Abstract

Coban Rondo is a waterfall located in Pujon, Malang, East Java. Apes and monkeys are animals that are most prevalent along the Coban Rondo. Two species of monkeys that inhabit the area Coban Rondo is a long-tailed Macaques (Macaca fascicularis) and monkey (Presbytis cristata). Long-tailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis) monkeys are native to Southeast Asia but is now scattered in various places in Asia. The research focuses on the study of the behavior of long-tailed macaques Length (Macaca fascicularis) and monkey (Trachypithecus auratus) in Coban Rondo, Malang. The method used is observation and interviews with local people. The results showed that the Long-tailed Macaques (Macaca fascicularis) and monkey (Trachypithecus auratus) in Coban Rondo, Malang has a different behavior covering obtain food, residing, and reproduce. Two types of primates that have different behaviors in the same location, but able to coexist.Keywords: behavior, Coban rondo, Macaca fascicularis, Trachypithecus auratus

Abstract

                                                       ABSTRACT Implementation of learning at the university level is expected to be conducted interactively and motivate students to participate actively in learning activities. But the reality in learning, still found learning problems about the low learning activities and student learning outcomes. While as an educator, lecturers should be able to know the problems in the learning process or lectures as an effort to improve the quality of learning. Solution to overcome the problem is by giving learning with Contextual Teaching and Learning approach (CTL) through observation method applied in Basic Ecology subject.The purpose of this research is to improve student achievement in Basic Ecology subject through learning with CTL approach and observation method. Expectations from the results of this study is as an information or input that the strategy and learning model with the method of observation can overcome the lack of activity and low student learning outcomes caused by the dominance of female students and the diversity of high school students so that the classroom climate is often noisy and reduced concentration at the time of learning. This research is experimental research, with one class of experiment of Biology student of FKIP Univet Bantara Sukoharjo second semester of class of 2016/2017 taking Basic Ecology subject. The data were collected using observation and test sheets. Technique of data analysis using T test analysis. From the analysis with T test Paired sample for two groups of dependent or pairs on pretest and postes data obtained Asymp results. Sig (2 -tailled) below 0.05 is 0.00 then Ho is rejected. This means that there are significant differences in learning outcomes before (pretest) and after CTL learning with the method of Observation (postes) in Basic Ecology subject especially on the subject matter of Population and Bird Diversity. Thus, it can be concluded that learning CTL with Observation method can improve student achievement in Basic Ecology subject especially material Population or bird diversity. Abstract

Guided discovery learning is a learning that invites students to actively discover the concept / knowledge through a series of activities. Guided discovery learning can be integrated in teaching modules to make learning more effective and self-reliant. This study aimed to integrate guided discovery learning in spermatophyta module for biology education students. This research is an explorative research with stages include curriculum analysis, subject matter analysis, learning model analysis, and integration of learning model in the Module. Data source in the form of book document, expert opinion, and spermatophyta module. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis result, it is found that guided discovery guided discovery integrated in module include stimulation, problem statement, data collection, verification, generalization . The guided discovery guided synthesis is integrated into 3 subspaces on spermatophyta material 1) classification, determination, and nomenclature of plants, 2) spermatophyta (seed plants); 3) high plant herbarium. Integration of guided discovery learning on unified modules integrated in the module component of learning activities.Keywords: Guided discovery, Spermatophyta Module

Abstract

This article aims to explain an android-based instructional media development procedure to enhance teaching and learning. At present we have entered a new era that demands technological literacy and data literacy, namely the big data era. People also call it an era of disruption 4.0. Some characteristics of this era are big volume, variety, velocity, veracity, and transitory. The ease of access to information brings benefits as well as various risks. Media development procedures can refer to development models that have been created by experts. One model that can be used is the ADDIE (Analiyz, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) model. Regarding the procedures of developing android-based instructional media will be explained further in Chapter III. The discussion, conclusions, and recommendations contained in this article can be used as consideration for developing or using android-based instructional media, both at school and in college.

Abstract

This study aimed to know effectiveness of the use of molecular biology module based on learning cycle 7E to empower the thinking ability (cognitive) of biology education students. The study type was quasi experiment with one group pretest postes design, using one class that was experiment (implementation of module). The experimental class was treated with pretest and postes. Data obtained were data of students' thinking ability and data source obtained from biology student of Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo University. The data was analyzed by inferential statistics. Measurement of students' thinking ability before and after the implementation of module was calculated with N-Gain. The data of thinking ability was also analyzed using t test paired sample, preceded by homogeneity and normality test. The result of this study showed that the improvement of thinking ability from pretest and posttest score after N-Gain tested, the students got N-Gain score 0.75-1 as many as 7 people with high category, N-Gain score 0.31-0,70 as many as 11 people was categorized moderate and N-Gain score from 0.07-0.10 as many as 4 people with low category.  Pretest and postes score of students' thinking ability then tested of homogeneity and normality showed that the data was normall and homogeneous so that it continued with t paired sample test. T test Paired sample obtained Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailled) below 0.05 0.000, it can be concluded that there were significant differences between prestes and postes students' thinking ability. It shows that the use of molecular biology module based on learning cycle 7e effectively empower the thinking ability of biology students.

Abstract

Kawasan Wisata Alam Pura Wonogiri Muncar memiliki beragam flora, termasuk pakis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman pakis dan hasil penelitian tersebut diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu sumber pembelajaran biologi untuk SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Purposive Sampling dengan sistem penempatan stasiun dan plot sesuai dengan lokasi lokasi penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 21 jenis pakis (Pteridophyta), di Kawasan Wisata Alam Candi Muncar, terdiri dari tiga kelas, yaitu kelas Filicinae, kelas Equisetinaceae dan kelas Lycopodiinae. Hasil validasi modul "Tumbuhan Paku (Pteridophyta)", diperoleh skor akhir dengan rata-rata 45,22 (skala 56) dengan nilai persentase 81%, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran biologi "Tumbuhan Paku (Pteridophyta) "dinyatakan memenuhi syarat sangat baik, digunakan sebagai modul pembelajaran biologi SMA.Kata kunci: keanekaragaman pakis, modul pembelajaran biologi, kawasan wisata alam candi Muncar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Biologi Pada Siswa Kelas X IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Tawangsari Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018.Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi/ pengamatan, tes/ teknik penilaian, dan dokumentasi. Setelah diadakan tindakan kelas, pada siklus I hasil belajar kognitif sebesar 57%, aspek afektif sebesar 41% dan aspek psikomotorik 33%. Dari siklus I ketuntasan belajar dari aspek kognitif, aspek afektif dan aspek psikomotorik belum memenuhi kriteria tuntas, perlu dilanjutkan ke siklus II. Pada siklus II hasil belajar kognitif sebesar 71%, aspek afektif 46% dan aspek psikomotorik 51%. Pada siklus II telah mengalami peningkatan, tetapi hasil belajar kognitif dan aspek afektif belum mencapai ketuntasan, maka dilanjutkan pada siklus III. Pada siklus III mengalami peningkatan dengan hasil belajar kognitif sebesar 77%, aspek afektif 60% dan aspek psikomotorik 66%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model PBL disertai mind mapping dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar Biologi, Mind mapping, Problem Based learning (PBL).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui indeks keanekaragaman dan kemelimpahan serangga di Hutan Bromo Karanganyar, mengetahui faktor biotik dan abiotik apa saja yang mempengaruhi keanekaragaman dan kemelimpahan serangga dan untuk  memperoleh salah satu alternatif sumber belajar biologi di SMA khususnya tentang Keanekaragaman hayati. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Maret- April 2016 di Hutan Bromo Desa Sinongko Kelurahan Gedong Kabupaten Karanganyar dengan menggunakan metode estimasi populasi Lincoln- Peterson dan menghitung langsung. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan penangkapan dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dengan tiga cara yaitu mendiskripsikan cirri-ciri serangga, menghiting INP dan H’. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keanekaragaman serangga di Hutan Bromo Kabupaten Karanganyar termasuk dalam kategori sedang yaitu berada pada 1,5³H’³3,5.  Indeks kemelimpahan serangga (INP) tertinggi terjadi pada penelitian pagi hari yaitu ordo Collembola pada genus Entomobrya dengan nilai 19,14, sedangkan terendah pada pagi hari yaitu ordo Dermaptera pada genus Euborellia dengan nila 6,1. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan di Sekolah Menengah Atas sebagai salah satu alternative sumber belajar biologi tentang Keanekaragaman khususnya tentang insekta.Kata Kunci     : Keanekaragaman, Kemelimpahan, Serangga, Sumber Belajar biologi.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Biologi melalui model Problem Based Learning pada siswa kelas X MIPA 3 SMA N 1 Jatisrono Tahun pembelajaran 2017/2018. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar Observasi, metode tes, dan dokumentasi. Indikator kinerja pada aktivitas individual mencapai ≥73,07% sedangkan hasil belajar siswa  secara klasikal mencapai ≥ 88,46 %. Aktivitas siswa pada keterampilan (Psikomotor) di siklus I, II, dan III yaitu (38,46%,69,23%,84,61%) dan sikap (afektif) untuk siklus I, II, dan III yaitu  (46,61%,61,53%,88,61%), peningkatan aktivitas siswa siklus III suadah mencapai indikator kinerja keberhasilan ≥ 73,07%. Hasil penelitian siklus I ketuntasan belajar siswa yaitu 65,38%. Pada siklus II ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 76, 92%. Pada siklus III ketuntasan belajar siswa 92,30%. Hasil belajar sudah memenuhi nilai KKM dan mencapai indikator kinerja keberhasilan ≥ 88,46%. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning ini dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dan hasil belajar biologi siswa.Kata Kunci: Aktivitas Belajar, Hasil Belajar, Model PBL

Abstract

This study aims to increase creativity and learning outcomes of biology in class X MIPA State Senior High School with problem-based learning model in biology learning. This research is classroom action research carried out in 3 cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 stages; planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this research were 36 students. The data in this study are creativity and student learning outcomes. Creativity data is measured by Mind Mapping observation sheets and cognitive learning outcomes data is measured by test questions at the end of each cycle, affective learning outcomes are measured by attitude assessment observation sheets, psychomotor learning outcomes are measured by skills observation sheets. Data on creativity and cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning outcomes were analyzed using the percentage technique and then described comparatively for each cycle. The results showed that there was an increase in creativity in the first cycle of 42%, the second cycle 55% and the third cycle 78%. While cognitive learning outcomes in cycle I 66%, cycle II 72% and cycle III 88%, affective learning outcomes in cycle I 41%, cycle II 63% and cycle III 74%, psychomotor learning outcomes in cycle I 36%, cycle II 50 %, cycle III 69%. The research data shows that the application of the Problem Based Learning model with YouTube can improve creativity and student learning outcomes. The increase in creativity occurred in cycle I to cycle II 13%, cycle II to cycle III 23%. Cognitive learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II 6%, cycle II to cycle III 16%, affective learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II 22%, cycle II to cycle III 11%, psychomotor learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II 14 %, cycle II to cycle III 19%. PBL activities such as dealing with problems, analyzing and solving problems so as to make students creative in compiling works in the form of Mind Mapping and increasing cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning outcomes.
