Abstract

The research was conducted in accordance with the phenomenon occurred in Dokkai learning in which the students show lack understanding on reading. The aims of the research are: (1) to obtain clear description of the findings comprehensively about the reality in Dokkai learning of the students of JPBJ FPBS UPI as the learning goals through the story telling approach; (2) to figure out the difficulties and factors influencing the low level of understanding Japanese reading (Dokkai). The population of the research is the third semester students of Japanese Education Department FPBS UPI Bandung as 19 students taken randomly from Chuukyuu Dokkai I course. Qualitative method is employed using quasi experimental design. Thus, in the research, there is no control group as the comparing class. From the result of data analysis, we find that (1) according to the questionnaire result, 90% of the respondents respond that the story telling approach in Dokkai course is interesting; (2) the students must be able to comprehend the reading text and then retell it; (3) the class becomes more active and effective.

Abstract

This research will study the use of “temo ii” of 31 students seventh semester in UPI. This study uses analysis descriptive method by collecting data from students to take 20 questions. It can be concluded that the understanding of the use of “temo ii” of students show good scores about 53,39 % at average. There are three students who get 14 points (70%) which is the highest score. On the otherhand there is one student who gets 5 points (25%) which is the lowest score. Although the result shows they are above average, but some students still missuse the word “temo ii”. Moreover, they think the word “boleh” in Indonesia can be replaced by “temo ii”. However, the word “boleh” can not usualy be defined by “temo ii”.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSebagai pembelajar bahasa Jepang, membaca artikel dalam bahasa Jepang sangat diperlukan, membaca artikel bahasa Jepang selain meningkatkan wawasan tentang perkembangan kehidupan negara Jepang dalam segala bidang, juga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa seseorang. Dalam pembelajaran bahasa Jepang terdapat beberapa keterampilan yang dipelajari, salah satunya adalah dokkai. Dokkai adalah keterampilan memahami teks dalam waktu singkat. Untuk dapat memahami teks dalam waktu singkat dibutuhkan usaha dan langkah-langkah strategis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan antara strategi membaca dengan pemahaman membaca teks dokkai dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan 2 jenis instrumen, yaitu tes tertulis dan angket yang dilakukan pada 20 responden. Dari penelitian tersebut, diperoleh hasil nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,91 yang menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang sigifikan antara penggunaan strategi membaca selektif dengan kemampuan pemahaman membaca teks dokkai dan sebesar 82% tingkat pemahaman membaca teks dokkai dipengaruhi oleh strategi membaca dan 18% oleh faktor lain. Oleh karena itu hipotesis dari penelitian ini diterima bahwa penggunaan strategi membaca memiliki hubungan positif terhadap prestasi pemahaman membaca mahasiswa tingkat II Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang tahun ajaran 2014/2015.  Keyword : Strategi membaca selektif, membaca pemahaman, korelasi  ABSTRACTAs a student of the Japanese language, reading the Japanese article is necessary, read the Japanese article beside to increase knowledge about the development of the life of Japanese nationals in all fields, can also increase a someone’s language ability. In the Japanese language learning skills learned there are several, one of which is dokkai. Dokkai is a skill to understand the text in a short time. To be able to understand the text in the short time it takes effort and strategic measures. This  research was conduted to know is there a significant relationship between reading comprehension text Japanese skill and reading selective stretegies. This research used descriptive method. This research used two kinds of instrument to assemble data, which were questionnaire and test. The data were taken by regration and colleration technique, which was taking data at once in the same time. The participants of the research were 20 students of Japanese Language Departement Indonesia University of Education. From the result, it was found that the correlation coefficient 0,91 which is significant relationship between reading comprehension text Japanese skill and reading selective stretegies and 82% level reading comprehension influenced by selective reading strategies and 18% of another factors. Therefore, hypothesized in this research is recived that used reading selective have a positive relationship with reading comprehension text Japanese skill in 2 level student of Departement of Japanese Language, Indonesia of Education University in academic year 2014/2015. Keyword : corelation between reading selective strategies, reading comprehension, correlation

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of the writing ability Japanese sentences using word flow game technique and how students response about this game technique in Japanese language learning process. This research used true experimental method with control group pretest-posttest design. The sample of the research consists of 32 students of SMK 45 Lembang period 2017/2018, second grade of Tata Busana class and Nursing class, where 16 of them are for experiment class and 16 for control class. The research instruments are test and questionnaire. From the result of the data analysis, the average score of experiment class before the treatment is 37,74 and changed becoming 84,73 after the treatment. With tscore was 4,15 db = 30 in signification degree of 2,04 (5%) and 2,75 (1%). Since the t-score was bigger than t-table, thus the hypothesis is accepted that with using word flow game technique in learning process, student ability to write Japanese sentence become increasing. Based on the result of questionnaire, the writer concluded that more than half of respondents have a thought that word flow game technique is fun and helping in Japanese sentences learning process.

Abstract

AbstraksiKemampuan berbicara merupakan salah satu aspek yang mempunyai peranan penting dalam berkomunikasi sehingga dapat menunjang keterampilan berbahasa khususnya Bahasa Jepang. Namun dalam kenyataannnya keterampilan berbicara kurang mendapat perhatian. Pembelajar bahasa asing menemui masalah pada saat berbicara dalam bahasa yang sedang dipelajarinya. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan teknik pembelajaran yang dapat mengatasi masalah tersebut, salah satunya dengan menerapkan teknik permainan cerita berantai dengan media gambar untuk pembelajaran berbicara Bahasa Jepang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berbicara bahasa Jepang sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya teknik permainan cerita berantai dengan media gambar. Selain itu, untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap teknik permainan tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Dengan menggunakan one group pre-test-post-test design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 20 mahasiswa Tingkat II Departemen pendidikan bahasa Jepang UPI. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan tes dan angket. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diketahui db-19, t-hitung 34.8 dan t-tabel pada taraf signifikan 5% adalah 2,09 dan pada taraf signifikan 1% adalah 2,86. Dengan kata lain t-hitung lebih besar dari pada t-tabel. Sehingga diartikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pembelajaran berbicara Bahasa Jepang sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan teknik permainan cerita berantai. Dengan demikian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan teknik permainan cerita berantai dengan media gambar ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara Bahasa Jepang. Sehingga dari hasil penelitian ini, peneliti merekomendasikan untuk dijadikan sebagai alternatif teknik pembelajaran. Kata kunci : teknik permainan cerita berantai, media gambar, pembelajaran berbicara Bahasa Jepang.  AbstractSpeaking skills is an aspect that have important role in communication in order to support language skills, especially Japanese. Yet, in reality, speaking skill received less attention. Foreign language learners encounter problems when they learn to speak in Japanese. Therefore, an appropriate learning techniques is needed to cope with the problem, one of them is by applying chained story techniques with pictures as the media for Japanese speaking skill education. The purpose of this research are to description of speaking ability before and after chained story techniques with pictures as the media. Beside that, to determine the response of students about chained story technique. The research method that used of this research is quasi experiment. And the design of this research used one group pre-test-post-test design. The sample of this research are 20 university student on the second semester of Japanese Language Education Department. As for how to collect data in this research used test and questionnaire. Based on the result of data analysis that known db-19, t hitung 34.8 and t-table on significant level at 5% is 2, 09 and on significant level at 1% is 2,86. In other word, t hitung greater than t table. Its mean there’s significant difference between the result of Japanese speaking skill education before and after used chained story technique. The conclusion of this matter is the use of chained story techniques with pictures as the media can improve Japanese language speaking skill education. Abstract

Keterbatasan ide/gagasan, kurangnya penguasaan kosakata dan gramatika bahasa Jepang menjadi faktor penyebab pembelajar bahasa Jepang mengalami kesulitan untuk menuangkan dan mengembangkan ide ketika menulis karangan bahasa Jepang (sakubun). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah media audiovisual dapat membantu pembelajar untuk menuangkan dan mengembangkan ide/gagasan ketika menulis karangan bahasa Jepang (sakubun). Pengumpulan dan analisis data diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan One Grup Pre-Test and Post-test Design. Penelitian ini melibatkan 19 orang pembelajar bahasa Jepang yang sedang mengambil mata kuliah menulis tingkat menengah (chukyu sakubun) di salah satu universitas di Bandung.  Instrumen pengambilan data menggunakan tes tulis, observasi dan angket. Dari hasil analisis data terbukti bahwa ada kenaikan nilai rata-rata secara signifikan setelah menggunakan media audiovisual pada pembelajaran sakubun, yaitu dilihat dari nilai rata-rata pretest, 54,5 menjadi 86,1 untuk rata-rata nilai posttest. Selain itu, data angket menunjukkan sebagian besar pembelajar setuju, penggunaan media audiovisual dapat membantu mereka dalam pembelajaran menulis karangan bahasa Jepang (sakubun).

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyse the needs of four primary language skills in developing Japanese teaching materials for tourism purposes. Research data was collected by applying questionnaire and interview method. In Tourism and Marketing Management Study Program - FPIPS UPI, the needs analysis result of Japanese teaching materials for tourism showed the average level of percentage ranging from 4 to 5 by applying Likert scale measurement. Based on the questionnaire conducted to 40 participants, speaking skills showed the highest response rate, both from students and lecturer’s perception. Listening Skills from student’s perception yielded approximately 86% or an average of 4.3, while from lecturer’s perception yielded 90% or an average of 4.5. Meanwhile, speaking skills from student’s perception reach 95% response rate or an average of 4.7, and from lecturer’s perception yielded 100% response rate or an average of 5.0. For the need of reading skills, student’s perception showed 86% response rate or an average of 4.3, and 80% or an average of 4.0 for lecturer’s perception. Further, the need of writing skills yielded 88% or an average 4.4 response rate from the students’ perception, and 80% or an average of 4.0 response rate of the lecturer’s perception.
