Abstract

Perkembangan varietas-varietas bawang merah di suatu daerah ditentukan oleh keserasian dengan lingkungan, potensi hasil, toleransi terhadap serangan organisme pengganggu tumbuhan (OPT), serta umur dan mutu hasil. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menguji penampilan beberapa klon bawang merah dan hubungannya dengan intensitas serangan OPT penting. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Brebes dan Tegal (Jawa Tengah) dari Bulan Juni sampai dengan September 2011. Perlakuan yang diuji ialah 10 klon bawang merah hasil silangan tahun 2004 dan 2005, serta dua varietas bawang merah sebagai pembanding (Bauji dan Bima Brebes). Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan ialah acak kelompok dan diulang tiga kali. Parameter yang diamati ialah pertumbuhan tanaman (tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan jumlah anakan), hasil panen, dan serangan OPT penting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa klon no. 2005/1 dapat beradaptasi dengan baik di Brebes dan Tegal, mampu menghasilkan produksi tertinggi masing-masing sebesar 9,95 dan 17,50 t/ha, mempunyai diameter umbi terbesar (1,87 dan 2,41 cm), bentuk umbi bulat, dan berwarna merah tua, sedangkan klon no. 2004/11 mempunyai pertumbuhan dan  produktivitas yang tinggi, relatif toleran terhadap serangan Spodoptera exigua, Alternaria porri, dan Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, diameter umbi (1,67 dan 1,96 cm), bentuk umbi bulat,  dan berwarna merah tua, sedangkan klon no. 2004/10 dan no. 2005/19 sangat rentan terhadap serangan hama S. exigua, penyakit A. porri, dan C. gloeosporioides. Klon-klon yang mempunyai tingkat serangan rendah/toleran terhadap OPT merupakan klon harapan bawang merah toleran/tahan OPT. Namun demikian, penggunaan pestisida sesuai dengan konsep pengendalian hama terpadu (PHT) masih tetap diperlukan terutama apabila serangan OPT tersebut mencapai ambang pengendalian yang ditetapkan. The development of shallots varieties in one location depends on the genetic adaptability, yield potential,  tolerance to pest and diseases, harvest date, yield and quality. The aim of study was to evaluate 10 clones and two local clones as check, Bima Brebes and Bauji were conducted in Brebes and Tegal (Central Java) from June to September 2011. The trial were laid out in a completely randomized block design and each treatment was replicated three times. The parameters used for evaluating these clones were plant height, no. of sprout,  no. of leaves, yield and pests and diseases incidence. The results showed that considering overall performance, clone no. 2005/1 gave the highest yield (9.95 and 17.50 t/ha), and diameter of bulb (1.87 and 2.41 cm) in Brebes and Tegal respectively, clone no. 2004/11 produced growth and good yield  and showed tolerance to Spodoptera exigua, Alternaria porri, and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, bulb diameter (1.67 and 1.96 cm) with dark red color,  while clone no. 2004/10 and no. 2005/19 were identified as the most susceptible clones to S. exigua, A. porri, and C. gloeosporioides. This suggests that some of shallots clones could be good candidates for the new varieties of shallots. However, the use of pesticides in IPM concept were still needed especially if the incidence of pests and diseases reach the action threshold.

Abstract

The purpose of this experiment is to obtain clones of onion that can adapt well in Losar. Ten clones of hybrid onion that has been selected by two local varieties as compares were planted at low elevation of Losari Pabedilan in 16 m asl using Randomyzed Completely Block Design, from June - September 2007. The results showed that clone no. 10 is a clone of onion that can be adapted well and have the appearance of new growth and results in high-Losari Pabedilan Cirebon, are consistent with the expectations of the users who may ultimately be developed commercially. Abstract

This study aims to find the derivative of F1 which will be developed through klon. The research clones carried the glass house Vegetable Crops Research Center of Lembang start March to December 2007. Materials consist of : clone no. 2003/3, klon 2003/5, klon 418, Tiron, Ilokos, SHD, India, Cokol Green, clone no.9, onion leaves and Maja. The final results obtained 1) Plant interest that should be a little late flowering at the age of 30 days after flower plant. 2) Persentase be very low ranging from 5-10%. 3) High rates ranged between 40-50 %. 4) The combination yield obtained from 66 hybrid combinations of F1 seeds weighing an average of 0,1-1,9 grams. Abstract

Persilangan buncis kultivar FLO yang mempunyai hasil rendah dan kultivar Rich Green yang mempunyaihasil tinggi telah dilakukan di Wonogiri , Jawa Tengah dan Lembang, Jawa Barat sejak bulan September 2002sampai bulan November 2004. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mempelajari pewarisan sifat panjang polong.Parameter yang diamati adalah panjang polong. Penelitian dilakukan tiga tahap : (1). Pembentukan F1 yaitupersilangan antara FLO (P1) dengan Rich Green (P2) dan persilangan resiproknya (F1r). (2). Pembentukan F2yaitu dari F1 yang diselfing, pembentukan BC11 yang merupakan persilangan antara F1 dengan P1 danpembentukan BC12 yaitu persilangan dari F1 dengan P2. (3). Evaluasi P1, P2, F1, F2, BC11 dan BC12. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa sifat panjang polong diwariskan secara kuantitatif, dikendalikan oleh banyak gen(poligenik). Nilai duga heritabilitasnya tergolong tinggi dan nilai duga kemajuan genetiknya cukup tinggi. Tidakterdapat pengaruh tetua betina dalam pewarisan sifat panjang polong, Sifat panjang polong dikendalikan olehgen-gen di dalam inti.Kakta kunci: buncis, pewarisan sifat, panjang polong, heritabilitas, kemajuan genetik ABSTRACTCrossing of beans ( Phaseolus vulgaris L ) between FLO Cultivar that have law yield and Rich Greencultivar that have high yield has been done at Wonogiri , Central Java and at Lembang, West Java sinceSeptember 2002 to November 2004. The objective of research was to study the inheritance of pod length .Parameters observed was pod length. The research was done in three stages : (1). Establishment of F1 fromcrossing between FLO (P1) and Rich Green (P2) and its reciprocal crossing (F1r). (2). Establishment F2 fromselfing of F1. BC11 was made from crossing between F1 with P1 and BC12 was made between crossing F1 andP2. (3). Evaluation of P1, P2, F1, F1r,F2, BC11 and BC12. Result of the research showed that Pod lengthcharacter was inherited quantitatively , it was controlled by many genes. The heritability estimate of pod lengthcharacter was categorized of high and the expected genetic advance was rather high. There was no mathernaleffect in inheritance of pod length character. Abstract

UJI PENDAHULUAN KLON-KLON BAWANG MERAH ( Allium ascollonicum L.)First screening at shallot clones (Allium ascollonicum L.) ABSTRACT.Research was canducted same information candidat superior some clone from hibriditation theexperimental, experiment was carried out at experimental garden of districk farmer Kramat-Tegal, Central Java(6 m masl) from April to June 2007. The experiment was arranged. Randomised Block Design (R.B.D) with thosereplication. Clones to experiment contain 13 treatmen, clone 2, clone, clone3, clone5, clone6, clone7, clone11,clone12, clone21,clone24, local cultivity of Bauji, Bima Brebes and Phillipina to control. The result that clone 4to hights potential of product 18,446 ton/Ha, clone 7, clone 11 and clone 21 haved average of bulp diameter2,5cm and clone 3 haves 6 of sprout.Key words: cultivar, first of screening, clone, hibriditation.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan beberapa klon yang dapat beradaptasi tinggi dan berproduksibaik. Materi yang dicoba terdiri dari sembilan perlakuan dan tiga varietas 2003/12, 2003/15, 2003/16, 2003/17,2003/18, 2003/23, 2003/24, 2003/26, 2003/27 serta Betok, Bauji dan Bima Brebes. Rancangan percobaan yangdigunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok masing-masing perlakuan diulang 3 kali. Penelitian dilaksanakandikebun percobaan Balitsa pada ketinggian 1250 m dpl dengan jenis tanah Andosol ph 5,1 – 6,2. Hasil penelitianmenunjukan bahwa klon 2003/18 mampu beradaptasi dengan produksi 6,517 ton/Ha dengan jumlah anakan rataarat8 anakan dan klon 2003/24 dengan produksi 6,317 ton/Ha dengan jumlah anakan rata-rata 9 anakan.Kata kunci : bawang merah, persilangan, klon. ABSTRACTMaterial to fridl nine clonal and tree local varieties to control 2003/12, 2003/15, 2003/16, 2003/17,2003/18, 2003/23, 2003/24, 2003/26, 2003/27 and Betok, Bauji, Bima Brebes.
