Abstract

This activity is a community service activity for the people of Purbosari village, Ngadirejo sub-district, Temanggung Regency. as part of the activities of the Central Java Province Bappeda for the 2017 fiscal year. The problem that is being handled is the problem of the loss of livelihoods of the tobacco farming community due to restrictions on tobacco farming and tobacco products. This activity is also an implementation of the Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 28 / PMK.07 / 2016 concerning the Use, Monitoring and Evaluation of Tobacco Excise Production Sharing Funds. The model used is a community-based tourism development model as a form of the tourism sector's creative economy that provides optimal benefits to the community. The service process is carried out by means of efforts to empower the people's economy in the tourism sector with a community-based tourism (CBT) approach or community-based tourism by involving local communities in activities, which include the introduction of tourism potential and training on the utilization of local non-tobacco agricultural potentials to be processed into culinary products and by by tours. The local community is motivated to become the main actor in the management of tourism activities that arise from the utilization of the local potential that exists in the service location. The result of this activity is the achievement of community understanding of tourism as an alternative to activities other than tobacco farming, understanding of local tourism potential, development of tourism activities and tourism support activities in the location.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Dunia pendidikan tidak terlepas dari pembahasan mengenai perkembangan para siswanya, termasuk siswa remaja. Remaja merupakan masa perkembangan yang rentan terhadap timbulnya masalah, sehingga masa ini dikenal sebagai masa storm and stress. Beberapa faktor yang menjadi komponen dalam perkembangan siswa remaja di sekolah antara lain orangtua/wali, guru, kondisi keluarga, teman sebaya (peer), lingkungan pertemanan, dan media sosial. Dukungan positif dari orangtua/wali siswa sangat diperlukan untuk mendampingi perkembangan anaknya agar terhindar dari masalah-masalah remaja yang mungkin timbul. Sekolah sebagai lingkungan terdekat kedua juga memiliki andil dalam mengatasi masalah siswa remaja. Peran ini terwujud melalui unit Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) yang berupaya untuk memberikan pelayanan preventif maupun kuratif terhadap masalah-masalah yang mungkin timbul. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, tim Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat menyusun program psikoedukasi yang dapat diduplikasi oleh unit Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) di sekolah dengan menggunakan metode psikoedukasi online maupun offline. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan dan mempraktekkan modul program layanan BK agar permasalahan siswa remaja teratasi. Selain itu, program ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi mengenai parenting kepada orang tua dan wali siswa. Capaian kegiatan ini adalah tersusunnya artikel ilmiah serta modul program psikoedukasi yang dapat digunakan oleh guru BK di SMP Bruderan Purwokerto. ABSTRACT Education cannot be separated from discussion about students, adolescent students included. Adolescence is a developmental period full of problems, also known as period of storm and stress. Developmental of adolescence influenced by many factors such as parents/guardians, teachers, family conditions, peers, friendships, and social media. Positive support from parents/guardians are needed to avoid teenage problems that may arise. School as the second closest environment has an important role to handle these problems. Guidance and Counseling unit has this functions, it is to provide preventive and curative services to the potential problems. Our team developed a psychoeducational program that could be duplicated by Guidance and Counseling unit at school, using online or offline methods. This activity aims to produce and practice program modules in order to minimize teenage problems. In addition, this program also provide parenting education for parents/guardians. The output of this activity are scientific articles and program modules that can be used by teachers at SMP Bruderan Purwokerto.

Abstract

The impact of the COVID-19 outbreak has caused every college and school to stop offline learning activities. For one year, online tourism learning has become a learning option, as well as a new challenge for students and lecturers. This study aims to find out the problems and challenges faced by students during online tourism learning during the pandemic. Respondents from this study were 67 students who took tourism courses. The results showed that students experienced a number of difficulties during online learning such as signal difficulties, lack of motivation to study, difficulty concentrating, and difficulties in practicing tour guiding online. The positive sides of online learning include; unlimited distance, prevent the transmission of the covid-19 virus, no need to meet in person. Overall, students prefer offline tourism learning compared to online learning due to the difficulties they face during the implementation of online learning. It is hoped that lecturers can convey interesting methods and techniques in online tourism teaching to boost student motivation and performance to study tourism in this pandemic situation.
