Abstract

The achievement of Mathematics contestants from the City of Makassar is very concerning. In March 2018 elementary school mathematics competition was held. Of the 186 participants from Makassar, there were only 56 students who got scores above zero. Only about 30%. Other students get zero or less than zero (negative). There was a decrease in interest and achievement in Mathematics in elementary school students in Makassar. The solution offered was training for Mathematics Elementary School teachers by emphasizing learning method with playing. This is intended so that children have enjoyed Mathematics from the beginning so that in the future the interest in learning Mathematics will be even greater.

Abstract

This paper aims to determine the total vertex irregularity strength and total edge irregularity strength of Butterfly and Beneš Network 5-Dimension. The determination of the total vertex irregularity strength and the edge irregularity strength was conducted by determining the lower bound and upper bound.  The lower bound was analyzed based on characteristics of the graph and other proponent theorems, while upper bound was analyzed by constructing the function of the irregular total labeling. The result show that the total vertex irregularity strength of Butterfly Network , the total edge irregularity strength . The total vertex irregularity strength of Beneš Network , the total edge irregularity strength

Abstract

Twitter data can be converted into a graph where users can represent the vertices. Then the edges can be represented as relationships between users. This research focused on determining the total edge irregularity strength (tes) and the total vertices irregularity strength (tvs) of the Twitter network. The value could be determined by finding the greatest lower bound and the smallest upper bound. The lower bound was determined by using the properties, characteristics of the Twitter network graph along with the supporting theorems from previous studies, while the upper bound is determined through the construction of the total irregular labeling function on the Twitter network. The results in this study are the tes(TW)=18 and tvs(TW)=16.

Abstract

The number of infant mortality cases is an important indicator to assess the quality of a country's public health. A number of studies argue that the case of infant mortality has a close relation to the living area condition and the social status of the parents. Indirectly, the quality of life of babies in a country will impact the nation's quality of life in general. Therefore, many efforts are required to reduce the infant mortality in Indonesia. One of the steps that could be done to overcome this issue is to analyze the causative factors. The statistical method that has been developed for data analysis taking into account current spatial factors is the Geographically Weighted Poisson Regression (GWPR) with a weighted Bisquare kernel function. Based on the partial estimation with the GWPR model, there are seven groups based on significant variables that affect the number of infant deaths in South Sulawesi Province. Of the seven groups formed, the first group is the Selayar Islands where all variables have a significant effect. This needs to be a concern for the South Sulawesi provincial government to improve facilities and infrastructure in the Selayar Islands, of course the location which is very far from the city center can affect access to drug reception, medical personnel and so on. Based on the results of the analysis of the factors that affect the number of infant deaths in South Sulawesi Province using a negative binomial regression approach and GWPR with a bisquare kernel weighting, it can be concluded that the GWPR model used is the best for analyzing the number of infant deaths in South Sulawesi Province because it has an AIC value. The smallest is 167.668.

Abstract

Maros Regency as an area that often receives Adipura award certificates should have schools that are also capable of achieving the Adiwiyata school title, a program that collaborates education with the environment. However, according to partners, out of 76 junior high schools in Maros Regency, only 5 have received this award. Starting from this, a team of lecturers from the Mathematics, Statistics, and Environmental Engineering study programs in collaboration with the Center for Development and Control of the Sulawesi and Maluku Ecoregions held training and mentoring activities for junior high schools in Maros Regency so that they were able to get the adiwiyata school title. Several aspects of the adiwiyata school assessment include curriculum development and environment-based learning, in this case specifically for mathematics. Organize the management of land, facilities and infrastructure in the environment around the school, in order to create an atmosphere that contributes to the formation of the character of students who are environmentally sound, build an extra-curricular climate that can contribute to environmental conservation, provide creativity and innovation for school residents in environmental protection and management efforts. The target audience for this service are students, teachers, and the junior high school environment in Maros Regency. The training activities was take place at SMP Negeri 16 Mandai, Maros Regency. The methods used include lectures, FGDs accompanied by demonstrations/practices, as well as monitoring and evaluation in class.

Abstract

The Bontang Student Association (HMB) is a regional student organization originating from the City of Bontang, East Kalimantan. By measuring the development of the times that are visible today, designing a system with the right analytical techniques using technology as the foundation will be something that is able to capture the walls that limit everyone's thinking. Therefore, using the website as a forum for gathering thoughts in concluding a solution is the right application of technology for the regional organization. HMB is an organization that functions as a forum for developing the quality and quality of its cadres. To carry out this task, an event was held at this organization in order to gather all the opinions of the scattered cadre representatives to respond to the social problems under review. Solving problems encountered byan organization certainly requires the right solution for the thoughts of its members to be collected and more efficient. So in this service case studywe are trying to design a website to facilitate service to the organization.
