Abstract

The focus of this research reveals about the learning experience at one of the Islamic universities in Indonesia, namely UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. This type of research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The collection technique uses interviews, observation and documentation. Interviews were conducted with several lecturers and students to obtain data that can answer the problems of this research. Then we have interview data with in-depth evaluation and interpretation to understand how the learning experience, especially distance learning, and all the problems that arise and solutions are solved. The results showed that the learning experience experienced by students contained challenges and opportunities. The challenge was the sudden closure of face-to-face classes, so there was a lack of preparation in many ways. Meanwhile, the opportunity for academics and students to get used to self-study (an important part of higher education culture) since the lecture was closed, however, distance classes were opened. It is hoped that the results of this study can be useful for many parties, especially in making teaching decisions in universities.

Abstract

Character education plays a vital role in the development of children's mature personalities. The lack of adequate character education strengthening in schools is an issue that requires attention. As facilitators, companions, and sources in the process of conveying knowledge to students about the importance of character education in elementary school, teachers must play a crucial role in the development of children's character. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in assisting elementary schools in implementing strategies for improving elementary school students' understanding of character education in order to provide benefits in terms of understanding the obstacles in the application of character education in elementary schools and strategies that can be implemented, particularly for teacher-student communication. Using a literature review, this study determines the elements and tactics that can be implemented in primary schools to improve character education for pupils. Recommendations were made for schools based on the findings, including employing active learning techniques and incorporating character education values into all learning materials. Reflection and evaluation should also be conducted to assist students in comprehending and improving their character education-related behavior. To reach the true aims of character education, it is necessary to overcome obstacles such as schools' lack of preparedness, educators' lack of comprehension, and ineffective learning techniques.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang card dance sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran seni tari untuk diterapkan pada jenjang pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia. Card Dance adalah hasil pengembangan media pembelajaran yang berupa kartu bergambar tari-tarian yang berasal dari seluruh nusantara yaitu 34 provinsi yang masing-masing provinsi dibatasi 5 tarian. Hal ini untuk memudahkan dalam proses pengembangan media pembelajaran serta penyerapan materi pada mahasiswa yang tidak memiliki basic seni tari sebelumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D (Four D Models) dari Thiagarajan. Untuk pemerolehan data penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode observasi partisipasif dan uji coba lapangan yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kebermanfaatan dari produk. Hasil data dari observasi dan wawancara dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan hasil data dari angket mahasiswa dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Total skor perolehan pada uji coba I sebesar 1297 dengan rata-rata 72 dan prosentase 81.8% sedangkan uji coba II sebesar 1430 dengan rata-rata 79.4 dan prosentase 90.2%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa data uji coba kedua ini menunjukkan hasil yang tinggi/ signifikan dari pada hasil di uji coba pertama, setelah dilakukan perbaikan atau revisi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan jika media tepat untuk membantu mahasiswa dalam proses pengenalan budaya untuk nantinya dijadikan bekal dan diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran seni di Sekolah Dasar. Kata Kunci: card dance, media, pembelajaran, seni tari, pengenalan budaya.
