Abstract

This article discusses about the ways how English teacher chooses reading texts for his/ her students. In selecting the texts, teacher pays attention to the words of the texts. The number of function and lexical words of the texts is considered in selecting texts. Function words are such as the, a, an, this, those, that and these. Lexical words are words that refer to someone, things, actions and properties.Key words: texts, function words, lexical words

Abstract

Keluarga berencana yang berkualitas belum sepenuhnya menjangkau seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Di Kelurahan Benteng Pasar Atas terdapat 161 PUS, yang menggunakan KB sebanyak 88 orang dan yang tidak menggunakan KB sebanyak 73 orang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Hubungan Pengetahun dan Tingkat Pendidikan Pasangan Usia Subur dengan penggunaan Alat Kontrasepsi Dalam Rahim. Penelitian ini bersifat analitik dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional, berjumlah 88 orang sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Total Sampling, data analisa dengan menggunakan analisa bivariat, uji statistik Chi-Square dengan menggunakan komputerisasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa 36,4% responden berpengetahuan rendah, 84,2% responden dengan kategori tingkat pendidikan rendah dan hanya 8% responden yang menggunakan alat kontrasepsi AKDR. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan penggunaan AKDR (p = 0,031, p < 0,05) dan tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan penggunaan AKDR (p = 0,308, p > 0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengetahuan pasangan usia subur berhubungan dengan penggunaan AKDR serta tidak ada hubungan tingkat pendidikan ibu dengan penggunaan AKDR. Untuk itu diharapkan peran serta berbagai pihak untuk lebih meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu tentang alat-alat kontrasepsi khususnya AKDR agar ibu termotivasi dan tertarik untuk menggunakan kontrasepsi AKDR.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how the role of individual counseling service to address bullying victims of students SMK Bina Patria 1 Sukoharjo in the academic year 2020/2021. In this research, the researcher used qualitative descriptive research. The subject of this research is the students of SMK Bina Patria 1 Sukoharjo. To collected the data, the researcher used interview, observation, and documentation. Inteview techniques are used to obtain direct data from source and clients. Observation is used to obtain data through observations of clients related to activities carried out by clients, and documentation techniques ia to obtain written data and photographic data of client activities. To get the validity of the data, the researcher used triangulation data and method. To analyzed data, The researcher used data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion. The result of this research is explain how the role of individual counseling service to reduce victims of bullying at SMK Bina Patria 1 Sukoharjo. Seen from the counseling result, students become less frequent and moody anymore, these changes are felt by clients by filling in more useful and positive activities, so the clients can slowly forget the events they have experienced. Beside that, there are also those that cannot be controlled by the client, namely anxiety, restlessness and lazy to come to school, it cannot be practiced by clients because of the situation and conditions during the pandemic. Abstract

English is one of the subjects that the students learn in the school. Although it has been studied since elementary school, English is still one of the subjects that are considered difficult and boring by the students, because English is not their mother tongue. Therefore, teachers in the schools must be creative in teaching English so that the students become interested in learning it. Especially for elementary students, the teachers can teach English by using playing tricks while learning so that it can trigger the students' enthusiasm to learn, so that learning English becomes something fun. One strategy that can be implemented is learning while playing by using Crossword Puzzles. This can add or improve the students' vocabulary in learning English. For this reason, this activity aims to train the students to learn English to be fun by using Crossword Puzzles. The output target of this activity is to help the students in growing their interest in learning English and to help them to improve their English vocabularies in a fun way.
