Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan ingin mengetahuidari tiga skala Work-Family Conflict yang diuji, skala manakah yang akurat dan bebas dari Social Desirability Bias dalam mengukur konflik peran ganda. Pada penelitian ini peneliti ingin menguji tiga alat ukur konflik peran ganda, yaitu Work Family Conflict Scale, The Work-Family Conflict Scale, dan Work-Family and Family-Work Conflict Scale dengan satu alat ukur Social Desirability Bias yaitu skala SDS-17. Penelitian ini memiliki partisipan sebanyak 150 orang yang merupakan wanita yang telah menikah dan bekerja di sektor industri pariwisata dengan masa kerja satu sampai lima tahun bekerja. Penelitian ini mendapatkan bahwa alat ukur yang akurat dalam menggukur konflik peran ganda serta bebas dari Social Desirability Bias adalah skala WFCS dan WAFCS. Dilihat pada hasil korelasi antara WFCS dan WAFCS dengan SDS-17 didapat hasil nilai p= .218 dan p= .078 (p>0,05). Sedangkan WFC-FWC berkorelasi secara signifikan dengan SDS-17. Alat ukur WFCS dan WAFCS juga berkorelasi dengan alat ukur konflik peran ganda WFC-FWC yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini. Artinya, alat ukur WFCS, WAFCS serta WFC-FWC sama-sama mengukur konflik peran ganda.Kata kunci: Konflik kerja keluarga, skala psikologi, bias harapan socialAbstract. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the accuracy of the Work-Family Conflict scale and being free from social desirability bias in order to measure multiple role conflict. This research is expected to determine the appropriate and accurate psychological scale in measuring multiple role conflicts. This study wants to examine three measuring tools for multiple role conflict, namely the Work Family Conflict Scale (WFCS) (Carlson, Kacmar, and Williams, 2000), The Work-Family Conflict Scale (WAFCS) (Haslam, Filus, Mowraska, Sanders and Fletchers, 2014), Work-Family and Family-Work Conflict Scale (WFC-FWC) (Gurcu Erdamar and Husne Demirel, 2013) and with one measure of Social Desirability Bias, namely SDS-17 scale (Stöber, 2001). The study had 150 participants who were married and worked in the tourism industry sector with a working period of one to five years. This study found that an accurate measurement tool in calculating multiple role conflicts and free from social desirability bias is the scale of WFCS and WAFCS. Judging from the results of the correlation between SDS-17 and WFCS and WAFCS, the results of p = .218 and p = .078 (p> 0.05) are obtained. While WFC-FWC correlates significantly with SDS-17. The WFCS and WAFCS measuring instruments also correlate with the WFC-FWC dual role conflict measurement tool used in this study. That is, the WFCS, WAFCS and WFC-FWC measuring instruments both measure multiple role conflict.Keywords: Work-family conflict, psychological scale, sosial desirability bias

Abstract

This study aims to look at the factors that cause work-family conflicts that occur in women, with the teaching profession as well as the demands of being a community in Balinese traditional communities who uphold activities in places of worship or also called awig-awig. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This research is located in Tenganan Village, Pengringsingan Hamlet, Karangasem-Bali, the number of informants is 3 teachers who were born, married and worked in the village. The results of this study explain that the factors that cause conflict are not only intrinsic but also the social environment. Based on the findings of this study, it can be found that Balinese women who are teachers are able to share tasks and responsibilities with other roles as housewives and roles in Balinese society. The time-based conflict factor shows a major influence on women's dual roles and excessive workload on Balinese women because several tasks and roles occur at the same time and must be carried out. So that Balinese women, especially the teaching profession, must be able to divide priority time in a stable manner.

Abstract

ABSTRAKInterpersonal communication adalah komunikasi antar dua individu baik verbal maupun non-verbal yang memberikan atau menerima pesan dan memberikan respon balik dengan adanya pemberian perasaan, dan pemikiran dalam komunikasi tersebut sehingga adanya keterikatan perasaan pada individu yang bersangkutan. Sedangkan human relation (hubungan antar manusia) adalah kemampuan individu dalam berinteraksi dengan individu lain, dimana adanya pemberian dan penerimaan informasi yang saling berbagi pemikiran, perasaan, saling memahami, dan melakukan tindakan bersama. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan ingin melihat hubungan antaran interpersonal communication dengan human relations pada karyawan Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan informasi terkait human relations pada karyawan hotel. Skala interpersonal communication dan skala human relations disusun berdasarkan aspek-aspek dan indikator dari variabel tersebut. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 201 responden dengan kriteria karyawan Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort. Penelitian ini membuktikan adanya hubungan antara interpersonal communication dan human relation pada karyawan hotel ini, dengan arah hubungan positif (p=.778). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ketika variabel interpersonal communication meningkat, maka variabel human relation juga meningkat.Kata Kunci: Hubungan antar manusia, karyawan, komunikasi interpersonal.
