Abstract

Abstract The problem of media utilization is experienced by teachers in Pasirkiamis Kec. Pasirwangi Samarang Village, Garut Regency. The village is projected to be a training village because of the potential of human resources it has. These efforts are realized through the implementation of Community Service activities in related villages. The form of activity offered to the community is Training to Utilize Playstore Application for Improving Reading Teaching Skills. In general, this training aims to develop teacher media literacy competencies for the purposes of BDR activities by utilizing the Playstore application on their respective devices, building the independence of the target audience in utilizing media. Pasirwangi Samarang Garut Regency was able to utilize the Playstore application on their respective devices, building the independence of the target audience in utilizing the media, not only the Playstore application but also Google Classroom and Augmented Reality in PJJ or BDR activities during the pandemic, as well as the public perception of media literacy of teachers in Pasirkiamis Village, Pasirwangi Samarang District, Garut Regency by using a Media Literacy questionnaire based on individual competence framework is very high. Abstrak Permasalahan pemanfaatan media dialami oleh para guru di Desa Pasirkiamis Kec. Pasirwangi Samarang Kabupaten Garut. Desa tersebut diproyeksikan untuk dijadikan desa pelatihan karena potensi sumber daya manusia yang dimilikinya. Upaya tersebut direalisasikan melalui pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di desa terkait. Bentuk kegiatan yang ditawarkan kepada masyarakat ialah Pelatihan Memanfaatkan Aplikasi Playstore untuk Peningkatan Kemampuan Mengajar Membaca. Hasil evaluasi mengarah pada beberapa simpulan di antaranya para guru di Desa Pasirkiamis Kec. Pasirwangi Samarang Kabupaten Garut mampu memanfaatkan aplikasi Playstore di gawainya masing-masing, membangun kemandirian khalayak sasaran dalam memanfaatkan media, tidak hanya aplikasi Playstore tetapi juga Google Classroom serta Augmented Reality dalam kegiatan PJJ atau BDR selama masa pandemi, serta persepsi khalayak mengenai literasi media para guru di Desa Pasirkiamis Kecamatan Pasirwangi Samarang Kabupaten Garut dengan menggunakan angket Literasi Media berbasis Individual Competence Framework sangat tinggi.

Abstract

Abstract The formation of students' character is doubtful for their success in learning during the current pandemic. Learning from home makes teachers limited in carrying out learning and building student character. One positive step is the School Literacy Movement. The success of this literacy activity will certainly succeed with the cooperation of teachers and parents to cultivate and provide literacy activities. This training focuses on the skills of teachers to digitize and use applications to provide literacy materials that can stimulate the formation of student character. The methods of implementing this training are introduction, training, practice, and simulation. The objects of this activity are the teachers of SD Negeri 2 Bayongbong and parents of students. This training begins with equalizing perceptions, presentation of materials, and practices in the form of digitalization simulations until they are distributed to students. The evaluation of this activity shows that this training can make it easier for teachers to prepare literacy materials and teaching materials so that they can succeed in the formation of student character. It is hoped that the teachers will succeed in GLS so that they can shape the character of students. Abstrak Pembentukan karakter siswa disangsikan keberhasilannya dalam pembelajaran di masa pandemi saat ini. Belajar dari rumah (BDR) membuat guru terbatas dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran serta pembentukan karakter siswa. Salah satu langkah positif yaitu dengan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS). Kesuksesan kegiatan literasi ini tentu akan berhasil atas kerjasama guru dan orang tua siswa untuk membudayakan dan menyediakan kegiatan literasi. Pelatihan ini berfokus pada keterampilan guru mendigitalisasi dan pemanfaatan aplikasi untuk menyediakan bahan literasi yang dapat merangsang pembentukan karakter siswa. Metode pelaksaanaan pelatihan ini ialah pendahuluan, pelatihan, praktik, dan simulasi. Objek kegiatan ini ialah para guru SD Negeri 2 Bayongbong dan orang tua siswa. Pelatihan ini, dimulai dengan penyamaan persepsi, pemaparan materi, dan praktik berupa simulasi digitalisasi hingga penyebarannya kepada siswa. Evaluasi kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa pelatihan ini dapat mempermudah guru menyiapkan bahan literasi dan bahan ajar sehingga dapat menyukseskan pembentukan karakter siswa. Diharapkan para guru menyukseskan GLS sehingga dapat membentuk karakter siswa.

Abstract

Abstract The use of good and correct Indonesian is one of the ideals of the nation as stated in the law. This is used as an effort to strengthen government administration at the central to regional levels. Efforts to strengthen the Indonesian language in local government administration are the use of good and correct language in correspondence. They do not know the use of official letter language in accordance with linguistic rules. This is evident from the results of the analysis of errors in correspondence made by the Mekarjaya village apparatus in the Bayongbong sub-district, Garut district. The results of the analysis show that there are many errors in the use of letters and editorial errors, including the use of diction, spelling, effective sentences, titi prey, and letterhead. With these problems, training in writing correspondence in good and correct Indonesian was carried out for the Mekarjaya village apparatus, Bayongbong district, Garut district. The results of the training showed an increase in knowledge and practice in making correspondence according to the standard rules for writing official letters. Abstrak Penggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar merupakan salah satu cita-cita bangsa yang tertuang dalam undang-undang. Hal ini dijadikan sebagai upaya peguatan administrasi pemerintahan baik di jenjang pusat hingga daerah. Upaya penguatan bahasa Indonesia dalam administrasi pemerintahan daerah adalah penggunana bahasa yang baik dan benar pada surat menyurat. Mereka kurang mengetahui penggunaan bahasa surat resmi yang sesuai dengan kaidah kebahasaan. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil analisis kesalahan dalam surat menyurat yang dibuat oleh aparatur desa Mekarjaya di kecamatan Bayongbong kabupaten Garut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan banyaknya kesalahan dalam penggunaan bentuk surat dan kesalahan redaksi surat meliputi penggunaan diksi, ejaan, kalimat efektif, titi mangsa, serta kop surat. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukanlah pelatihan penulisan surat menyurat dengan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar kepada aparatur desa Mekarjaya kecamatan Bayongbong kabupaten Garut. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan praktik dalam membuat surat menyurat sesuai dengan aturan standar baku penulisan surat resmi.

Abstract

This research is entitled "Effectiveness of the Reciprocal Teaching Model with the STAD Model in Learning Poetry for Class X SMA Negeri 11 Garut in the Academic Year 2022/2023". theoretical. This study aims to analyze differences in the effectiveness of learning by using the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) and Reciprocal Teaching models in improving poetry learning in class X students of SMA Negeri 11 Garut. This study used a quasi-experimental method, namely by giving treatment to two different sample classes. The research population was students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 11 Garut with a sample of class X MIPA 7 as the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) class and class X MIPA 8 as the Reciprocal Teaching class. Data collection techniques in the form of tests carried out after being given treatment. The results showed that (1) an increase in students' poetry learning abilities using the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) model obtained a high increase. (2) Increasing students' poetry learning ability using the Reciprocal Teaching model experienced a high increase. (3) Learning with the Reciprocal Teaching model is more effective than learning with the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) model in improving students' poetry learning abilities. Based on the research findings above, the two learning models are appropriate for use by teachers as an alternative to improve poetry learning abilities.Keywords: Poetry Learning, STAD, Reciprocal Teaching.
