Abstract

This research was carried out in Letbaun Village, Semau District, Kupang Regency. In August-September 2022. The research aims to determine (1) the size of farmers' income and (2) the feasibility of rice farming in Letbaun Village, Semau District, Kupang Regency. Data was collected by interviewing 60 farmers (Census). Data analysis was carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner. The results showed that the average income of the respondent,s pet rice farming in Letbaun village, Semau district was of IDR .6,488 148.75, while the income per hectare received by respondent farmers was of IDR.10.191.439. Rice farming in Letbaun Village, Semau District, Kupang Regency worth cultivating with and R/C Ratio of 3.64. Rice production is greater than BEP production (76697 kg > 21,080kg) and the rice price of IDR 7,000/kg is above the BEP price of IDR. 1,924/kg.And the results of the research, rice farming in Letbaun Village, Semau District, Kupang Regency, is feasible to work on.

Abstract

Corn development is part of the flagship program of the NTT provincial government known as the Cattle Harvest Corn Planting Program (TJPS) to increase corn production, cattle population, cattle population, welfare of farming families and breeders. This study aims to: 1) determine corn cropping program for cattle (TJPS) in Manusak Village, Eats Kupang District, 2) determine the sustainability of the corn cropping program for cattle (TJPS) in Manusak Village, East Kupang District form the economic, socio – cultural, technological, resource dimensions natural resource and institutional dimensions, 3) formulate the direction of development of the cow harvest corn panting program (TJPS) in Manusak Village, East Kupang District. Location determination is done deliberately. The population in this study were 40 members of the Farmer’s Group who participated in the TJPS program. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. The analytical method uses descriptive quantitative analysis and RAPTJPS-multidimensional scaling (MDS). The resulst of the study show that: 1) the cow harvest corn planting program (TJPS) is one of the programs run by the NTT provincial government that has been implemented and has helped the farmers’ economy. 2) the sustainability of the TJPS program produces a sustainability index of 55% wich is included in the fairly sustainable category. 3) Leverage/sensitive factors that are a priority to pay attention to regarding the direction of the TJPS program development in Manusak Village are increasing the provision of water for irrigating corn and the need to increase the utilization of cow dung into organic fertilizer.

Abstract

The decline in the quality of agricultural land due to residues of synthetic chemical inputs is a serious problem being faced in agricultural development in Indonesia. Starting from these problems an important issue of sustainable agricultural development is organic farming. This research has been carried out on CV. GS Organic in 2023, with the aim of a) describing the process of adopting organic farming innovations at CV. GS Organic, b) describes the internal factors and external factors that influence the adoption of organic farming innovations in CV. GS Organic, c) describes the type of organic farming decision making in CV. GS Organic. This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection methods are by observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data analysis method uses the interactive Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the factors that determine the adoption of innovation in CV. Organic GS is the initiative of the farmers themselves, as well as the factors that influence farmers' decision making, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal Factors: a) Cosmopolitan Level, b) Motivation. External Factors: a) Reference Group, b) Sources of Information, c) Characteristics of Innovation. Farmers' perceptions of the characteristics of innovation that determine innovation adoption are relative advantages from an economic standpoint, advantages from a social prestige perspective, relative advantages from a convenience standpoint, conformity with espoused values, conformity with prevailing norms, conformity with farmer's needs, trialability (Triability). in a small area, ability is observed from technical advantages, ability is observed from the point of view of economic advantage. The type of decision made on the CV. Organic GS in making decisions, namely optional decisions.

Abstract

The profit of shallot farming is not only determined by production but also by the pattern of marketing channels used by farmers. This study aims to determine the marketing function, marketing channels, marketing costs, farmer share, and marketing efficiency level. The research data were obtained by conducting interviews with 20 respondent farmers and 17 traders. The research method used a qualitative descriptive analysis method using predetermined equations. The results showed that there were two shallot marketing channels, namely marketing channel I covering farmers - Kupang City Market retailers - consumers and marketing channel II covering farmers - intermediary traders - Soe retailers - consumers. The total margin on marketing channel I is Rp. 2,000 / kg. farmer share is 2.27%. Marketing channel II total marketing margin of Rp. 6,000/kg, and farmer share of 38.33% The most efficient marketing channel is marketing channel I with an EP value of 12.50%.
