan pengguna media sosial lainnya. Namun, sebagaian orang atau suatu kelompok tertentu, menggunakan media sosial untuk melakukan kejahatan dan menyebar paham ajaran yang tidak sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Hal ini menyebabkan terjadinya tindakan yang berujung penghinaan dan pencemaran nama baik, dan dapat terjerat dalam UU ITE. Tentu saja perbuatan tersebut tidak sesuai dengan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam Pancasila. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan model konstruksi sosial menurut Berger & Luckmann, hasil penelitian adalah perilaku pengguna media sosial di Provinsi Banten disinyalir mengancam Pancasila.

Abstract

Background: It is a common fact that the rapid development of technology influenced many aspects of the world, including mass communication. Television, as the most popular and familiar broadcast media in Indonesia, has experienced several changes due to the presence of advanced technology. One of the significant transformations is the transition from analog to digital broadcasting systems. The new era of digital broadcasting could improve the performance and quality of digital television itself. Purpose: This recent study aimed to obtain an overview of the realization carried out by one of the local private broadcasting institutions in Banten, JPM TV. Methods: Using a qualitative case study along with in-depth interviews and observation as data collection techniques, this study examines JPM TV from various aspects in realizing digital TV broadcasts in Banten Province. Results: The study’s findings highlighted that JPM TV strives to realize digital broadcasting by gradually replacing equipment with tools that support digital broadcasting and elements of human resources trained and prepared with special internal and external training. JPM TV also collaborated with LPPM (Mix Broadcasting Organizing Agency), namely Mix Metro TV. The ongoing process is coordinated with the government. Obstacles faced during the migration process are the socioeconomic conditions of the people who have not been able to support the digital broadcasting process, which is characterized by the difficulty of obtaining digital broadcasting at relatively low prices; besides that, it is also necessary to increase the capacity of Human Resources (HR) so that television shows are more comfortable to watch. Implications: One of the implications is that the government must innovate to provide incentives that can stimulate the readiness of the digital broadcasting ecosystem.

Abstract

This study discusses the routine of journalists in producing news in online media that is based on the Pikiran Rakyat Media Network, namely Serangnews.pikiran-rakyat.com and Kabarbanten.pikiran-rakyat.com. the research is motivated by the rise of online media that join in one company carrying the concept of collaborative economy. The focus of the problems analyzed is the process of selecting issues, choosing sources and word selection in news production by journalists, communicative events in the newsroom to the editorial gatekeeping process. The research method used is qualitative research, with ethnographic methods newsroom. Researchers used Shoemaker & Reese's hierarchy of influence theory to find out what influences media content as a result of routines in the newsroom. Determination of informants using purposive sampling techniques. The results obtained that the routine of journalists in producing content is influenced by the level of individuals and media routines. But the most influential factors are at the organizational level. Because it is related to the company's policy to produce content that can generate a lot of good profits for the Serangnews editorial team.mind-people journalists and Kabarbanten.pikiran.rakyat.com as well as for PRMN as the parent company.
