Abstract

Deficit of current account is a common phenomenon that happens in developing countries, as well as in Indonesia. Since 1960, Indonesia always faced Deficit of current account, except in some years (1974, 1979, and 1980). Although sometimes Deficit of current account is covered by surplus of capital flow, it still gives burden to neraca Pembayaran Indonesia.

Abstract

Keberadaan jasa penilai di Indonesia akhir-akhir ini dirasakan semakindibutuhkan oleh berbagai kalangan usaha. Tetapi harus diakui keberadaan jasa penilai tersebut belum dikenal secara luas oleh masyarakat umum. Maka seiring dengan perkembangan perekonomian Indonesia dan era globalisasi maka sosialisasi jasa penilai perlu dilakukan.Profesionalisai kerja jasa penilai dituntut untuk terus meningkat, agar dapat bekerja secara independen, optimal dan bertanggungjawab. Pendidikan jasa penilai dirasa perlu untuk dikembangkan agar kebutuhan tenaga jasa penilai yang terus meningkat dapat dipenuhi. Maka iklim ini dapat tumbuh dengan baik. Hal ini juga merupakan salah satu solusi untuk menyalurkan tenaga kerja berpendidikan tinggi yang dari tahun ke tahun terus bertambah. Agar beban pembangunan karena adanya pengangguran yang tinggi dapat dikurangi.

Abstract

With the enactment of Law No. 6 of 2014 on the village then became a tremendous opportunity for every village in Indonesia to be able to develop all their potential independently according to the needs of each in order to realize the public welfare. Law number 6 th 2014 Article 4 is to encourage initiative, movement, and the participation of the village community to the development potential and assets for the welfare of the village together; as well as improve the economy of the village community and overcome the gap of national development. But this time there is very little village that is able to develop its potential. It is due to this village for more positioned as the object of development so it relied on the help of the central government. Low creativity of human resources in the village as a result of the development system is centralized in the past resulted in a lot of potential left to rot is not developed to the source of the prosperity of society. In an effort to manage the existing potential, the necessary institutional strengthening through the establishment of institutional capacity building in a professional, efficient, effective and responsible so as to improve the economy of the community and solve the problems of poverty that has been happening.

Abstract

Small Medium Entreprises (SMEs) have contributed significantly in regional and national economics. Stakeholders in the region have much expected that SMEs should play more important role as solution in decreasing unemployment and developing small scale business. Kelompok Makanan Olahan Darma Karya (Darma Karya Processing Food Business Group) in Harjobinangun Village, Pakem, Sleman, DIY is one of small medium enterprises that has been continuously received supervision from the Directorate of Research and Community Service, Universitas Islam Indonesia (DPPM UII). Over the time, the development of this business group have been much progressive. However, this group still need assistance in developing their business, viewing the fact that the business rivalry has been more competitive. In such, it is expected that the business group can further develop and contribute to the economic development in the region of  Sleman. The decision to have a proper marketing strategy is one of the efforts offered by the management and economic experts from DPPM UII in supervising Darma Karya Business Group. This marketing strategy utilizes Grand Matrix SWOT.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Number of Working People (Employment), Economic Growth Rate (EGR), and Investment on Human Development Index (HDI) in Indonesia, partially and simultaneously. This study used investments consisting of Domestic Investment (DI) and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). It used the method of analysis of panel data regression analysis with the data from thirty-three provinces in Indonesia from 2006 to 2013. The results indicate that the employment variables have positive and significant impact to HDI in Indonesia. It shows that EGR does not affect HDI in Indonesia. However, Domestic and foreign direct investments partially have positive and significant effect on HDI in Indonesia. Simultaneously, the variables employment, EGR, domestic and foreign direct investments have a significant effect on the HDI in Indonesia.

Abstract

The first aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the growth rate of GRDP and the growth rate of sectors’ labor absorption in Special Region of Yogyakarta. The second objective was using the Esteban Marquillas’ Shift-Share analysis to prove whether there has been a structural transformation of the economy in Special Region of Yogyakarta during 2009-2014. The third aim was to determine the impact of economic sectors’ growth in Indonesia on the growth of aggregate GRDP in Special Region of Yogyakarta.  Results of this study were: (1) There were three conditions used to observe the relationship between the growth rate of GRDP and the growth rate of labor absorption in Special Region of Yogyakarta namely anomalous, regressive, and progressive. (2) The use of Esteban Marquillas’ Shift-Share analysis showed that in the area of Special Region of Yogyakarta there had been a shift in the economic structure from the primary sector to the secondary and tertiary sectors. (3) The economic sectors’ growth in Indonesia could lead to the growth of aggregate GRDP in Special Region of Yogyakarta as much as 539.53 billion IDR. Suggestions offered by this research are as follows: (1) policy making by the government related to development has to pay attention to the relationship between economic growth and unemployment rate. (2) Government has to address the economic transformation from primary to tertiary sectors, especially for development planning; and (3) government needs to focus on economic development for the dominant sectors of economy in DIY province.

Abstract

Incapability of the Indonesian government to provide sufficient fund for the development process of the country, forces it to get financial support from foreign debts. Statistical figures indicate that formany decades, the amount of the foreign debts raises dramatically. As a result, the-country then is trapped in the very deep foreign debts in which the country is very difficult to escape.
