Abstract

The regional head election in Bantul in 2020 is an interesting political contestation event. This is because the previous incumbent regent and deputy regent in Bantul participated in this political contest, which broke up the joint venture. The struggle for power in Bantul is interestingly won by the previous deputy regent, Abdul Halim Muslih. This victory certainly raises a big question as to why Suharsono, who is actually an incumbent regent, is easily defeated. In fact, under the leadership of Suharsono, Bantul has always made various achievements both locally, nationally and internationally. Departing from this problem, it is necessary to examine how the strength of the political modalities between the two was so that in the end Abdul Halim Muslih won. The research conducted by qualitative approach by using descriptive method. The research materials were collected from library research. The author collects data through literature studies, both journals, media, news, KPU documents, or other literature that supports this paper. The researchers argue that the incumbent Abdul Halim Muslih’s victory in the 2020 Bantul Regional Head Election cannot be separated from the strength of social, cultural, and political modalities. The advantage of this modality is able to gain votes in the 2020 Bantul Regional Head Election. Although it must be admitted that Suharsono’s economic modality is better than Abdul Halim Muslih.

Abstract

Human resources are a problem that Batang Regency is still experiencing. Many policies have been and are being launched by the regional government and do not have enough impact. Therefore, with the situation experienced, the low level of human resources has become a complicated problem for the Batang Integrated Industrial Zone (KITB). The purpose of this article is to educate students at SMK Ma'arif 01 Limpung to be motivated to continue their studies in order to attend the KITB competition. Batang Regency still has people whose awareness of continuing higher education still needs to be higher. Seeing this situation, researchers carried out educational services for students to continue their higher education to face KITB at SMK Ma'arif NU 01 Limpung. This service method uses a participatory educational approach that partners and coordinates with the target school as the object of service. Evaluation of academic activities at Vocational School Ma'arif NU 01 Limpung shows an increase in student interest in continuing higher education. The visible positive attitude changes indicate that this activity was successful in motivating students towards the importance of higher education.

Abstract

Abstract

Disasters are complex issues that cannot be handled by a single actor. Even the government with all the resources at its disposal will not be able to solve disaster problems without involving networks and organizations outside the country. Therefor networking and collaboration are the keys to how to respond to disasters quickly and accurately so that the recovery process can occur quickly. In addition, responding to disasters requires a constructive strategy so that in overcoming disasters, it does not exacerbate the impact of the disaster.  The purpose of this article is to explore how Muhammadiyah's strategy as a civil Islam responds to the earthquake that occurred in West Sulawesi. The reason is because Muhammadiyah in responding to the disaster in West Sulawesi is an example of how its resources are optimally mobilized to solve the problem of the earthquake in West Sulawesi. Starting from the involvement of institutions such as MDMC, PWM, PDM, LazizMu, educational institutions, hospitals, social fields and others. It is of course very interesting to review how Muhammadiyah has provided support for the movement in responding to disasters as a call for a humanitarian mission that has long been inflated. This research method uses a qualitative approach and descriptive methods and in collecting data the author uses report data from Muhammadiyah, media, journals, news, or other literature. Research results show that Muhammadiyah's strategy is very effective for the recovery of disaster victims in West Sulawesi. This cannot be separated from how in the Muhammadiyah strategy, it has the strength of solidity, coordination, and networks that support and strengthen each other so that the organization between institutions is very successful.

Abstract

The instrument for regional structuring, particularly regional expansion leading to new autonomous regions, can be seen as a rational and logical implication of decentralization implementation. Decentralization, in turn, played a pivotal role in shaping the grand design of regional planning (Desertada) up until the imposition of a regional expansion moratorium in late 2009. This research employs a qualitative methodology, a case study approach, chosen due to its adaptability and effectiveness in addressing dynamic and unpredictable social contexts. The focal point of this study revolved around the narratives underlying the formation of new autonomous regions (DOB) in Papua, particularly emphasizing the discourse on welfare. The government has actively promoted narratives of welfare motives and national strategic interests. The government has actively promoted narratives of welfare motives and national strategic interests. Despite the expansion of the Papua region and the implementation of special autonomy, it is observed that these initiatives have not significantly contributed to development. Notably, the expansion process in Papua, marred by alleged procedural and material deficiencies, took place without indigenous Papuans' meaningful participation and consultation.
