Abstract

This research aims to analyze the design of laboratory activities (LKS) based on Vee diagrams on alcoholic fermentation respiration materials used in SMA/MA and then reconstruct them. This research method is descriptive qualitative with sampling carried out by purposive sampling by purposive sampling as many as 3 worksheet which refers to the 2013 curriculum. These results can be seen that the LKS on the alcohol fermentation material analyzed still cannot be used as a guide for practicum because it does not support aspects of competence and knowledge construction. Key words: Practicum, Alcoholic Fermentation, Volumetric Gasometer, Reaction   Rate ASBTRAK Penelitian yang dilakukan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis desain kegiatan laboratorium (LKS) berbasis diagram Vee pada materi respirasi fermentasi alcohol yang digunakan di SMA/MA untuk kemudian merekonstruksinya. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling menggunakan sebanyak 3 buah LKS yang mengacu pada   kurikulum 2013. Hasil tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa LKS pada materi fermentasi alcohol yang dianalisis masih tidak dapat digunakan sebagai pedoman untuk kegiatan praktikum karena tidak menunjang aspek kompetensi dan kosntruksi pengetauan. Abstract

Practicum measuring heart rate with the help of sensors on a smartphone as a learning strategy. Learning with the help of smartphone sensors is an innovation in learning that can help teachers to do practical work within the limitations of laboratory equipment and minimal costs. The importance of doing practicum with smartphone sensors can encourage students to reason with scientific methods and solve problems with scientific phenomena directly so that learning biology is not just a collection of knowledge in the form of facts, concepts or principles, there is a real discovery process but in practicum. Key words: smartphone sensor, practicum, heart rate, problem solving method   ABSTRAK Praktikum mengukur denyut jantung  dengan bantuan sensor pada smartphone sebagai strategi pembelajaran. Pembelajaran dengan batuan sensor smartphone merupakan inovasi dalam pembelajaran yang dapat membantu guru untuk melakukan praktikum dalam keadaan keterbatasan alat laboratorium dan biaya yang minim. Pentingnya melakukan praktikum dengan sensor smartphone dapat mendorong siswa dalam penalaran metode ilmiah dan pemecahan masalah dengan menyelidiki fenomena ilmiah secara langsung sehingga pembelajaran biologi bukan hanya merupakan kumpulan-kumpulan pengetahuan yang berupa fakta, konsep atau prinsip saja namun ada proses penemuan secara nyata dalam kegiatan praktikum. Abstract

Education in the 21st century requires innovation and creativity as well as skills including scientific literacy skills and numeracy literacy, one of which is experimental learning. Often experiments are constrained by insufficient learning time so that learning becomes less meaningful. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of applying the discovery model using the blended learning method using a simple volumetric gasometer in supporting scientific literacy. This research is an experimental research conducted in February 2023 at a Bandung high school. The research population was 432 students of class X at a senior high school in Bandung, which were divided into 12 classes. The sampling technique used simple random sampling so that 70 students were obtained consisting of 35 people from one control class and 35 people from one experimental class. The instrument used is a PISA question with the theme of innovation in alcoholic fermentation technology. Instruments were in the form of multiple choice questions and true wrong choice questions to measure scientific literacy profiles. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the learning outcomes of the discovery model by means of blended learning with practical methods using a simple volumetric gasometer can support scientific literacy.
