<![CDATA[Abstract Institutions of courses and training which are included in the type of non-formal education in the midst of the rapid development of information and technology, are required to adapt to technological developments and the needs of society. One form of innovation is to utilize information and communication technology in the provision of courses and training services using the LAO-based Android application. The results of the validation of the manuscript of this model in terms of all aspects of the format are stated to meet the validity criteria and the value of the degree of reliability is declared reliable, then the results of empirical tests conducted in several courses and training institutions scattered in several other districts / cities, can be briefly described that The level of satisfaction of respondents with the LAO-COURSE Program Model is very high, Providing alternatives for the community and students to take courses at the institute of courses and training through the LAO-COURSES Application, the community is more Active in finding the desired course institutions, Facilitating the Community to see data LKP and Course packages are offered to the community and students. Abstrak Lembaga kursus dan pelatihan yang termasuk jenis pendidikan nonformal di tengah pesatnya perkembangan informasi dan teknologi, dituntut untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan perkembangan teknologi dan kebutuhan masyarakat. Salah satu bentuk inovasi adalah memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi pada penyelenggaraan layanan kursus dan pelatihan dengan menggunakan aplikasi LAO-Kursus berbasis android. Hasil validasi ahli naskah model ini ditinjau dari seluruh aspek format dinyatakan memenuhi kriteria kevalidan dan nilai derajat reliabilitasnya dinyatakan reliable, kemudian Hasil ujicoba empirik yang dilakukan yang dilakukan dibeberapa lembaga kursus dan pelatihan yang tersebar di beberapa kabupaten/kota yang lain, dapat digambarkan secara singkat bahwa Tingkat kepuasan responden terhadap Model Program LAO-KURSUS sangat tinggi, Memberikan alternatif bagi masyarakat dan peserta didik untuk mengikuti kursus pada lembaga kursus dan pelatihan melalui Aplikasi LAO-KURSUS, masyarakat lebih Aktif dalam mencari lembaga kursus yang diinginkan, Memudahkan Masyarakat untuk melihat data-data LKP dan paket-paket Kursus yang ditawarkan kepada masyarakat dan peserta didik.]]>

<![CDATA[The objective of this research is to find out whether or not song lyric media increase students’ listening skill. This research is a pre-experimental design with one class experimental. The researchers choose class 7A as the sample which consists of 26 students, 11 male and 15 females. The researchers use purposive sampling technique because from the class has the most active students in daring class. The pre-test and post-test consist of 30 numbers contains 20 words to translate and 10 words to match meaning that represent noun, adjective and verb. The results of pretest show that the mean score of pre-tests is 44.19 with standard deviation 11.35 and standard error 2.23. There are also 2 students classified into fairly category,3 students classified into poor category, 21 students classified into very poor category. The classification shows that students still have lack of vocabularies, because they are still beginner in learning English. In contrast, the results of posttest show that the mean score of 26 students in post-test is 82.04 with standard deviation 6.71 and standard error 1.32. There are 5 students classified into very good category, 19 students classified into good category, and 2 students classified into fairly category. In addition, the t-test value is higher than t-table value (27.474>2.059). It means that the nursery rhyme videos increase students’ vocabulary mastery.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe students’ perceptions of the use of Google Classroom in the learning English process. The researchers applied qualitative methods to achieve the research objectives, the data collected in this research were in the form of interviews. The subjects of this study were students in the third grade of SMA NEGERI 2 BONE. The interview sample was 20 students, using voluntary sampling technique. In this study, researchers analyzed the data by understanding, compiling codes, looking for themes and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the study, the researchers found that students' perceptions of the use of Google Classroom in learning process as a flexible, efficient, effective media and interaction between teacher and some of students continued smoothly learning process. Although, cheating is still common due to lack of control, but Google Classroom has features that can overcome this. Most of the students in this study agreed that Google Classroom were effective when used for Learning process.]]>

<![CDATA[The objective of this research was to see the utilization of presentation activities in online speaking class. Pre-experimental design was adapted in this study. The respondents in this research were students in the eleventh grade at SMA Negeri 4 Sidrap academic year 2021//2022 through random sampling technique and XI IPA 1 was selected as the sample of this research. The instrument of this research was speaking test which was delivered as pre-test and post-test. The result shown that the utilization of presentation activities was significant to improve students’ speaking performance. It was proved that the students’ mean score of pre-tests was 5.72 and the students’ mean score of post-tests was 7.31 with percentage 28% of improvement. It could be concluded that the utilization of presentation activities in online speaking class can improve students speaking performance.]]>

<![CDATA[The aims of this research were: (1) to find out how the students perceive the use of a lecturer’s bilingual approach in ICP chemistry education during the covid-19 restrictions; (2) and to find out how the lecturer applies the bilingual approach in ICP chemistry education during the covid-19 restriction. This research used a qualitative method. The participants in this research were 14 students of the 3rd-semester ICP chemistry education, State University of Makassar. The instrument of the research was an interview that was conducted online. The results of the research showed that (1) the students perceived that the lecturer’s use of the bilingual approach in ICP chemistry education during the covid-19 restrictions was favorable; and (2) the lecturer applied the bilingual approach in written English, spoken English, and bahasa Indonesia. The written English is used in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation, spoken English when the lecturer explains the material, and starts using bahasa Indonesia when the students cannot understand the English explanation. However, the dominant language that the lecturer used is bahasa Indonesia. There is no different method that the lecturer uses in applying a bilingual approach in ICP chemistry education during the covid-19 restriction]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe students‘ perceptions of the use of Google Meet in learning the English process. This research took place at the State University of Makassar. The population of this research was the student of the State University of Makassar. The researcher used the interview as an instrument to obtain the data. Based on the result of the study, the researchers found that the students show a positive and negative attitude toward video conferencing through Google meet in the learning process. The positive attitude shown by the students is: showing their readiness to engage during video conferencing, showing enthusiasm for a range of movements during video conferencing, developing their skills to utilize the learning tools, and showing respect and appreciation the others’ ability and disability. While the negative attitude was the students don’t attend class and did not participate in the group project as well, and also if they cannot speak as well during video conferencing, they wouldn’t participate in the class, they decided to keep silent and not follow the instruction from the lecturer.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to find out the development of vocabulary mastery by using a story' retelling technique. The researchers used a quantitative method with a pre- experimental research design and used cluster random sampling. The sample of this research is class X MIPA Tahfidz, with 34 students. The instrument used is a vocabulary test (pretest and post-test) that aims to obtain data in this research. The results of the data analysis showed that with the use of story' retelling techniques, students' vocabulary mastery increased. It can be proven by the t test value was lower than P (0.000 ˂ 0.05), which means (H0) of this research was rejected and (H1) was accepted. Therefore, it is concluded that the use of the story' retelling technique can develop the vocabulary mastery of the tenth-grade students of SMAN 6 Wajo.]]>

<![CDATA[The aims of this study are to determine the vocabulary mastery and the ability to translate of junior high school students in Pangkep also whether vocabulary knowledge and translation competence are linked. This study employed a quantitative approach. This article only contains the third research question. The data of this research was collected through a test. Cluster-stratified random sampling was used to obtain the sample. In this study, 108 seventh-grade students in Pangkep were recruited from three accredited schools: SMP 1 Pangkajene, SMP 3 Bungoro, and SMP 5 Bungoro. The Pearson correlation results for vocabulary mastery and translation ability at A-certified schools are 0.653, which is 0.61-0.80, indicating a high correlation. Pearson correlation -0.595 is in the interval 0.41-0.60 for accredited B schools so that the correlation is obtained, and 0.112 is in the interval 0.00-0.20 for accredited schools so that no correlation is found.]]>

<![CDATA[The objective of this research was to find out whether or not the use of humor stories in teaching reading improves students’ reading comprehension. This research took place at MTs Negeri 1 Sidrap. The population of this research was the third-grade students of MTs Negeri 1 Sidrap. The researchers used cluster random sampling technique in selecting samples. These researchers used pre-experimental design. The instrument of this research was a reading test which administered as a pretest and posttest. Based on the result of mean score, the researchers found that the use of humor stories in teaching reading comprehension improves because it was found that the post-test score is higher than the pre-test (78.2 > 85.0). So, it can be concluded that the use of humor stories improves students reading at MTs Negeri 1 Sidrap academic year 2021/2022.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of flashcards media strategy in improving young learners’ vocabulary in the 7.2 class of SMPN 30 Makassar as a sample of this study. The method of this study used a quantitative method and a pre-experimental research design. The instrument of this study was a vocabulary test. The given tests to the students were pre-test-post-test vocabulary tests. The tests contained 50 items of each digital and non-digital flashcards, those included 3 association flashcards which were Animal, Fruit, and Transportation. It was formulated in multiple-choice and matching items to find the words or picture meaning, true or false to identify the use of words in a sentence, and essay to write the words correctly. As the result of this study, the first null hypothesis (H01) was rejected and the first alternative hypothesis (Ha1) was accepted, the value of Sig. (2-tailed) P = 0.000 less than α = 0.05 was obtained for both pre-test-post-test of digital and paper flashcards media strategy. Otherwise, the second null hypothesis (H02) was accepted and the second alternative hypothesis (Ha2) was rejected, the value of Sig. (2-tailed) P = 1.000 higher than α = 0.05 was obtained for both post-test-post-test of digital and paper flashcards media strategy. To be concluded, the flashcards media strategy was effective to improve young learners’ vocabulary for both digital and paper flashcards media strategy. Both of them were equally effective to improve young learners’ vocabulary in the 7.2 class of SMPN 30 Makassar.]]>
