Abstract

Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pendinginan suatu sistim adalah dengan mencoba mengganti fluida kerjanya, yaitu dengan menggunakan nanofluida. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan nanofluida yang dibuat dari campuran air dengan partikel nano Al2O3 dengan konsentrasi sebesar 1%, 2%, 3% dan 4% dalam persen volume. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memodelkan suatu sistem dengan menggunakan software Computational Fluids Dynamic (CFD) yang terdiri dari pemanas berbentuk pipa C sebagai sumber panas di dalam tangki pendingin IRWST dengan nanofluida sebagai fluida pendingin yang dialirkan ke permukaan pemanas. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh distributsi temperatur untuk fluida pendingin nanofluida Al2O3 memiliki temperatur yang lebih rendah dibandingkan tanpa nanofluida. Selain itu juga diperoleh, pada kosentrasi 4% nanofluida Al2O3 memiliki nilai koefisien perpindahan panas 1.12 kali dibandingkan dengan koefisien perpindahan panas menggunakan air, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa nanofluida lebih efektif dipergunakan sebagai fluida pendingin dibandingkan air.

Abstract

Currently, condition of the availability of energy sources derived from fossil fuels which is decreasing and increasing air pollution caused by emissions resulting from the combustion of fossil fuels, then it is time to diversify energy by developing new and renewable energy environmentally friendly by utilizing sources of raw materials derived from vegetable oils, one of them is biodiesel. Biodiesel is produced through an alcoholics’ reaction process between vegetable oil and methanol with the help of an acid or base catalyst. Furthermore, the biodiesel that has been produced is then mixed with diesel fuel in a certain ratio to be used as fuel in diesel engines. Based on the results of the experimental reaction of biodiesel alcoholics with a variable concentration of catalyst against the weight of feed palm fatty acid distillate, the optimum methyl ester result was obtained at 98.65% and the results of the analysis of the alcoholics reaction of biodiesel with the variable ratio of reagents between the weight of methanol to the weight of feed palm fatty acid distillate obtained the optimum methyl ester result at 98.33%.

Abstract

This research aims to discover the effect of probiotics applications on the production revenue and cost efficiency of catfish culture. This research shows that the application of probiotics on the catfish feed can decrease the amount of FCR value, in which the value of FCR with probiotics is 0.96 within 1.11 without probiotics. This result shows that the best productivity of catfish was obtained by application of probiotics with productivity of 8.4 kg/m2, and R/C Ratio 1.35. Moreover productivity of catfish culture without probiotics application is 7.3 kg/m2 and R/C Ratio 1.18. Then the value of productivity based on unit costs produces a value of Rp. 11,176, - while for ponds without the addition of probiotics in the feed of Rp. 12,709, -Production values costs that must be incurred by farmers to produce 1 kg of catfish are lower in aquaculture that uses feed with probiotics so that profits will increase. These results suggested that the farmers can optimizing the use of probiotics to increase feed efficiency from the catfish rearing business without adding other inputs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing preventive maintenance on increasing production productivity in a fish canning company in East Java. This study uses a quantitative method, namely the method used to examine certain populations or samples with data collection techniques carried out through observation and the results of questionnaire answers that have been filled out by employees in the production and engineering departments. The population used in this study is the production machines used to carry out the production process with the samples used, namely production machines of 30 units. Data analysis in this study used SPSS software by conducting hypothesis testing which consisted of a coefficient of determination test (R-square) and a partial t test. Based on the results of the analysis of the calculation of the hypothesis, the t-count value of 10,624 is greater than the t-table value, which is 1,701 and the significance value obtained is less than 0.05, which means that the application of preventive maintenance on production machines has a positive and significant effect on increasing production productivity, while the R-square value obtained is 0.885 which states that the variable of applying preventive maintenance has an effect on increasing production productivity by 88.50% and the remaining 11.50% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the physical work environment and compensation on employee job satisfaction. This research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The sample in this research was 32 permanent employees at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Bandar Lampung Branch. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using Statictical Product Servive Solution (SPSS). The results of this research indicate that: 1) Physical work environment variables partially do not have a significant influence on employee job satisfaction at Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Bandar Lampung Branch, 2) Compensation variables have a positive and significant influence on employee job satisfaction at the Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Bandar Lampung Branch, 3) physical work environment variables and compensation simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on employee job satisfaction at Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Bandar Lampung Branch.
