Abstract

Plant layout or facilities layout is to fix regulate facilities layout with consider material handling flow. In this research on Bamboo Furniture Industry Karya Manunggal Yogyakarta show less precisely placement of production facilities and flow material resulting in the total distances of material handling becomes long and induce the total cost of material handling becomes high.Improvement of facilities layout performed with qualitative methods ARC (Activity Relationship Chart). This matter do for obtain a new layout with minimum total distances of material handling and minimum total cost of material handling. In this research use POM QM Software for validating total distances of material handling.Analysis result and designing facilities layout is a new layout with Rectilinear Distance method, The initial movement distances is 1.922,9 m become 1.832,35 m or have a reduction distances 4,94 % from initial layout. While for the initial total cost of material handling is Rp 200.135,6 become Rp 199.745,9 or have a reduction cost 0,19% from initial layout. Existence a new layout based on ARC be expected on the production floor of Bamboo Furniture Industry Karya Manunggal Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The creation of a good product PT. DIRGANTARA INDONESIA assisted with production machines, one of which is the machine CNC MACHINE (DOUBLE CINCINNATI Milacron gantry ALUMINIUM TYPE-F), the role of a machine type-f CNC machine itself is very influential in the existing production process at PT. DIRGANTARA INDONESIA. The lack of treatment systems for the repair and replacement of components caused because the machines that is already beyond the age of many techniques, resulting in the production of the company to become unstable.In this study used methods Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and the concept of autonomous maintenance and using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to determine analyze potential errors or failures, it is advisable to keep using autonomous maintenance as minor maintenance.            Analysis and discussion of the results obtained OEE decline in 2014 to 2015 is 86.15% to 75.62% drop is due to the low value avalaibility, and get the highest objective value RPN 441 on a 40 point damage to component Servo Off. Solutions to make improvements to enable the Total Productive Maintenance in which includes Autonomous Maintenance. Keywords: Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Efectiveness (OEE), Autonomous Maintenance, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

Abstract

Suppliers are sources providing the first material where the chain of goods distribution will start. Nowadays, the method of making decisions on the supply of bamboo raw materials for UKM Karya Manunggal is by conventional (intuition), so that it is often inappropriate in selecting the suppliers. Along with the increasingly fierce level of competition in the field of bamboo furniture, Karya Manunggal needs to review the strategy in the competition and to evaluate the ability of suppliers who are the main raw material providers. Therefore, the authors conducted a study that can be used by companies to measure the weight of each supplier by applying the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method. The Analytic Network Process (ANP) method was used to determine the ratio of the inner dependence and the outer dependence and the feedback. There were 7 criteria which were divided into 14 sub criteria and 6 alternatives used in this study. The final result was Arista Bambu with a weight of 0.2327, followed by Pak Wagiyo with 0.2106, Pak Paimin with 0.1737, Pak Gianto with 0.1506, Pak Tofa with 0.1217, and Pak Manto with 0.1107 . This study was assisted by using Super Decision Software, Microsoft Excel.

Abstract

Most of the black tea production in Pagilaran Batang Production Unit is to meet the demands of consumers from abroad. Because of the abundant requests from abroad, the quality of black tea product must be always controlled, therefore it is necessary to conduct a Multiple Linear Regression Analysis of the tea shoots to find out the most affecting factor of the tea shoots quality so that the quality of contributing factors of highest First Grade black tea product can be identified. The methods used in this study was Multiple Linear Regression Analysis and Multivariate Analysis where the Multivariate Analysis was the Factor Analysis. In addition to determine the regression equation, classical assumption test calculations (normality test and heteroscedasticity test), correlation coefficient, determination coefficient, F hypothesis test and t hypothesis test were administered to find the most affecting  factor of the tea shoots quality. From the results of the analysis and discussion on the calculation of multiple linier regression in each garden (y1, y2, y3) it was obtained that the most affecting factor was fertilizer with a value in Afdeling Pagilaran (y1) of – 1415,934 , Afdeling Andongsili (y2) of – 265,858 and Afdeling Kayulandak (y3) of 225,589. Then on the calculation of multiple linier regression in each garden (y1, y2, y3) after summarizing the variables it was obtained that the most affecting factors in Afdeling Pagilaran (y1) was a Trip Pest with a value of - 53,741 , Afdeling Andongsili (y2) was fertilizer with a value of - 46,301 and Afdeling Kayulandak (y3) was fertilizer with a value of 213,073

Abstract

The current industrial development is required to improve the quality of production by continuing to improve the production process in order to continue to compete in the market, both locally, nationally and internationally. This demand also applies to small and medium industries that have limited capital, labor, land and technology. UKM Karya Manunggal is a small business unit that is engaged in making furniture made from bamboo. Problems of SMEs with available land, most areas are used for placement of work in process and placement of materials that should not be used so that it can disrupt the smooth movement of material movement. Mapping the real conditions of Karya Manunggal UKM by using ProModel software can know the description of material handling, input output from each work station and work in process. The closeness relationship between work stations in the initial conditions compared to using Activity Relationship Chart (ARC), resulted in a distance difference of 90.55 meters or changed by 4.94%. The output of a computer simulation results in a change from one process to another that changes. Initial conditions for raw material operators were 99.4% to 59.2%. The operator of the initial condition pattern was 21.9% to 21.2%. The rattan operator had initial conditions of 7.3% to 4.6%. Operators finish initial conditions 2.7% to 2.3%

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in aircraft MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Repair) services by providing integrated solutions for all of its customers. Unit Learning Services at PT. XYZ has the task of organizing education and training. In accordance with the plan of PT. XYZ, Learning Services Unit is focused on preparing to spin off to become a subsidiary engaged in the Provider of Training. This study aims to determine what kind of subsidiary business model will be created using the canvas business model and conduct a business feasibility study, whether it is feasible or not. The results of this study are based on the canvas business model which has the following proposition values: (1) Highly qualified instructors with years of experience in aircraft maintenance; (2) Aircraft access for training; (3) Spacious classrooms including ACT instructors for Airbus qualified training classes; (4) Adjustable training for customer needs; and based on aspects that are processed for the establishment of a subsidiary is declared feasible.

Abstract

Kabupaten Sleman di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta memiliki potensi pengembangan industri kerajinan berbahan baku bambu. Hal ini didukung dengan banyaknya industri kerajinan bambu yang berada di wilayah Sleman dan budi daya bambu sebagai solusi kontinuitas pengadaan bahan baku bambu. Persaingan yang tinggi menuntut industri kerajinan lebih mempertimbangkan kriteria-kriteria dalam pembelian bahan baku. Banyaknya Supplier menjadi pertimbangan Industri dalam menentukan pilihan dalam memenuhi kriteria pengambilan keputusannya.Sehinggamampumeningkatkandayasaing UKM denganmeningkatkankualitas proses pengadaanbahanbaku. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan daya saing UKM adalah penentuan kriteria pengambilan keputusan dalam memilih Supplier. Kualitas bambu yang ditawarkan, biaya pembelian bambu, proses pengiriman bambu dan respon dari supplier bila ada keluhan dari industri. Kriteria-krietia tersebut menjadi pertimbangan penting bagi UKM dalam mengambil keputusan. Penentuan criteria dan penentuan bobot prioritas criteria dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner.Kuesioner perbandingan berpasangan sebagai instrument dalam metode AHP dibandingkan dengan metode Fuzzy AHP untuk mengurangi subyektifitas. Proses wawancara yang dilakukan sebagai bahan dalam menyusun Standart Operation Procedure (SOP) pengadaan bahan baku dan Prosedur Pemilihan Supplier. Hasil pengolahan data perbandingan berpasangan menggunakan AHP, bobot prioritas kriteria tertinggi adalah criteria Kualitas dengan nilai 0,465 dan alternatif Supplier tertinggi adalah Supplier A (Magelang) dengan nilai 0,501.Metode Fuzzy AHP memutuskan criteria kualitas dengan bobot tertinggi yaitu nilai 1.Perbandingan metode AHP dan Fuzzy AHP menghasilkan pemilihan criteria utama yang sama yaitu criteria kualitas.
