Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini bertujuan agar para guru mampu mengelola obat yang tepat dan benar di UKS sekolah-sekolah Muhammadiyah Wilayah DKI Jakarta. Adapun manfaat dari pengabdian ini agar dapat meningkatkan derajat kualitas kesehatan di lingkungan sekolah.  Target yang dicapai adalah peningkatan pemahamam para guru penanggung jawab UKS SD, SMP, SMA wilayah PWM DKI Jakarta dengan cara mendapatkan, menggunakan, menyimpan dan membuang Obat (DAGUSIBU) sehingga dapat meningkatkan derajat kualitas kesehatan di lingkungan sekolah tersebut Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini dilakukan dengan cara yang sederhana yakni dengan metode ceramah (pemberian materi) dilanjutkan dengan tanya jawab dan diskusi. Dengan mengucapkan bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim, kami tim pengabdian masyarakat mengharapkan doa restu agar niat kami dalam pengabdian masyarakat mendapat persetujuan, kelancaran dan kemudahan dalam upaya peningakatan pengetahuan dan pemahamam para guru penganggung jawab UKS SD, SMP, SMA wilayah PWM DKI Jakarta.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Nitroglycerine is a drug of choice in the treatment of angina pectoris. Nitroglycerine has low dose, short time of plasma half life and liver metabolizing. This study used the formulation of microemulsion. The advantages of microemulsion transparent form, stable and has better skin penetration due to the smaller size of its droplet. This study aims at determining concentration of Tween 80 as surfactant as penetration in the nitroglycerine microemulsion. Tween 80 concentrations used were 40% (F1), 42,5% (F2) and 45% (F3). Penetration ability was tested by invitro using Franz diffusion cells. The results showed that 42,5% of the concentration of Tween 80 produces good penetration. F2 shows the measurement result of droplet size is 69,0 nm and diffusion test on the minutes of 180 for 86,00% ± 3,65. It can be concluded that the concentration of Tween 80 as surfactant of 42,5% gives microemulsion nitroglycerine with good penetration.

Abstract

Upaya peningkatan kesehatan bagi masyarakat sangat penting. Hal ini diperkuat dengan dicanangkannya DAGUSIBU (Dapatkan, Gunakan, Simpan dan Buang Obat dengan benar) oleh Ikatan Apoteker Indonesia dan GEMA CERMAT (Gerakan Masyarakat Cerdas Akan Obat) oleh Kementerian Kesehatan Indonesia, agar masyarakat mampu memahami dan dapat melaksanakannya dalam upaya peningkatan kesehatan di lingkungan rumah dan sekolah. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan sosialisasi, informasi, edukasi dan penyuluhan dilingkungan Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah 08 Plus dan 09 Plus Duren Sawit Jakarta Timur. Target yang ingin dicapai yaitu para wali murid dan civitas akademika SD Muhammadiyah 08 Plus dan 09 Plus Duren Sawit Jakarta Timur. Metode yang dilakukan beberapa tahap meliputi : pre test, penyampaian materi pengabdian, simulasi dengan alat peraga, diskusi dan tanya jawab, diakhiri dengan post test. Hasil Pre Test dan Post Test yang diperoleh dianalisa secara statistik menggunakan Uji T-test dengan taraf kepercayaan 95% (α=0,05). Berdasarkan hasil analisa diperoleh hasil yang sangat signifikan yaitu 0,000. Pengolahan data dengan pendekatan secara teoritis dan analisa secara statistik dapat disimpulkan bahwa semua peserta belum mengetahui, memahami dan mengenal DAGUSIBU dan GEMA CERMAT, tetapi dengan adanya kegiatan sosialisasi ini peserta memahami akan pentingnya kesehatan.

Abstract

The use of balm by applying it to the affected part of the body can cause heat and stickiness in the fingers. Making balm sticks is one solution to overcome this problem. Balm sticks are influenced by the components used are oils, waxs and fats. Oils and fats have different fat acid and molecul weight will affect the physical properties of balm stick. Selection of the proper components are excepted to good melting point and hardness and in accordance with requirments. This study aimed at compare of VCO, olive oil and corn oil with variation between Adeps lanae and Vaselin albaon the physical properties of stick balm. All balm sticks prepared by the same method and evaluated included organoleptic test, homogenity, hardness and melting point. The result showed that difference in melting point and hardness, but all formula meet the requirment of physical preparation balm stick. Formula with VCO and Adeps lanae shows higest melting point and hardness. Statistical result of Kruskal Wallis shows sig <0,05 which means that there were difference of each formula. It could be concluded that VCO with Adeps lanae in combination Carnauba wax and Cera alba g a ve a high melting poin , hardenss and yield value.

Abstract

Tobacco extract had been proven to have antimicrobial activity against Streptococcus mutans. To maximize the use of tobacco extract on topical use as an antibacterial, it could be formulated into a pharmaceutical preparation. This study aimed to formulate tobacco extract in gel preparation by using Hidroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) as a gelling agent and to test its activity on S. mutans. The tobacco extract gel was prepared in 3 formulas with variations of HPMC concentration of 1.5% (F1), 2% (F2) and 2.5% (F3). The research began with tobacco extraction, then continued with characteristics evaluation. The extract was formulated in gel form and evaluated for 12 weeks of physical stability. Antibacterial activity was tested using the diffusion method. The evaluation results of tobacco extract gel showed that all formulas were stable during 12 weeks storage. Antimicrobial activity against S.mutans showed inhibitory diameter of F1, F2 and F3, were 9,07 mm, 19,53 mm, and 11,57 mm respectively. The test was continued by determining the relative potential of F2 compared to erythromycin. The test results showed 1.2 x 10-2 relative potential compare to erythromycin. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that HPMC concentration difference did not give significant difference to the physical stability of tobacco gel, with the best antibacterial activity on S. mutans obtained from F2.
