Abstract

This article contains ideas to present examples of inductive modeling in learning sentence structure. The stagesof the offered inductive model consist of the introductory stage, the data presentation stage, the stage of conceptachievement, the stabilization stage, and the closure stage. Each step consists of several steps that are concretelyillustrated through a learning scenario. The emphasis of this model is directed to the development of students'thinking skills in addition to the complete mastery of the contents of the lecture structure of the sentencepresented. The expected instructional impact through this inductive model scenario example is to improvestudents' ability to master sentence concept and deepen their experience in dealing with sentence structure data.The expected impact of the comrades is to instill the habit of always thinking critically and fostering the spirit ofcreativity.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning in schools must be carried out with various methods so that students are not bored in learning. The cooperative learning model is one of the learning models that can activate students so that it is very suitable for use in learning Indonesian. The results of the author's observations show that teachers in the field often only use conventional learning models because they rarely master various learning models that activate students. This community service activity aims to provide training in the application of various cooperative learning models for teachers in Wanaraja District, Garut Regency. Through this service activity, it is hoped that teachers will be able and skilled in using various cooperative learning models in teaching and learning activities in the classroom. The benefits obtained from this activity are that with the skills possessed by the teacher, students can learn Indonesian subjects in a fun method so that all the basic competencies proclaimed in the learning curriculum can be achieved.

Abstract

A Short story is a miniature of people's experience while the characters, plot, and setting aim to record imaginative events (Stanton, 2017). When making up story ideas, students have problems developing story facts such as plot, characters, and settings (Sayuti, 2006). This barrier emerged conflicts that were unevenly distributed across all stages of the course. The direct characterization employed in storytelling made the short stories less varied. The physical and setting depicted did not work out optimally. The advantage of using the synectic model is that it can allow students to look for and makeup concepts to describe objects through an analogy process. Augmented Reality allows users to interact with an object's interface and see it in a well-designed and attractive 3D format, so it can solve student difficulties in developing story ideas in writing short stories

Abstract

This article discusses the results of research on the structure of texts and ideologies contained in online news discourse with the theme of the election of the Governor of DKI Jakarta. The method used in this qualitative research is descriptive analytical method. The data sources are ten news discourses published by Kompas.com, Merdeka.com, and VIVAnews.com media in March and April 2017. The data were analyzed for text structure using van Dijk's theory of critical discourse analysis. The results show that the macro structure formed by journalists in news discourse with the theme of the election of the Governor of DKI Jakarta generally uses a frontal theme and tries to convince readers of what they write. The superstructure shows that journalists have provided systematic information according to their respective ideologies. The microstructure generally displays news content that influences public opinion, generates support, strengthens legitimacy, and eliminates opponents. The ideological representations contained in news discourse generally describe the legitimacy process of the dominant group against the minority group.

Abstract

Abstract One of the indicators of student success in learning is the use of interesting and varied learning methods. Therefore, teachers must learn and improve their abilities regarding the selection and use of learning methods. In this regard, a training on the development and use of the Indonesian language learning model was held for school teachers. The training technique is carried out in three stages, namely, introduction, design, and simulation. Meanwhile, the learning models given are Firing Line, Make a Match, Window Shopping, and Number Head Together learning models. The number of participants who attended and the high enthusiasm of participants during the training proved that this training activity provided benefits for elementary school teachers to develop their abilities, especially in the selection and use of learning methods. Abstrak Keberhasilan siswa dalam pembelajaran salah satu indikatornya adalah penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang menarik dan bervariatif. Oleh karena itu, guru harus mempelajari dan meningkatkan kemampuannya terkait pemilihan dan penggunaan metode pembelajaran. Berkenaan dengan hal tersebut, maka diadakan sebuah pelatihan pengembangan dan penggunaan model pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia bagi guru sekolah. Teknik pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu, pengenalan, rancangan, dan simulasi. Sedangkan, model-model pembelajaran yang diberikan adalah model pembelajaran Firing Line, Make a Match, Window Shoping, dan Number Head Together. Banyaknya peserta yang hadir dan antusias peserta yang tinggi saat mengikuti pelatihan membuktikan, bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat bagi guru sekolah dasar untuk mengembangkan kemampuan dirinya terutama dalam pemilihan dan penggunaan metode pembelajaran.

Abstract

As a country that has the largest number of Muslims in the world, Indonesia is a country that is vulnerable to the issue of terrorism. This study aimed to examine news on the link between terrorism and news developing in online media regarding a woman who pointed a gun at Presidential Guard at the State Palace. The data for this study were sourced speech and dialogue in the online media Tvonenews.com, Nasional.kompas.com, and CNBCINdonesia.com about women carrying firearms to the State Palace. Data collection methods and techniques used the content analysis method with the critical discourse analysis approach of the Teun A Van Dijk model. The results of the study showed that women carrying pistols were narrated by the online media Tvonenews.com with the headline "Voice Veil Breaks Through the Presidential Palace, PKS Politicians: Don't Enter MENTAL DISORDERS" and Nasional.Kompas.com with the headline "Moeldoko: Women Pointing Gun at Presidential Guard Allegedly Having Individual Motives" has attempted to link the case to Islamic religious identity, in other words, terrorism. However, the online media, CNBCIndonesia.com entitled “A Woman is Pointing a Gun at Paspampre, These are the Facts…” does not make any connection between this and terrorism or Islamic faith.

Abstract

This study focuses on sexual violence against women in the context of online media coverage. Ethical media is expected to present information with objectivity and balance. Various reports on sexual harassment frequently experienced by women represent individuals within a discourse. Currently, the exploitation of women is carried out in more intellectual and visually appealing ways, including through the discourse expressed in mass media. In the media, women are often given prominent visual emphasis, while their true meaning is often overlooked. If this continues, it will further reinforce gender disparities between women and men, potentially increasing the oppression faced by women. The problem addressed in this research is the discourse analysis using Sara Mills' theory. Sara Mills focuses her discourse theory discussion on feminist issues, including how women are portrayed in the news. The research method employed is a literature review. Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that there is bias in the representation of women in news texts across three different media outlets. Abstract Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada kekerasan seksual yang terjadi pada perempuan dalam konteks pemberitaan media bold. Media yang berintegrasi diharapkan mampu menyajikan informasi dengan objektivitas dan keseimbangan. Berbagai laporan mengenai pelecehan seksual yang sering menimpa perempuan merepresentasikan individu dalam suatu wacana. Saat ini, tereksploitasi terhadap perempuan dilakukan dengan cara yang lebih intelektual dan dikemas secara menarik, termasuk melalui wawasan yang sepi dalam media massa. Dalam media, perempuan sering kali diberi penekanan visual yang menonjol, namun makna yang sebenarnya seringkali terabaikan. Jika hal ini terus berlanjut, akan semakin memperkuat ketegangan gender antara perempuan dan laki-laki, yang berpotensi meningkatkan penahanan terhadap perempuan. Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis wacana dengan menggunakan teori Sara Mills. Sara Mills memfokuskan pembahasan teori wacana pada isu-isu feminisme, termasuk bagaimana perempuan ditampilkan dalam berita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, artinya terdapat bias dalam representasi perempuan dalam teks berita pada tiga media yang berbeda.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the positions of the subject and object, as well as the positions of the writer and reader, in the online news coverage of Kompas.com, Tribunjabar.com, Detik.com, Metro, BBC News Indonesia, and Tvone.com. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. The focus of this research is online news coverage related to incidents of forced eviction reported in 2023, with the research object being the position of women's language in the news. Data collection is conducted through the analysis of sexual harassment news rubrics published by Kompas.com, Tribunjabar.com, Detik.com, Metro, BBC News Indonesia, and Tvone.com using the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach by Sara Mills, while considering several elements. The instrument used is a table that identifies the language styles used in the news coverage. The results of this research indicate the presence of Subject-Object Position, Writer Position, and Reader Position that correspond to the elements of Sara Mills' CDA. Abstract Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan posisi subjek dan objek serta posisi penulis dan pembaca yang terdapat dalam pemberitaan media online Kompas.com, Tribunjabar.com, Detik.com, Metro, BBC News Indonesia, dan Tvone.com. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Fokus penelitian ini adalah pemberitaan online berkenaan dengan peristiwan pemerkosaan yang diberitakan pada tahun 2023, dengan objek penelitian berupa posisi bahasa perempuan dalam pemberitaan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui analisis rubric pemberitaan pelecehan seksual yang diberitakan oleh Kompas.com, Tribunjabar.com, Detik.com, Metro, BBC News Indonesia, dan Tvone.com menggunakan pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) Sara Mills, dengan memperhatikan beberapa elemen. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tabel yang mengidentifikasi gaya bahasa yang digunakan dalam pemberitaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya Posisi Subjek-Objek, Posisi Penulis, dan Pembaca yang sesuai dengan elemen-elemen AWK Sara Mills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of PowerPoint learning multimedia on increasing motivation and student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject in class XII IPS 2 MA Daarul Abroor Tasikmalaya. The method used is pre-Experimental Design. With the form of One-Group Pretest-Postest Designs, which compares the results of the pre-test and post-test. The sample of this research was 32 students, namely class XII IPS 2 MA Daarul Abroor Tasikmalaya. Researchers used data collection techniques in the form of pre-test and post-test. From the results of this study, the following conclusions were obtained: (1) The use of PowerPoint learning multimedia was effective in increasing student motivation in Indonesian language subjects in Class XII IPS 2 MA Daarul Abroor Tasikmalaya. This is proven by the Wilcoxon Test that z = -4.940 and the value of Asym.Sig (2-tailed) -0.000 because the resulting value of Asym.Sig (2-tailed) is smaller than the alpha used, which is 0.05, then Ho is rejected or Ha accepted; and (2) The use of PowerPoint learning multimedia is effective in improving student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject in Class XIl IPS 2 MA Daarul Abroor Tasikmalaya. This is proven by the Wilcoxon Test, the value of z = -4.939 and the value of Asym.Sig (2-tailed) = 0.000 because the resulting value of Asym.Sig (2-tailed) is smaller than the alpha used, which is 0.05, then Ho is rejected or Haha accepted. This study concluded that the use of PowerPoint learning multimedia effectively had a significant influence on the motivation and learning outcomes of class XII IPS 2 MA Daarul Abroor Tasikmalaya. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of parents' education level on student achievement in learning Indonesian. The method in this study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational research design. The research subjects were grade VIII students of junior high school consisting of 40 students. Instruments as data collection tools in the form of questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques using simple and multiple regression tests. The results showed that between parents' educational level and students' Indonesian learning achievement there was a significant and positive influence with a large influence of 18.8%. As for the educational level of parents and learning motivation on students' Indonesian learning achievement, there is a significant and positive influence with a large influence of 30.1%. Based on the findings of this study, there is an influence of parents' educational level and learning motivation on learning achievement.
